Minds Morally Blind and Unkind

Deceit and duplicity, vengeance and vanity
Exploit our weaknesses and dissipate our souls’ strength
As arrogance cockroaches multiply their insanity
We diminish the strength of our faith

The more we immerse ourselves in new technologies
Stung by advances in artificial intelligence
Deluding our ignorance and bestowing empty eulogies
On partners we loathe despite pangs of conscience

That work harder to retain a semblance of humanity
In souls gone dead and mad with material wealth
Accumulated and concealed from established authority
In the mistaken belief that the theft we perpetuate in our stealth

Shan’t leave a trail auditors will pursue
In our bid to aggrandize an increasingly hollow ego
Gone insensitive and unreceptive to the moral malaise and torture that ensue
As the moral compass hitherto central to our lives we forgo

In preference for catalyzing the rat race that the vulnerable
Crush underfoot
To splurge with disgust as the horrible and the irascible
Thrive in the sight of the sycophants we recruit

As cheerleaders
With unabashed shame
In the midst of death traders and peddlers
On whom we’re not able to pin blame

Cos together we rot
In body and mind
Our consciences bought and caught
Up in webs of ego-tripping that render us morally blind and unkind.

Premium Member November

November is late autumn's prize,
arriving with its last goodbyes,
to usher in cool, crisper days-
perhaps with flakes, or icy glaze-
as trees will shed their golden shawls
to soon don fluffy, snow-white falls.

With time to stay indoors, surmise-
a cozy fire, a book- while eyes
enjoy the autumn's vibrant blaze-
redone from summer's verdant phase-
create a patchwork quilt that sprawls,
neath whirling winds from mini squalls.

Month-end brings time to aggrandize
Thanksgiving Day! We energize
in sharing feasts, with love and praise-
as kin and friends enjoy the craze.
When days run out, next month installs
more holidays- then, New Year calls.

Sophistication

...for Julie

They call themselves sophisticated
if they score that special hit,
if they drive a brand new 'Beemer, '
overwhelm us with their wit,

e-mails, cell phones, always selling,
always out to aggrandize,
little do they know that
I can see through their disguise.

Sophistication isn't artsy,
cravin' money, kissin' ass,
climbin' up the corporate ladder
no, I think I'll take a pass,

for there's another kind of clever,
playin' frisbee in the park,
fixin' dinner, doin' dishes,
stolen kisses in the dark.

The 'gentle' of a special woman,
tender moments to recall,
making love and making memories,
joy and laughter through it all.

So you can keep your slick devices,
lookin' sharp no matter what,
to me sophistication's simple,
I'm content with what I've got.

Premium Member So Blessed With Spoken Word

We're blessed with gifts of words that sing a song,
their melody through ears flows to the soul.
Through reading come the thoughts in silent ways;
but spoken words can make the meaning whole.

As soft and loud inflections rise and fall
the feeling fills the air with language art.
The imagery is stronger as words paint
descriptions that come deep from poet's heart.

The spoken word for poetry brings forth
those nuances that may be missed through eyes
when reading words placed on a screen or page;
the voice is more prepared to aggrandize

the feelings and emotions there, instilled
in written words that come from soul and heart.
The spoken word, our gift, has paved the way
for poetry to be a spoken art.

Now audio, a medium that we
just take for granted in our modern times,
will help to put one right inside the scene
when poet speaks the metaphors and rhymes.

Paper Democracy

Democracy for elites
Principles never enlight
Politicians aggrandize
Void of commitment
Dalit rights crucified
Every Day, Hour, Minute
Burnt, tortured, raped
Blood tears wept
Humanity if any ever left
Upper caste domination swept
Nation deliberately slept
How can Millions Rejoice?
As largest democratic voice
Shame, to them
Who makes false claim
But never aim
All humans born same
Who can we blame?
Judas, within us
At rank and file
Shouts & writes,
About Ambedkarite’s
To win Dalit might
And rest in Vanity Fair
Alas, they too will flare
None would care
Upper caste won’t spare
They would dare
Every breathe Dalit share
This isn’t any nightmare
Reality check bare
Democracy nowhere

Tireless Universe
                    by Odin Roark

Time defies denial,
Knowing well its empirical presence
Will never be of absence.

Dense as its surrounding matter,
Its aged archives remain
Forever fortressed beneath passage and growth,
Like termite mounds of tunneled journeys,
A labyrinth of cosmic dust
Forever of remnant coatings
Upon endless bell tolling posterity.

Here within the maze of stellar nurseries,
Time’s infinite presence passes through our microcosm
As we attempt to aggrandize selfhood
Beyond its limitations.

Like the beam of a miner’s lamp,
Our import seeks to impact the void,
While this depth of immense profundity
Reveals our illuminative essence
As more akin to a spark of flint
Confronting the revelation of existence.

Perhaps…

Somewhere beyond our consciousness,
Smiles mix with duration’s yawn,
Humoring the metaphysical malady of rest deprivation.

After all,
Like time,
Existence has never slumbered.

Such a tireless universe this.

Walking with your eyes closed

Kids roam in the streets
as schools cry for more seats,
Many sleep in hunger
while food in the bin creeps.

Can you lend a helping hand,
rather than walk with eyes closed ?

Youth smitten by money
losing morals to iniquities,
Drenched in luxuries
a living masquerade.

Can you catechize ethics
Or still walk with eyes closed ?

Abusing nature for greed
exploiting feeble and fleece,
Plundering water and soil
looting air and oil.

Can you fix up this and end
Or blindness would you pretend ?

Proving valour in bouts of spar,
To quench this thirst in name of war,
Sitting on throne conquered in ashes,
crowned in Bloodshed.

Would you aggrandize and greet?
Treasure time, will else fleet,
And stop walking with your eyes closed.

He's Imperfect, But That's Perfect

Our Love Wasn't A Mistake
It Wasn't Adventitious
Our Love Was Meant To Be
Though It Does Seem Fictitious

I Love You For Many Reasons
One's That You're Sincere
You Have No Affectations
That's Why I'm Still Here

I Was Agaped When I First Met You
Thought This Was Another Game
That Mii Love Was Going Crazy
And Soon To Be Called Insane

However, As Days Went By
I Began To Think And Realize
That It was Your Mind; Not Your *****
Which Began To Aggrandize

You Have Altruism And Charisma
I Am Cantankerous And Vile
I Didn't Know How Long We Would Last
But I Was Hoping For Awhile

You Are The Antithesis Of Me
And I Was That Of You
I Became So Beseiged By Your Love
Lost In Love...What Could I Do?

Even Though We Weren't The Same
We Weren't Quite Exact
The Chemistry Rule Must've Applied To Us
Our Opposite Love Attracts

To Make This Short And Sweet
Our Love Will Always Last
Because Your Heart Speaks Your Words
Without Any Of The Bombast

Can'T Believe It

Just today, I was scrolling down the infamous feed
Stopping for a couple of laughs, evading the ignorance,
soaking up some knowledge; not knowing my heart
would soon begin to bleed

And like that, you appeared with that smile that I know, oh
so well
It was the same yet different as if you had a certain
the story you wanted to tell

I continued to look but an unsettling feeling inside
began to aggrandize
So, I read the comments and oddly, they're
all in the past tense; disheveled, now tears filled my
confused eyes

We tried and we had one helluva start too, but we
just couldn't make it last forever
My hopes were always for your happiness and peace
as you sought life's treasures

Can't believe it! Here and then gone like that, got
me thinking
Others say it and we hear it, and we surely feel it
when 'the Reaper' comes knocking

Can't believe it! Sitting here, scratching my head
and rubbing my eyes, just asking, How? Why?
But who am I to question this process in this
existence? Just who am I to ask why?

Can't believe it! You've gone away from this life...
But I'm sure now you're singing sweet praises of JOY with
no more strife

Greetings To the Lodestar

GREETINGS TO THE LODESTAR

Vain of metal ore that smiled
It is by you am steered
    Guiding my principle in direction
    You shine like magnetized
    Iron ore
    I lithe toward you as
    You called

    We lissome to our destination
    With your eye in dimension
I shall not be sorry when it’s over
    Cos it ways is determination
Thou Icy wing “lay us pass”
    To see they treasure

     Remove thy odds from our
     Partition
My sinus seep to sea, cos of
     Sinking to shore
     Sire your strength steered
      My fate to shore
      Wh’n I hold your face, I am
force
      Cos, hope, fate, destiny is
steered
      By measure

      My accelerando is powered
      By force
      Thou the tides are high
      The treasure must be found
When you bid me, I will
aggrandize
      Cos life journey is unstandadize

 REASON OF WRITING
This poem is written in the night in
my little room when watching The
stars, Lodestar is a bigger, it shines
very well and in those. Days when
voyage in the see was not of to day
every body looked of for lodestar
that gives direction to sailors. It is a
poem about our cause of journey in
life some of the time when we
succeed we give our thanks to our
guidance angel or lucky star it is this
star, angel an greeting begging to
guide our life affair in this world.
Life problem are so many that we
some time need this angel and lucky
star. So it is easier when traveling
with a guide, this makes it (life) not
so difficult.

Explicit Perfect Example To Follow

Explicit Perfect Example to Follow

How much time should I take to devote
To poets and glad I have then to quote
Amy my poems theirs start to buffer
Though at times things get tougher.

What if I were to agitate and aggrandize
And even at times personally plagiarize
But another thing I forgot to mention
Never ever was it my original intention.

While you take this for what it is worth
God who is sovereign over our earth
There are times my head seems hollow
God is always perfect example to follow.

The Dance

Eclectic and faint a lonely sunrise
As a backdrop horizon surmises a smile,
Arrayed in kaleidoscoped clouds softly hued.

A glorious triad fulfilled quest, flares
Its entourage of dichotomy suspended
To earth’s finite...blinded in love and mission.

Dance of the autumn leaves, bow to
Rhapsody fusioned in summer breezes.
The cosmos two-step in planetary
Greatness…

Waltz to His sovereign flow of life
Impaled to redeeming satisfaction.
Aggrandize your destiny Earth.
Rhythmize a heart beat. Dance.

Premium Member Punctuated Equilibrium

I’m a primitive thinker and not very smart,
But what wisdom you find here comes straight from the heart.
Let me not self-aggrandize, I’m one of life’s fools,
And my pathway is marked by the bodies of rules.

I’m a chief among sinners: your low – I’ve been there,
And for much of my life lived unbothered with care.
My attention was focused on personal gain,
When I wasn’t wrapped up in a battle with pain,

With no deep expectations of help from above
Reconciled to my living a life without love.
But then one day enlightenment came I confess
And convinced me to give up on solving my mess.

What a gift when I let God’s Grace deal with my sin
For it opened my heart to let others come in.

Marriage

As you put vermilion,
May entire divinity raise a toast.
As you put your right foot in,
May God shower all the blessings.
As you extend your right hand,
May the honour aggrandize and together you ascend.
As you lift up your eyes,
May your dignity always stand by your side.
As you express and interface,
May the wisdom and intellect amplify your grace.
As you align and entwine,
May your humble presence become a sturdy spine.
As you present a hearty smile,
May your sensibility bring laud and beguile.
As you create, nurture and tread,
May your indomitable will hone an eminent spearhead.
