The birds flutter along the stone path to the colorful garden
they are searching for food to feed their hungry babies
the sunflowers sway near the bench smiling at the new babies lives
Across the bench is a huge pond one bird swims there now
In the sky the ducks and geese come to cool off from the hot sun
They fly their wings and splash in the cool water
They glide in peace across cloud filled refection
Content to fly to their destination

Premium MemberPoem of the Home Gnome

Darlene De Beaulieu graciously consented for her poem "Gnomes" to be used by me in this contest. Thank you Darlene!

There’s no gnome
like the gnome at home.
I have a gnome at home alone.
Chantilly, Chris, or Charlie -
they’re friends for you and me.

Your tumbler sweet
sure is neat to greet
you no matter where is the street,
but remember no gnome is known
like the gnome that waits at home.

Gnomes – Darlene de Beaulieu

I love the gnomes
I m drawn to them
One time I had twelve
I  named all of them
I named him Chris
He holds a gift for me
Another one I named
Charlie
I have a tumbler
With gnomes and hearts
shapes
When waiting in a line
It called out to me
So I bought it
I take my tumbler
everywhere I go

Premium MemberGod's Reign On Us-

When the Lord God allows His reign falls;
On the kingdom of humanity comes;
As the Angels marching on;
Descending from the clouds;
Climbing down out of heaven falls;
 God's reign over Humanity;

Come to Jesus, all Come to Jesus

God shalt  cleanse  us;
We should just be still and trust His touch;
Shine so His light on us;
Cleaning us up with His water;

Come to Jesus, God reign on us

Holy water from the clouds;
 Burst when the rain falls;
All night long it's so smoothing and calm,
Thanks be to God, Selah;
Brings us closer to a deep slumber;
Makes us clean and close to God;
Hallelujah

Come to Jesus God please reign on us

God shall cleanse  us;
We should just be still await His touch;
For His neverending love for us;
All we need to do is just trust;

Lord my God I allow you to reign  over me;
Shine down your light reflecting your victory;
Come to Jesus, God reign on us
Hallelujah again I say hallelujah as we pray

Premium MemberBlessings To You-

When you are in troubling times;
And things are tumbling down;
There are many caring people around;

Blessings,
Blessings, My friend

If you still think here people yet food;
Then you really, really don't know;

Blessings,
Blessings, My friend

People say bless you
Blessings to you
My friend be bless, we pray that you get out of this mess, Blessings;

Blessings to you;
Blessings be true;
Blessings to you;
Stay  ever true

Believe it shall be true, blessings to you
 So when you're tried and trued;
 When you're sadden and blue
 Feeling lost a bit miss used
All is not lost, the Lord got your back;
Just relax, God got your back
Just believe, that you will receive prayers from others;
We believe in you
It's gonna be, gonna be OK
Somewhere always someone somewhere always,always praying for you

Be at peace, let release
Prayers be  yours true
Blessings to you

Premium MemberThey Stood Aloof

The new poet craved a just tad of attention,
         Not realizing others were at a poet laureates'convention.
         Or, let's say, that was simply their disdain and heartless ideation!

         I took her sincere hand, and told her that her poem was truly grand.
         Her eyes lit up, as though hearing a big band!
         I felt so good giving another a smiling hand.

         I do know what it's like to be new.
         And those first, warm supportive comments come into you.
         Hope, optimism then rise and gleam brightly, how true!

         " Do unto others, as you  would have them do unto you."

Premium MemberWhat's In a Name

Oh where,oh where is she
My wondrous Darlene De Beaulieu ?
In my heart do I see her face
Radiant with poetic grace
A handsome place is her fortune
And poetry both her sun and moon
With kindest comments she does encourage
Those whose lesser works others might disparage
This feeble eulogy to her do I dedicate
And may she e'er find herself in good estate.

Premium MemberO Blessed Stranger

A inspired dedicated verse to Darlene De Beaulieu

O blessed stranger;
How are you
You don’t know me
But I am praying, praying for you

Please be patient
In your circumstances
Please be encouraged
Jesus is the right path

Lovely you are;
To a prayer receiving God;
Promises He’ll keep always;

So deep with a strong meaning;
And powerful prayer you have completed;
Prayer so deep with a strong meaning and powerful
Go on pray on, pray strong…
All hopes and joys are in His Hands this is His world

And Loved you are;
To a prayer receiving God;
Promises He’ll keep always;
So lay down your frustration and anger
O blessed stranger;
Have a nice day my friend Bless you

They all are 'Souper' ladies you know
Though some may come and some may go
But on this you can rely
None of them is really shy
They say just what they want you to know

Their poems may be directed to a man
And I along with hundreds are their biggest fan
Some write stuff that's bawdy
But none of them are haughty
Some singles may say catch me if you can

They seldom seem to lose their muse
Write on any topic they choose
They all are so sweet
And you'll never meet
A group good enough to walk in their shoes

My Tranquil Drug

When I think about the woods I’m
Humbled by the architecture of the naked trees
Solid, tranquil, every reaching as I climb
Higher towards the southerly breeze

In Beaulieu, when it rains mother can be seen
Dashing out between the showers to pull the weeds
She misses many stuck in between
Which the wind carries and the plant reseeds

At the river mouth the water turns
And the swans take off graciously over the tide pool
The ducklings settle back into the ferns
Settle down hazy mist and make the evening cool

Strong floral scents carried far on a zephyr
Echoing sound of match point from the court
Baby calves playfully jump and softly nose the heifer
Hear their mooing chatter as they lightly cavort

The donkey foals have such big heads
Post-like legs with sturdy feet
They need big pillows for their beds
They look so cuddly and oh so sweet

Hey where’s the water gone?
Someone’s pulled the plug
When will I see the return of the swan?
To my home, my tranquil drug

Musical trees make a great gift
Dolls clothes and bikes are a hit

Model A's

Model  A’s   ( Poem )

Vintage cars that are so old
Classic beauties with stories told

Some with Rumble seats in tow
Owners of these want to show

Antiques from late 20's and 30's
Shined right up and never dirty

Came in only four standard colors
Nine body styles were uncovered

Popular Roadster and Town Car
Four cylinders that worked hard

Sliding gear conventional 3-speed
65 was the top it could keep

First car to have safety glass
Come watch them all drive past
