Best Amen Poems
I ransack my mind…the blurred tale that cries
On hollow tracks scarcely finding life's way
The bleakest moans, the clearest views reprise--
A pounding shrill of angst which reels all day.
Though a prayerful night quietly drains,
Above, a communion with God remains.
From my confined walls, moonlight slowly bleeds
Ghastly this shadow grilling a leaked pen:
And yet, one flint from heaven’s star accedes
Endowing malaise its final amen.
Shall I grow weaker and perhaps forget
How double-edged illness comes with youth's rain?
Oh where I recline, next evening won't set
Dear moments when smiles are lucid again.
Here... tidal bowl with apples soon to fade
As breaths drop, pass through dusk’s advancing shade.

We are the last animals on earth,
Sneakily chasing elephants,
In the perilous bush, o Delight!
Eating frogs with forks
And sweet sour cream,
Reading books to dream about lazy whales,
The last animals,
Raising lions in traveling circuses,
To slaughter sheep in the name of God Almighty,
We are the last animals
Running away from hungry bears in the snowy Rockies,
To steal honey from worshipping bees, o Delight!
The last animals to change color, pain,
To whip the green asses in Sichuan,
The last animals on earth,
Feeding yellow birds in wicker cages,
To frighten the ostriches with large black feathers,
Breathing in the golden aurora jungle,
Living alone under the fast clouds,
We are the last animals, o Delight!
Capturing butterflies in picture books,
To tear the dresses with pink and high flowers
Impudic women, sweet strawberries,
To the delight of white panthers with sharp claws,
Really people, tell me, aren’t we wild animals?
Amen.
Would you realize if He was standing right by your side
For as hard as He continually tries you stay right in stride
Walking your own way in the making of all your own rules
In not having the time to pray joining the rest of the fools
Yet with you He still walks, always walking before you
In wanting to have these talks about what is really true
He stays there ready to forgive even the most horrid sin
But your only reason to live is to go out there to win
And yet with you there He stays upon each new wrong way
Having never offered any praise nor did you choose to pray
Still by your side He stands, just waiting for you to respond
For the Lord does not make demands in completing this bond
Turn around today for we are not guaranteed tomorrow
Continuing upon your present way will only end up in sorrow
But it’s that joy you will lose that will haunt you the most
When you only had to choose, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
The steeples tower over our flags
Dissent is not allowed here
How dare you not say the pledge!
Shots ring out in the crowded halls
Our children fall; victims of the sickness
We awaken from fractured dreams of something resembling freedom
Our electronic opinions hang like public laundry on a line
Eyeless sheep file out of the pews and into the voting booths
And the gods recklessly direct baseless wars against ourselves
Love is endless, colorless and blind
...butt where can I find toilet paper
to wipe my behind!?
Love is everywhere
onejust has to see
for the heart is my inner teacher
my inner tree
I reach for a branch
extend it thus so
and the roots within me tell me to grow
Reach out and be the branch
not the roots down below
Reflecting upon his love
His inspiration
How he died
Whispering prayers
Breaking his mother’s heart and
All who wish for healing
His home is not our evil world
This sin free gift has a passionate purpose
And courage uttering “It is finished”.
Upon scaling the peak
We reach a plateau
Before which new peaks appear
Thus the crest
Becomes the trough
Holding erect energies
For onward ascent
There then thus
No higher or lower
All that is
Is God-vibration
Pervading the universe

You know there's more to life
than what meets the eye
when you're sitting on the amen pew.
It's the worldly things
that you pass by
When you're sitting on the amen pew.
There's more to church
than just being seen
and when you shout "Amen"
that's what you really mean.
What others may think
just don't mean a thing.
When you're sitting on the amen pew.
The sunrise was like a fertilized egg
golden of yolk and flecked with blood,
it crowed to the mist filled morn.
It ran over the hillside frying the vegetation.
The brilliant white albumen flowed
into the vague gray day.
The egg itself blushed at the flattery
extending pseudo pods of white
like rays outward against
the steel gray of the frying pan
it's yolk congealed a burgeoning
like the celestial eye of Ra.

SAY AMEN!
Sometimes the world tries to come in with confusion and
misconceptions but the hand of God is seen and the world disappears.
When the soul becomes dishearten, and spirit lies heavy within, I am in the
Lord’s hands.
You may watch to see my steps hindered.
You may wish all bad things.
However, through the grace of God, my path will not alter.
I will claim the victory.
I was told by a great woman if the Lord is for you the world cannot cause you
any harm.
This woman past long ago but I continue to hear her words.
A treacherous journey I have travel to affirm the work of God.
I have many roles to partake to form via his commandments.
Life is not to be a manifestation of ill will.
The Lord is my vestibule when I am tested in faith.
I find this passageway.
In solace, he comforts me and provides succor.
In prayer, I worship.
Never a defeated purpose is found even when sylphs are broken.
I am faithful to the knowledge of knowing that I am being consoled by
Jehovah.
Emphatic is internal dialogue.
Unequivocal, is the Messiah in his leadership.
The Holy Scripture, as inscribed by his prophets and apostles, is dictum that
guides in anything.
Peace be unto you this day.
Believe in a greater determination and pray.
Worship the Lord Almighty through a righteous way.
At all times, give God the praise.
Say Amen!

PENNED ON AUGUST 10, 2014!
I go to church and say amen once a week
But in my boat and in my spot
I am much more patient, quiet, and meek
I toss my line it’s just the right shot!!
Again, I will say amen as the bass does grin a lot.

Food nourishes the prayerful and the blind.
This day no mourning is proper,
but tilted.
Streaming video is no comfort
when the cold howls outside.
Where are you going with this?
Lead on lead on, you farcical clown.
Makeshift shanties will suffice
when cold is not remorse,
and video streams into the window.
Bring up a zephyr from the south
to ease this chill.
My, my sweet prince
who sings to heaven—
Merrily we dance all day
then freeze at night.
The cold is evermore,
evermore.
Tying bubbles to a trampoline
is hopeless, remorseless.
Evermore they sing, and nobody
knows the proper tune.
Exhume the day from night
And peek through the slit of dawn.
The cold is evermore,
evermore.
To face it will crust the cheek
like ice
And bruise the spine with grace,
But my Amen is fixed, terminal.
Jesus will write you in his book
with blood-ink,
And we must drift that way
like a leaf blowing
in the cold wind--
heartbroken.
the great river meandering its lazy banks moves its fertility trough eons to keep you guessing its abundance.
The great river is whimsical with its torrents and torment to swallow in an instant your dreams of rich.
but you persevere from nursery to nursing home as in the between is a gift not to be questioned but lived to the fullest for a fool to play the game.
Oh, lord lovely lord
almighty father
come
and help me
be with me
send the saints to me
before
I give myself to the wild dogs
to devour it apart
come
and
take the pain inside me
Oh, lord!
Lovely lord
I do not deserve to live
but yet I do not want to die.
Almighty father you are the might power
saviour of the world
alpha
and omega,
lord father
life sucks down here
take away my soul
but
show me
the way
back
home.
