In this day of corporate illusion
One only the historic can counter,
Soon one day the culture of delusion
Will reign as all those whom encounter,
When all passed away in resolution
The problem written into the annals,
While those that are left fed on pollution
The results of educated finals.
One's cultural genocide of blindness
Simplicity with common sense destroyed,
Yet the poet’s truth through untangled kindness
Will live on in the heart of those deployed.
Never in the history of mankind
An era delivered been so refined.

Teenage Love 15: Teenage Lovebirds of the 1980s

Young love had finally made its way back into the 1980s and all of those teenage lovebirds
back in the 80s were so "totally gnarly." The 80s was when MTV made its TV channel debut,
the first cell phone was invented, and when a lot of people were born in that decade, that
had included Julia Stiles (born in 1981), Michael Cera (born in 1988), and even me (also
born in 1988). Also, the 80s were the times when hip-hop music and the break-dancing scene
were born, especially when the TV show, “Yo! MTV Raps” was on TV. It seems that young love
among the then-teen lovebirds ( teen boys and teen girls) had been in their lives since
the day they met at summer camp, middle school or high school. And when a teen boy and a
teen girl fell in love with each other the day they met, they knew it was love at first
sight. There were a lot of awesome things those teenage lovebirds have done back in the
1980s: they went to the movies, had gone out to eat, they had gone to the school dances
(including prom back in 1984), and stuff. Their outfits back in the 80s were “totally
tubular,” especially when all teen boys and teen girls were wearing their Converse shoes
and their Nike Air Sneakers. The 1980s were the best of times for all of the then-teenage
lovebirds and their parents. These people were young and in love, especially when they
were the ages between 13 and 17. And what their favorite love songs of the 1980s were
“Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, “Material Girl” by Madonna, “Never Gonna Give You Up”
by Rick Astley, and other love songs that were heard back in the 1980s, especially the
year 1987. This type of young love has brought the best in all of the young couples. In
reference to young love among all of the then-teen couples, it’s like living in this “when
doves cry” moment. All young relationships are just like the ones these people have seen
in all movies from the 1980s, like “Dirty Dancing,” “Pretty In Pink,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,”
and “The Breakfast Club.” And if young love were to revisit the 1980s and bring it back
to the future, young love will be indestructible forever.

Remembering the 1980s

Regarding fashion,Punk set out to gauge
The style of hair and clothes which would outrage.
John Lennon's voice was silenced at this time;
Mark Chapman was convicted for the crime.

A technical development unfurled
Which launched the first PC into the world.
And Cable television could diffuse
A twenty-four hour coverage of news.

Professor Rubik came from Budapest
And introduced a spatial IQ test.
To scramble combinations was the aim;
A 3D coloured cube preserved his name.

So many budding actors came and went,
But only one became a President.
And Reagan gave the greatest speech of all
When he said ’Gorbachev – tear down this wall!’

And thus it was in nineteen eighty-nine
That East and West Berlin would intertwine.
And in that year I too knew boundless joy;
The blessing of my first born baby boy.

Teenage Love 2: Teenage Lovers of the 1980s, 1990s, and the 21st Century

All of the then-teenage lovebirds have been in love with each other since the day disco
died, even back in 1980. This type of love has been around the teenagers-turned-adults
since the day the cell phone was invented, MTV first went on cable TV, the Berlin Wall was
destroyed, the summer Olympics were in Los Angeles, California, Barcelona, Spain, Atlanta,
Georgia, Sydney, Australia, Athens Greece, Beijing, China, and the 1980-2008 Presidential
elections. It seems to everyone that when the adults (a man and a woman) who were
teenagers (a teen boy and a teen girl) fell in love with each other since the day they
met at summer camp, it was love at first sight for them. And the parents back in the
1980s, the 90s, and the 21st century found out that their then-teenage offspring fell in
love with each other, their moms and dads either accepted it or rejected it. But either
way, these two lovebirds back in the day would've wanted to stay together for a long time.
Everybody remembers that back in the 1980s, the 90s, and the 21st century, these young
lovebirds have gone to the movies, gone to concerts, out to eat, and that kinda stuff. It
looks like Cupid has made some direct hits back in the 1980s to the 21st century. It also
looks like love has taken over the lives of all of the then-teens. And who knows? There's
going to be a next generation of young couples. And if this type of young love keeps up
bringing both would-be young lovebirds (a teen boy and a teen girl) together with the help
of fate, there's no telling what positive thing might happen next.

When I look back in time, I recall the 1980’s;
I fell into the Rubik’s Cube and still have not escaped.

Not even upon hearing of, John Lennon’s killing, could I escape the thing, in fact, it kept me from diving into a mournful funk.

I celebrated “ET’s” visit by treating myself; I bought the video, along with Michael Jackson’s, “Thriller” and was ecstatically, thrilled by both, many times.
Then, I went to the, World’s Fair, for the first time.

I celebrated the new holiday, Martin Luther King Jr’s. day along with everyone else and the discovery of the wrecked, Titanic; a tragic example of the human ego’s pompousness.

Disco faded away, like melting snow and Rap, rapped its’ way into the Music Scene. Blondie and Devo were giving fans a thrill, as we donned our G.Q. clothes to go dancing.

Inquisitive

Inquisitive
On this at at this time I feel what is missing
It rarely shows itself but does now
Why I don’t know?
The very rare feeling missing is this

That I have no family of my own

No blood lines to continue my lineage
My parents are dead and I’ve no siblings
Nor do I have and children of my own

Not in that very specific regard

This last stings and causes me
The melody that visited me now
And in the hours as I lay dozing

Wondering how it would be

If my life was normal in that ways
With a nice gal the same as me
Who saw the world thru similar eyes
Gave me 6 kids who are my own kind
Or even different that’s fine

As half of my blood is in their veins

But none of that ever happened
Nor ever will not in this life
Except in my dreams since the 1980s
I never did get it right with gals
Or family matters so it’s a What if?

Just like my mythical Royal Air Force career

If I could turn the clock back I would
But that’s not possible except in dreams
It’s fine for I accept my life actions and myself
I exist in the Kingdom of Nick and I did good
In all areas in life except the missing one

I shed no tears for my alternate history

Saturday morning
It's a beautiful day
Walking towards
my favorite hangout
A local arcade
Tons of video games to choose
I find what I like
A action-shoot
I add somes coins in
And off I go
Shooting aliens left and right
Gaining high score
I haven't lost a life yet
My score goes higher
I have a audience
They're all impress
I've reach the final boss
Time to get serious
I'm sweating, I'm focus
I lost a few lives
Only one life left
It's now or never
Boom! I did!
I've beating the game!
Everyone cheers.
