clementine

i spend all my days with someone
who doesn't care about me in the slightest
and hurts my feelings in the worst ways
but i can't let go of her
nothing would ever be the same
everyone says it'd be
for the better in some ways
but that's not how i feel
if i let you go,
i'm letting part of me go
and i can't let some of me go
without all of me going
so i keep you around to keep myself
i don't even want to keep mysef
i don't think you care to keep me either
but part of me still wants to believe
you'll have the same love for me you once felt
even if it was never real
i will peel myself open and open again
so you can get a taste of my fruit inside
and spit me right back out
only to come back for more
you never liked how i tasted
you just liked watching me peel open
showing you the most vulnerable part of me
you liked peeling my pith away
all of me wasn't good enough for you
you could only accept certain parts of me
and even though i changed to please you
i'm still not good enough
so i'll stitch my peel back up
until you're ready to try me again

Premium MemberDwell I in a Conjuration

Curled as when unborn,
In amnionic ignorance,
Chaos drifts to outer vacuum,
Flown out to nothing lands.
Left in stillness are but blinks,
Flicks of twitches, nightmare flashes;
The molten shadows, upset ink,
Pouring out a realm of lies.

Eloi, Eloi, why do I forsake me?
The mind that playing God,
Pretends to be myself,
Perverse passions, dreaded fears,
Thrown at me as real.

I know not when the conjurations,
Are born but all internally,
Only then in hindsight seen,
I lived in pure deception.

There dwell I in mind’s invention,
Years that last but days,
And hours but mere moments.
Worlds that all a blur,
Conceal the coffin’s nail,
Purgerer’s conviction—
Of rat king imitation: serpent knots;
Thus seen—

Squeeze the throat — make glottal stop,
Force out the lizard head,
Still breathing—
Half digested, hydrochloric mess,
Alive on technicality,
Headless reptile forced,
Back out where it was consumed.

Premium MemberThe Scent Of Danger

Take me out of my head with your head.
Now forgive me, but bold is my baseline.
Make no mistake I must be comfortable,
drawn in by the depth of conversation.

Now forgive me, but bold is my baseline.
I want you to taste my entire body.
Drawn in by the depth of conversation,
please take me even deeper inside.

I want you to taste my entire body,
never stopping to come up for air.
Please take me even deeper inside,
just don’t forget the way back out.

Never stopping to come up for air,
how long can you handle the pressure?
Just don’t forget the way back out,
danger smells better than protection.

How long can you handle the pressure?
Make no mistake I must be comfortable.
Danger smells better than protection,
take me out of my head with your head.

Oh, Well

I went to the store, and right back out the door,
It left me feeling kinda funny.
No chips, candy or teas or soda for me,
Because I forgot my money.
Oh, well, I say and continue my day,
At least it is mostly sunny.

What Marriage Meant For

What is the meaning of marriage
Marriage is about two people
Who are in love irrespective of health,
Of wealth will not abandon each other
But mutually support each other
Irregardless of any circumstances
Will not back out the marital promise
Whether pain or gain will face head on
Facing any storm in life with courage
Never give up but in control willfully
The spark in relationship is tested
To where patience is, the fight strikes
You will see the plot is too scary
Notice that tragedy is part of a story
Love is taste to sweet and sour
To adjust what shield life for a defense
This is the summation of romance
To know that relationship is nice
When it is topsy-turvy experience
And you smile after winning life's storm
This is the privilege of two united brave heart.

Premium MemberJAZZ

Nail walking down the street
Carrying a bagful to fix something
For the master who owns my dreaming
Storefronts lolling sidewalks asleep
Night quiet jazz, Erie, PA
The endless road breaking cartons
Locked doors being kidnapped jumping
fences getting spotted running away
Dreaming snatches of words in the air
Fine milky jazz boots on a roll a train
That passes at 10 a,m, cars with their vapor
Mist the chuga-chuga sound of a boxcar to
No-where the rattling of walls when you are
Alone hot tea Lorrianne in a skirt a poetry
Reading in N.Y. moving out with only the
Shirt on my back going down, back, out, taking
Chris to the mermaid bar covered in sand, no shoes
Living nearby close to the sea, changing
Having enough cool to chill sand enough to scratch
That you never itch life that you're full
Digging the Diz and jack going, back going, back going
Because you want to/needing nothing' nothing but a little
Taste now and again just being free doing it instead of it
doing you

Premium MemberBig Kid Small Town

When I was a kid, about ten,
Living in a very small town,
The streets were all gravel,
And I was free until sundown.

I would leave the house each day,
Ride my bike to get my friend,
And we would race across town,
All four blocks from end to end.

The only places we went
Were the park or the little store.
We got two pieces of gum
For a quarter, sometimes more.

Pedaling like hell to get away,
We were outlaws on the run.
The park only had two swings,
But those monkey bars were fun.

We'd go home when hungry,
Eat, then be back out the door.
That big taste of freedom
In that small town we'd explore.

Never once was there a worry
Until the sun started to fade.
When the street light came on,
My curfew had been made.

I'd tell my buddy goodbye
And make my way back home.
A little kid who felt grown
In that tiny town I'd roam.

Entwined light

Silently waiting
Silently waiting
Waiting in the rain
Waiting for the rain to stop
Waiting for the sun to come back out
My sun never came back out
The clouds just became Grey
The sky became gloomy
In just a moments time
Could it because the sun was Waiting on its rainbow ?
All the while the rainbow was Waiting for its sun.
How can they exist without the other?
Maybe one day sun will realize it has to shine after the storm to bring the rainbow back again.
For beauty exist in all there is.

Premium MemberA Limerick on Limericks

A sentence or two, nothing more.
Five rhymes, and then back out the door.
A meter that’s strained,
Some topic profaned:
Ah me! What’s a limerick for?

The Breath

Alive and death,
Are only The Breath,
Moving through the depths,
Growing it's strength,
Going to any lengths,
To enjoy an experience,
Coming In sync with the dance,
Back out into the expanse,
Creating chance after chance

Premium MemberJust Keep Running

Walking back and forth, waiting at the start
Time is ticking so slow yet so fast
I feel my hands shaking, a pounding in my heart
The nervous feeling that I wont last

Deep breaths, in and out: I know I will make it

The stomach feels sick with feelings of doubt
Wanting to quit the gym, to end the pain
Pushing it side, I will not back out
Reminding myself of the reward I will gain

Deep breaths, in and out: I know I will make it

Thoughts become still, the world fades away
Joy and excitement begin to fill the mind
all my hard work, preapred for today
Another medal to the wall, a new goal to find

Deep breaths, in and out: I will make it

The countdown erupts, the start is here
I know deep down, this is my chance
I can already see the end so clear
Walking to the line, taking a stance

Deep breath, in and out: I will make it

Premium MemberWHAT OUR CHILDREN ARE TEACHING US

Today’s blessing is an old reminder for parents
That every now and deserves to be brought back out:

While you we trying to teach our children (and grandchildren) about life
without trying, they are teaching us what life is all about.

Clocks That Don’t Keep Time

They say life’s not a race and I’m not behind
But my biggest enemy is the clock that keeps time
I fall down and fall short and try to catch up
But it seems that I’m just never enough
I know it’s a lie and that I may not be right
We’re all on different journeys, we live different lives
Walking paths that turn and bend and turn again
I just can’t seem to get out of my head
Days turn to months and months into years
Until yesterday is a memory of laughter and tears
Still it seems that I’m left in the dust the world made
While everyone else is ahead on the roads that they paved
Maybe when I’m older, I’ll live in a house by the sea
Sit by the window where I can see
The waves crash in and roll back out
I’ll stay in that house that is mine
With a clock that is broken and doesn’t keep time

She Deserves Respect

momma is tired of these kids
never clean
just do what they wish
that’s why I gave them scarlet necklaces
yes baby
adulterer is already home hehe
not going through his dumb phone
garnet slip with a heartbreak locket choker instead
so deep I chop off his head
dance and twirl in his ribboning ruby mist
lachrymose
xenotransplantation limbs planted
my severed garden
petals fly each time they bud and sprout back out
chop them down like weeds
next time you should stop and think
gaze into your mother or wife’s eyes asking
is she capable
find out
I would bet your life she is

Premium Memberthinking of Haileys Comet

the comet bursts past the stars in the sky
it looks like a giant fire ball, on fire
I think of Hailey’s Comet
Bringing Mark Twain into the world
And taking him back out seventy-six-years later
Hailey’s Comet is due back in our sky in the year 2061
I will see it if I can stay alive until I am 109.
