“ So It Shall Be ”
Aye... then so it shall be...
as faire lass doth so request now o'me.
A'holler so 'twas that o'which she'd asked...
In a where and a how thus thrice deftly masked.
'Tis no need ye'd wont worry...
if'n or not I'd been a bit poorly...
Fer time a'me ownsake moves with a'pace...
only in wait... another well drawn ace.
'Tis this if naught other, that which has been found...
as time for us all doth spin 'round.
A'back to there from whence it began...
'tis all can we encompass in one o'life's span.
Once a'stroll back through time's encapsulated stills...
test, trial or mayhap notion o'will...
as if watched from a'far mine own time's skill.
As oft as not... yet surely at best...
'tis all but to do a'such fondness in jest.
'Twas life that go-round oh so thought merry...
'twas we were those guided by myth sung her fairy.
Yet so 'tis then true as last o'words do be spoken...
'twas all but naught other than token.
For must well be he paid that oarsman o'dread...
When 'tis time for me dreams to be gone o'me head.

It was out in Venezuela when I ran into this sailor
He was sitting at the bar, right next to me
He was rugged he was mean and he wasn’t very clean
But I listened when he spoke about the sea
There were stories there were tales, of the hunt for killer whales
When his leg was bitten off below the knee
How en route to Senegal they were shipwrecked in squall
He survived for sixteen weeks, tied to a tree
Came the time in Kathmandu, him the captain and the crew
Were becalmed for seven days, and in a stew
So they hauled him up the mast, where they tied him good and fast
Then they fed him with baked beans, until he blew
After that there came the beast and the native king and priest
It was really getting far too much to bear
As the yarns grew more far fetched, with my patience sorely stretched
I decided that I really didn’t care
So I bought him one more rum and I said, “the time has come”
That I needed to go out, to use the loo
So he said “young man be fast, for you haven’t heard the last,
Like, when I first met your mother, in Peru
The real love
some friends do last forever,
dont matter time or place,
they never ever leave ya,
eternally with you,
in your time n space,

Now I will tell you a story.
Some of it might even be true.
But that is for you to decide.
Once I took a trip around the world.
In a hot air balloon.
For sure I went past the point of no return.
As I left my footprints in the sand.
And swung on ropes tied to the moon.
Swam with the dolphins in the deepest of seas.
I became fast friends with a few mermaids.
They were the sirens of the seven seas.
You might not believe the things I did see.
But I assure you, all this is true.
I watched a volcano erupt right before my eyes.
I rode a bucking bronco all the way until the end.
Went back to school and found myself a degree.
A social science degree. I really really did find it.
I found it on the floor right in front of me
For if there is anything true about me,
I love to be on the social scene.

I’m hitting the breeze, painting the town red
fine leather and stockings dressed
with rockin’ gal friends in tow
The car scoots on Friday night’s bar near west
dance steps, cocktails whirl jazz lights…
while you’re TV couching

*Hey, got the car keys… I’m meeting up with the crew
this Friday night… your burger pack is in the ref.
Text Talk Contest of David Williams
There is a beautiful world
Couped up in my head.
I'd love to share it with you,
but I keep it bottled up instead.
There are so many things
I'd like to do and to say,
but like every other time
I say "some other day."
I need to live in the moment,
live in the here and now.
The only problem I foresee,
is that I simply don't know how.
I can never pull that trigger,
I never do what's good for me.
I always play it safe and say,
"I better just let it be."
I believe my time will come.
I will get the chance to go.
Away from here away from you,
my long time enemy and foe.
I can't let you hold me back,
it is time to set myself free.
You think you have the power,
you're wrong just wait and see.
For so long I have battled
Between what is good and bad.
You've always made me think
the only emotion I feel is sad.
Well tonight things are different,
I'm ready to set myself free.
My demons can have a seat
I am ready to show the world me.
I like the way time stands still
When I don't turn the calendar
Just after a warm rain in Spring
February 2011...never left; didn't
Want to-
March 2012...Lent begins; my
Favorite time of year-
Every leaf must be unturned
Faces might appear
Mayhem awaits every discovery
One goal looms...
My calendars must be turned
Before May
Before mushrooms spoil
Before
Mushrooms
Spoil

Soap bubbles float through mid-school breeze
that crack our giggles, to the playful night,
we dab the sheen film on oak trees
or glue bobbed orbs on crushes’ kites
And vapor-like, our summers warmly wrap
the peek-a-boos squeaking tag games
on moonlit field where foams eavesdrop;
inviting tricks without a shame
Long days collect more popping sprees
as sticky piles knot in our hair
like wiggles on tanned sun, how free
to mess around till burnt cheeks tear
The madness of young summer brings
under red stars, I feel her bubbles sing.
Contest: SKat-Oz's Summer Poems
His eyes were like eagle's, telescopic and sharp
reflexes came easy, time seemed to warp
a warrior in battle, his bullets caused pain
life left them swiftly those that were slain
war was his master he felt no guilt
he laughed with his buddies, all the "beer" they had spilt
but now peace was his master, the nightmares began
the war had been over, so why doesn't it end?
the mind is a mystery, it stored all the horrors
now he's strung out on dope bewailing the sorrows
he suffered no injury during the war
but drugs were more deadly, deadly by far
its hard to believe, just a short time ago
this warrior in battle, a hero you know
then I heard "taps," playing softly, a final salute
a warrior a soldier just died in his youth
Moonlit ride, darling Jasmine at his side
Strode the carpet ride, the night was young
Devil was in the details though, as they glide
Across the desert, time sadly crept and clung
To their faces, bodies, as they were older now
Genie no longer in the bottle but having fun
Freedom tasted sweet i'm sure, but frowning
Was Jafar in his castle from afar, fighting none.
The Sultan too was sad to see, ever older
The sands of time ravaging them all cold
Twisted rhymes turned the glass over again
Terrible dreams Aladdin thought to himself then
It must be true, about how they were not to mix
Recalling this in his bag of tricks, he deftly pulled
It from his pocket, a trinket frozen in time and six
Magical rubies, put in the hourglass and not to be ruled
By tyranny of chronos any longer, they would be young
Again, but wisdom would be completely lost as well
So well, back in the pocket and back to the ride he flung
Jasmines arm over his shoulder and all was again swell

How will eyes take these sights of our page into your head...brimming us into shape,
Shapening us into a Perfect and Humble salient form,

Karma waits,
tween covered doors,
ironic, slaps me to the floor,
my this time curse,
the subtle score,
though innocent,
i insist,
black arrows, never missed,
i am guilty ...yes 4 sure,
aint just my kind of bliss,
too ironic i implore,
desist!

my name is on the list,
abhorred,

Nootka Sound where we’ll be found taking in some great scenery
From snow capped mountain peaks to white cap ocean waves and
fantastic greenery
Out on the ocean, it can get really rough, eagles soar and sea lions roar,
If you get close enough
You’ll have no cares, with the smell of the salt and the wind in your hair
You may find a bay where you can get oysters and clams, and if you’re lucky, rock
crab as well
So when you come back, you’ll have some great snacks smothered in garlic
butter, only your thighs will tell
Oysters on the barbe, are the best, just add lemon, soya and mustard at the very
least, you will have a feast
Whale watching is easy when you’re in Galiano Bay,
Orca’s come in with their calves and stay all day
Yes, it’s great to be found out in Nootka Sound, where life just drifts by on a
blistery day and you don’t have a care in the world
Gale force winds make you rock and waves keep you rolling
Just like being out on a fishing boat; trolling
Prawns are tough to find, ‘cause there’s never enough to go round
Too many people have found what we’re seeking
With so many traps and their pleasure crafts, they’re taking it over
They think they’re rolling in clover
Taking the boat and with your mate, you might get to do some cod jigging
But the cod doesn’t bite, the time isn’t right, so go back and take off you’re rigging
Soon it’s time to head home, the fun is all done, and it’s a long drive to Gold River
But we’ll come back again to play some other day, where we can start all over

I had to wait in a line for a urinal one day.
This was during a home game in May.
In front of me was an example of a pipsqueak.
This little guy looked very worthless and weak.
What he did would seem very peculiar.
He voided enough urine to fill Lake Superior.
Standing behind this runt was no fun.
I wondered when this guy’s urinating would be done.
I keep being asked why I'm returning
It's the love and memory's I've felt
The culture I feel I belong
Southern hospitality that reaches the heart
I've had many friends
and memories I'll never forget
It's time to make new ones
on this return
The hope I have
as little as it is
The joy I once felt
to experience again
It's my chance to start over
all the people are the same
I'm sure of that
I'm not worried at all
I think what I fear most
is going and never wanting to leave
I don't want to feel torn between worlds
as I once was
I would live every day to be somewhere else
Now I have different goals
I don't want to tear them down
but join the two
This is the chance to see
where I can start my future
Start my family
and everything falling right into place
It's time for me to pack my bags
Fly to my destination
Put a smile on my face
Breathe, and embrace the experience
