Fun On the Ocean

Nootka Sound where we’ll be found taking in some great scenery

From snow capped mountain peaks to white cap ocean waves and

fantastic greenery

Out on the ocean, it can get really rough, eagles soar and sea lions roar,

If you get close enough

You’ll have no cares, with the smell of the salt and the wind in your hair

You may find a bay where you can get oysters and clams, and if you’re lucky, rock
crab as well

So when you come back, you’ll have some great snacks smothered in garlic
butter, only your thighs will tell

Oysters on the barbe, are the best, just add lemon, soya and mustard at the very
least, you will have a feast

Whale watching is easy when you’re in Galiano Bay,

Orca’s come in with their calves and stay all day

Yes, it’s great to be found out in Nootka Sound, where life just drifts by on a
blistery day and you don’t have a care in the world

Gale force winds make you rock and waves keep you rolling

Just like being out on a fishing boat; trolling

Prawns are tough to find, ‘cause there’s never enough to go round

Too many people have found what we’re seeking

With so many traps and their pleasure crafts, they’re taking it over

They think they’re rolling in clover

Taking the boat and with your mate, you might get to do some cod jigging

But the cod doesn’t bite, the time isn’t right, so go back and take off you’re rigging

Soon it’s time to head home, the fun is all done, and it’s a long drive to Gold River

But we’ll come back again to play some other day, where we can start all over
