The Baggage of An Afflicted Childhood

The SEVERITY of remembering her childhood brings so much sadness into her delicate heart. The clarity I wish to give her …. -oh, if only I could… -but where would I even start? Those dark brown eyes turn shades of blue I’d never before seen, while she tries to do her daily routine. The cries do f a d e eventually, but her soul always s c a r r e d. Is this baggage? Would I call it trouble I brought upon myself when we first met? Probably ..... but in a good way- Because learning how to treat her gently, I shall never forget- Her touch, full of r e g r e t and I continue speaking without thinking… Oh, I have so much to say- but her essence that f l o w s …-keeps sinking. The belongings she does tow - like a heavy trunk of cargo… -oh, the SEVERITY of afflicted childhood sorrow. Gems For Your Baggage January 30, 2017
