Premium Member 10,000 Steps and a German Sheperd
On a cool winter morn just before 8 AM, I decided to take my walk on an 'L-shaped street' that's about 3 blocks long with three cul-de-sacs connected to it. Coming out of my final cul-de-sac and nearing completion, I moved steadily along with...

10,000 Years
For 10,000 years I've pondered the meaning of life or so it seems.
Muttering to myself and listening to other human beings.
It wasn't found within any ancient book, painting or written on a cave wall.
Certainly not in the words of the religious fanatics attacking my...

Jesus Could Have Called 10,000 Angels
Jesus Could Have Called 10,000 Angels…

On a cross… Jesus suffered for you and me.
He could have called 10,000
angels to set him free.

Nailed to this cross, he went
 through so much pain.
He knew his purpose and the
reason why he came.

Being there for all of...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

10,000 Poets
can 10,000 poets, stand on the head of a pin
reading rune, reciting rhyme, a deafening din

orating from books, digital tablets and papers
nursing versing, some adroit linguistic capers

did God really, when he pulled out Adam's rib
contemplate the ramifications of what he did?

giving to man and...

10,000 Light Years Away
10,000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY

I was not born on earth but on planet that is 10,000
	light years away from here.
I was sent here to watch and observe, to evaluate
how far you have progressed mankind.
It has a long hard journey and watching the hurt,
	pain and contempt that...

How was you feeling what was  going through in your mind
Stepping onto that porch seeing those stars did you think what a beautiful night
I don't pretend to know what you felt that time
To scared to walk away yea I know life ls hard sometimes

Falling From the Plane At 10,000 Ft.
It's another universe out there:
a snow-scape of valleys and hills
with a marshmallow floor you could
almost jog on, as solid-seeming as
the world we've just left. Drifting,
drifting, like a snowflake, slow-motion
in a space where there is no time,
no missing element in the...

Premium Member POEM NO 10,000 a retrospective
My First poem posted here May 2007 was  an enigmatic Lanterne

Viduage

Tall
nettles-
the dutch hoe
rusting in the
shed.

My First ekphrasis (poem no 2 here ) BELLA

Bella

He
opened
the window-
in streamed his first
love
with
flowers,
dressed
in white-
she haunted his
art.

An Ekphrasis in lanterne  sequence on Marc Chagall

MY FIRST POEM I EVER WROTE poem no 3 here. a favoured form  AN ALLITERATION

Connections
Confront,clash,collide
COMBAT !
Cold shoulder,chill,cool
CUT-OFF !
Cry,crave,collect
CALL-ON !
Constant,compassion,consider
CHARITY !
Confer,commune,converse
COMMUNICATE !

CONCORD !
COVENANT ! CHRIST ! CHURCH !

MY FIRST IMAGIST POEM -REFLECTIONS

Reflections

Deep into the pool
A blue moon,ephemeral,
Below white-coated peaks,
Bleak and surreal,
The transient image too soon
Dissolves,and ripples into space,
As water though my grasp.

MY FIRST CINQUAIN (after Adelaide Crapsey)

Long days
Of August sun
Where nature blinks and shrinks
The dying grass,yellowed in sleep-
Held fast

MY FIRST HIKU

On the wind,a bell
Muffled from across the square
Raindrops fill the air
why hiku ?

HAIKU means the ' phonetical&cultural original 'in Japanese'

whereas HIKU

is the English language version(including translations)with similar economy of words without "telling all" thereby to ' show ' (conforming to the key to true imagist poetry),&to avoid 'as'&'to' & the use of past...

10,000 Vacant Dwellings
10,000 vacant dwellings
In Manhattan are for rent
Which even a vaccine would prove
Too late to quite prevent.

For people left in droves, their reasons
Obvious and sad –
No jobs or money to sustain
The lifestyle that they had.

The city, minus all the buzz,
Is lacking in appeal
So all those...

10,000 Days
We all want more but who thinks it all through?
How many plans of greatness were mapped out then withdrew?

For all want the spoils, but none the toil.
Lacking patience and respect to tend to the soil.

Can legacy be achieved with a swing of the...
