A country yearns industry
from assiduous minds revolutionary,
cities conceived with mind set and skill
yet lay insipid in the body of Britannia
those in need of life’s blood,
akin to human organs
served only; by arterial veins.

The first sod to lift an unfolding nation
the first cut the inauguration the call,
have a thought pleasure seeker
enduring men with pick, shovel, some did fall,
his sweat given freely or not as the case may be
to mingle with earth removed
or deep within copse ghyll may well be for a tree.

The Dales emptied, of its men
famine ravaged Ireland too,
drawn towards the rush of new born adrenaline
a creation of foresight
when the need for this an artery to flow
through lock, tunnel aqueduct,
transforming her virgin land
albeit out of trades of old,
an era steeped in tradition
tools an extension: of one’s own hand.

Adverse weather geography
this realm having found fame,
complexity from above, below,
the elements the environment
nothing to stand in obsessions way,
from soil to solid rock, energy sapping
clods of clay negotiated all
amidst many tongues, yet same laborious conclusion
wheeled away by the barrowman;
horse and cart.

This precious land host to many heroes
those upon columns stand tall,
our sons live on in remembrance
a memorial for them all,
so to this symbolic structure
craved through hostile terrain,
a burly navvies sculptured cleft
within the very earth
his body one day to lay.

Oh the city Leeds, city Liverpool and those in between
the bargees upon the cut there now do dwell
living within the ideals of another time sown
but of ease it is with just a memory
conservation the historic debt on loan!

Remnants

Sad Heart, now thou art wither’d from the Sun,
What man, or god, will near thee run?
Wrought in twist like branches in Tempests' gasp,
What Comfort, or Gauze, shall be near to grasp?
True ones begotten are the ones now Rotten
And the ones now Rotten will never be forgotten
They are merely sad remains of assiduous Tears
That have been meddl’d with and tatter’d Raw throughout the years

And thou, cruel Mind, that sat’st still thru toiling trail of Night;
Must dream your broken Dreams; thou’rt a sanely flight!
Can thou extinguish passions of Fire, Disease, or Rain?
—tho thy distinguish’d influence trains to abstain
Thy Remnants brought to debris in thy Empty street,
Devour’d by Vultures, their bestow’d beaks entreat
Merely are they cleaning an inexhaustible Mess
Alas! Leaving thy rudiments of Identity to redress....

Essence of Her Human Spirit.

Her song carried out in sweetest rapture notes so pellucid
Breathe of them in listened serenity…

Her eyes show the portrait of what truly exists within
A subject of assiduous study…

Bearing witness her ears chronicle every touch of moment
Append her the whisper of ardor…

Those thoughts build stairs to the threshold of her mind
Scale its heights with pure intent…

One unsullied heart in pash heated spirit given to me freely
Held amorously it becomes my own…

I enter her arms into the gateway of tender adoration
Where I sleep safely in serenities peace…

Message To The Blackman

If slavery was a choice, as some have agreed, then what are we?
If watching your father and mother endure rape or murder was a choice,
Then why do we sit on idle hands, while Trump eradicates our posterity’s opportunities,
As if they were written in sand?
If not being able to read was a choice,
Then why do you go to the PlayStation in a rush
while your library card collects dust?
Even a Ward educates themselves,
Even the eunuch Greyjoy developed the courage to stand against evil.

In the midst of upheaval, one mustn’t look through a straw while planning the future.
The sagacious knows fighting must be eschewed when only death is in thy terms.
Allah heard their suffering, but sometimes the way out is through.
They didn’t endure out of docility or obsequiousness,
But out of discernment and sagacity.
The desolate doesn’t become prosperous by exclaiming tumultuous absurdities,
But by embodying opulent minds.

Go back to the mother, which is the way, and endure the storm,
While being metamorphic in form.
You see, my Kings and Queens,
The only choice they made was to give their posterity a fighting chance,
To gather strength while the usurpers wane and start to underestimate.
We must pick up the quill and write our own fates,
No more brooding or carping about what Donny Thrump is doing.
One man’s decisions determine another man’s life,
As much as a drought challenges the land.
Yet, life, like the Way, will always find a path to flourish,
Forevermore permeating even the harshest conditions.

We must stop talking about what great leaders and men should be,
And become Great Men and Assiduous Leaders.
We were the first great civilization and shall act as such.
Lead with grace,
Strike with prudence,
Read great books that enrich the mind,
Treat each other with unyielding reverence,
Because we each carry a piece of the divine.
I am that I am, and I am my brother's keeper.

Creatures Great and Small

CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

Of all creatures great and small
Insects are most assiduous folk of all
They perform assigned duties each day
And let nothing dissuade them on their way
The till the soil and collect the forage
Their labor brings them food, some for storage
Their diligent spirits have no equaled pace
Mostly repulsed by a higher stationed race
Human beings became Self appointed superiors
But without these small beasts humans would be their inferiors

Premium Member Little Gray Pirates

From crude wooden ships
Made of twigs and leaves
That sail in the wind
Now moored in the trees
Down from the crows' nest
And over the sides
They descend like raiders
In camouflaged disguise
Furry gray pirates
Plunder and sift
Nuggets pilfered in fall
Ensconced in the drift
No X's or paces
On hand drawn maps
Buccaneers dig kickshaws
For cold winter fat
Assiduous and nervous
And always on alert
For hungry bounty hunters
Aware of their worth
Threatened they scatter
It's "All hands on deck"
Retreating from danger
Their lives are in check
Back to the safety
Of the moored ships that sway
Make ready to sail
And loot the next day

A LEAPING ACQUAINTANCE

O ask me if a friend is mine for keeping
And I will scroll down her countenance in years
To show acquaintance that’s a target leaping

And I will tell you of the long nights’ weeping
Into the valley of the corrupted seers
That her acquaintance was a target, leaping

As if acts of confidence were seeping
Down the drainpipe like a burst of tears,
Asking if a friend is for safe keeping,

Secrets unravelled in the glare, bleeping
With the traffic of the times that hooked my peers
Just ask me if her friendship’s mine for keeping:

I say, a pox on their assiduous reaping
Their facts are gleaned where the bar sells beers
To show acquaintances like a target, leaping

On opportunity, grafting on chances, peeping
With trashy envious shades adrift in leers;
O ask me if this friend is worth the keeping,
I’ll show an acquaintance missed the target, leaping.

Winding River

The time is early spring
The glacier melts into a fresh spring
The birds in the forests begin to sing
The magpie in her nest puts found by her golden ring

The spring turns into a stream and fallows the butterfly
That has a on its wings ornament in shape of an eye
As the butterfly will fly
More water the nearby streams will supply

Stream turns into the river that is winding through countryside
On the way it sees the wolf that in the forest will hide
The deer will drink from it when their mouths will dry
Above it hawk with his keen eyesight through the air will glide

The dam made by assiduous beavers is laying in the way
During the night the visage of the river reflects the stars of Milky Way
Latter the river passes by stacks of hay
And children swim in it during the day

Fallowing the otters to the canyon river flows
The rapids make sound that through the valley echoes
The white water makes powerful billows
On the canyon walls there are remains of ancient past that in time froze

Those remains are of mosasurs that are hidden in those walls
Sometimes a bone to the river falls
They are clues to the earth’s past and maybe to future that it befalls
As well as hidden hand the soul of earth that from the ancient time calls

To complete its destiny
The river will flow into the sea
That with its violet blue eyes looks up to skies mystery
Its magnificence and majesty written in spirits’ essence like words on a trophy

Just Because

Why do you say you are not that to me?
I never asked you to be anything.

Why do you think my life revolves around you?
I know your integrity is not true.

Just because we are people of structure does not mean you have to care
     for the next person.

In statement, I address what you say.
I know that you do not play.

When the hurricane hit, I knew you were only looking out for yourself.
Just because we all are in a humanitarian world, does not mean you have
to give a damn about the next individual.

What if the same was done to you, just because...
Would outcry for help be heard?

Altruistic we define just because we love life.
Philanthropic is a benevolent fight.
Just because wrong must become right.

Misanthropic this designs.
Why not be assiduous just because you are part of mankind?

Why not joist life?
Just because…

Why am I here?
Then again...
From where did I come?

Amanda Knox

(this pastiche pertaining to maya own inc ore pore rated poetic patois promulgated many moons ago from those screaming bloody thirsty headlines from the Italian court for justice sans the brutal homicide attributed to this then American college student and her ex-boyfriend).

with the assiduous vigor of a cadre of volunteers
brought sought after fruition of freedom
per the release of imprisoned young (twenty something) American lass
whose former life sentenced commuted to egress from an Italian jail
to her home within Seattle, Washington
whereby family, friends and strangers who fought for her liberation
breathed one palpable surprising sigh of euphoric relief
when the plane who boarded landed safely on the tarmac of SEATAC
aswarm with frenzied television camera crews
scrambled to get the initial scoop and what promises
to land this once anonymous cell bait
an undisclosed amount of lucre
which many on the other side of the pond
find mind boggling if not downright objectionable
   moreso livid with rage
against the Machiavellian machine
on account of supposed culpability in tandem with her then boy friend
accused (under the guise of guilty fiat)
   sans homicide of college roommate
now sought after garnering this fawning female
(salaciously tagged by Perugian court with the sobriquet “she wolf”
now faces a future replete with riches aplenty
allowing gravity of ugly epithet plus stigma from accusation of murder
to serve as basis for what will no doubt be a best seller
not to mention made for the silver screen blockbuster
with subsequent royal carpet treatment
to compensate for guilty judgment decreed
without tangible evidence nor fair trial to boot!

I Will, Pursue My Dreams

A hankering for a well-of life,
Reminds me to focus on my dreams.
And assiduous itself, is my caliber -
That relies its origin from dedication;
Because nothing rules my mind, but the words,
I will, pursue my dreams.

Being intense about a well-to-do lifestyle,
Enthuses me to ponder on my goals.
And industrious is what reveals my progress and productivity;
Which is brought by tireless all day long day!
Because nothing encourages me, but the words,
I will, pursue my dreams.

Being ardent about that moneyed life!
Engenders me to contemplate on my professions.
And hardworking itself, is my best friend;
That keeps me me unremitting and single-minded.
Because nothing lies deep in my heart, but the words,
I will, pursue my dreams.

Trumps Feeble, Limp, Rox... Zilch State Of Emergency

H.G. Wells..., ah...now there

with an assiduous presentation
convinced listeners, how
aliens did cannibalize

innocent Earthlings strictly via radio,
where rapt audience could actualize
"FAKE subjects" pretended to agonize,
yea of course after receiving
substance that did anesthetize

in an effort to minimize
potential melee erupting,
which feasible outburst,
could tinder, kindle, and antagonize
crowdsourcing masses,

who suddenly became repentant,
and sought to apologize
each to their personal deity, apprise
zing respective comportment, thus
the apprenticed faux presidential Don,

rather than agonize
over farcical shenanigans, where dissension
among rank ken file seems to arise,
could take page from said playbook
visiting storied aforementioned scribe,

whose spirit author might be able to authorize
and conjure creative satisfactory
acceptable non costly deterrent breadthwise
cuz, more anger will materialize,
particularly if monies summarily brutalize

for social services that benefit the 99%

or if Semitic tolled uncivil lies,

purportedly for best interests
of citizens at heart, but tummy

the immigrant experience that peopled

United States Of America, who did colonize
at expense of rightful natives
scattered innocent tribes, whose demise
vis a vis any fact checker, would
clearly recognize as blatant lies!

Study Sonnet: Aseptic and August Become Family

Auspicious August was a king of old,
who used aspersion as if it were gold.
Baron Aseptic, he declared: filthy,
and his best virtue, his asperity.

The Baroness called the king audacious,
her husband was very assiduous.
“He austerely cleansed all crime from his land,
King August could not claim something so grand.”

Though true, most ascribe her words to her end.
August assailed the Baron to defend
Pride and Respect. The Baron was astute,
killed his wife to appease the royal brute.

His atonement acceptable, the king
made him Groom in the princess’s wedding.
