Mind Afflicted
Oh my ignoble mind
why must you be so
rueful-this sorrowful pity
abject-I am not contemptible
brooding-unkind contemplations.

Oh my heinous conscience
dare not
mock me-oh the cruelty
taunt me-cuts so deep
bleed me-I flow dying.

Oh my callous intellect
why must you yet
scorn me-is praise so ugly
castigate me-the pain beguiling
disparage me-oh your brutality!

Oh my derisive...

Premium Member An Indirect Self Afflicted Tribulation: a Situation Never To Be
My lateness once more has caused me immediate damnation,
and my unstable state, a product of my lost attention.
Overcoming the limitation by doing three person's work at once
resulted to a failed manipulation
of compressing minutes' activities into seconds
just to beat time and achieve punctuality.

Reaching for the door...

Afflicted
a random act of violence
testifying to my fear
a despairing silence
screaming in my ear
        evidence of frailty
        with malicious intent
        given by vile destiny

Premium Member Afflicted Vision
With jaundiced eye* affected by my heart
I do pray for enlightened vision glow
radiating truth of Scriptures’ rampart
toward perspective against falsehood blow.

Confessing personal biases’ blight
with jaundiced eye affected by my heart
I seek God’s pardon from arrogance-delight
gripped by hypocrisy and conceit’s dart.

Aware of preference right from the...

Prayer of the Afflicted
Prayer of the afflicted

Dear Lord,
God and Father
of all tender mercies,

Please allow me
to beseech you
in my time of affliction,

I know Dear Father,

that you care for
even the sparrows,
how much more so
you care for
your faithful servants...
especially
in our time of need

I know not...

Afflicted
I can not imagine
To live without a
heart
Like a car that
fails to start
And my head
Becomes a boiling
kettle
Dancing with steam
Like fairies from a
scene
Of the Midsummer
Night Dream
And my mind becomes
uncertain
Like I am blown by a
whirl wind
I can feel
afflictions
Because my world
devoid of love
I can feel
afflictions
Because I feel
forsaken from above
Hopeless
Wandering...

The Baggage of An Afflicted Childhood
The SEVERITY of remembering her childhood brings so much sadness
into her delicate heart.
The clarity I wish to give her …. -oh, if only I could…
             -but where...

Afflicted
In my time of troubles I cry out to the heavens
My eyes are heavy with tears
My soul is afflicted with sorrows
I have strayed from the path of righteousness
And taken seat with the ungodly and rebellious
Your words were sweeter than honey on my lips
But my tongue...

Afflicted
With pure intention.
I longed to prove more than what became ideal.
Insecurity can come from a variety of sorts.
Communication through action, not only words.
The value of times essence.
Counting the moments it takes to come to the realization,
I too was afflicted.
To appreciate a woman such as her.
Not...

Do You Know Someone Bruised and Afflicted
Have You Met Someone Bruised And Afflicted?

Have you met someone who’s
 been battered and abused?
Their body all torn up, beaten and bruised?

Have you met someone involved in a deep addiction?
Causing harm to themselves and many afflictions?

Have you met someone who
 seems to be “all right?”
But...

Premium Member A Prayer of the Afflicted
Hear my prayer dear lord
For life's too expensive
That i can't afford
I created prosperity
But i did not have any
I showed them love
But they hated me cruelly
I loved freedom
But i was not free
I had eyes
But i couldn't...

Premium Member Afflicted On Every Side
Such feelings of afflictions inside
so tense tired inside in a knot
all over in every bone so stiff
it just seems it falls at first shot

Words were just so difficult to make
the throat seemed so hoarse and tight
one learns to get by with few words
even although I...

Afflicted
The simple desire to cause yet another pain
As on everyone else' parade you try to rain
Always looking down at the tip of your nose
For you just don't like people and it really, really shows

With so much anger in your heart and evil filling up your...

Like nations many, at Central South Asian seam,
With its roots in the Paleolithic time stream;
Home of cultures, habitats, and martial movements,
Lounge of Arab, Muslim, British, Greek amusements...

Empires many, like spiders, yearned to spin in; Failed!
On this graveyard of states, like cruise of pride, it sailed;

Afflicted
He was afflicted - flawed thoughts in his mind
He grew up a knowing – he wasn’t all right
Desires so destructive - sits hard on his soul
He prayed for a day - when his heart would feel whole

The burning - the fire - destructive its ways
