Hope is what we feel,
Creates our even keel,
Hope makes smiles aglow,
Here on golden plateau,
Source--faith in Our Lord,
Wake up blessed, still awed!

sunlight was made for your eyes
glints of golds
hints of greens
touch of brown and violet
i fall into them, wanting more
the sun draws out your magic
i feel humbled and awed to know you
and delighted that you are mine to raise

"The world is charged with the grandeur of God."
Quote by _ Gerald Manley Hopkins
(1844-1889)
I look at beautiful nature and I am awed,
And though my life has been one of sorrow;
I always look forward to my tomorrow _
Though broken- I have created a lovely facade.
Sadly, I have lived a life doomed to be flawed,
But, I lose myself among bird echoes in a meadow:
And within the peace and quiet of falling snow_
Oh, look at nature! How can you not be aw'd?

I
When trouble comes
Guilt is behind
With Regret Ready and able
(No time for pun on Cain or Abel)
But don't give up on God
Or even the vilest offender
As the hymnist sang, if s/he truly believes
Pardon from God one truly receives
If you must ---
Give up on the accusers, not on Jesus
II
I have been hurt by Christians
As badly as by heathen, Jew and Hindu
Yet a brother in Christ, or sister,
Can heal with human words too
As the accuser-humans hurt with theirs
And thievery of all sorts, to boot!
Don't shut your ears & heart to WORDS
GOD USES WORDS TO HEAL almost all
That other men and women kill

I
Awed by God
Awe is good
For Holy God
Don't be scared
You'll be heard
II
Awed by God
My prayers flawed
Devotions without verses
Or His Words
Biblical living waters
Go before God
Fearlessly; reverentially awed
III
GREATEST IDEA YET
IF HUMANLY CREATED
A HEAVENLY FATHER
JESUS'S EARTHLY MOTHER
HE USED "ABBA"
INTIMACY INDICATED THEREBY
if only humans
Will go, quietly
To talk intimately
With the Universe
Though HUMANLY perverse
Barriers we'd traverse
Healed we converse

She had a quirky jazziness that could not be denied.
We wanted to be with her, to watch her, maybe to be her.
None of us would admit it, but our wide eyes and open mouths did.

"Be happy in a moment and live in a breath . . "

________________
It happened on a walk,
it was a lovely summer day;
and I had stopped to rest when suddenly,
a multi-hued hummingbird landed on my hand.
He sparkled in the sun,
it was amazing, fantastic, and so awesome;
he held on with delicate feet calmly,
his wings did not flutter.
We shared a divine moment,
and I felt overwhelmed.
I have never forgotten that fleeting gift,
of a hummingbird;
landing on my hand,
and those iridescent colors.

reverential awe
prudent faith-filled perspective
fathoming God’s mind*

Let's visit our sacred space,
Pray for blessings of grace,
Pray for an encounter with the Lord,
If it all come true, we'd all be awed,
Personal encounters with grace,
Hidden, but not far away, in our sacred space.

Awed by the amazing Lord and God* Almighty
Blessed am I with His beautiful gift of eternal life-bounty
Committed to Him of grateful faith-love's certainty
Delighted in His service He deserves midst my duty
Earnest as He upholds me around His endearment's entirety
Fulfilled by His faithfulness smiting faithlessness' futility
Granted with redemption from hell-fire's gravity
Hoisted toward reaching-out along volunteerism's humility
Illumined by the Holy Spirit to see truths despite deceit's infirmity
Jubilant to live with Christmas spirit, rejoicing with spiritual joviality.
1Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

range of beauty rests
up to the mass
fox's not seen as a man
in looking glass
self being's of self mirror
clear to own
false can never be true
though does intone
might's not power
if ignorance's tied
with law of illusions
if life's justified
true sense's angel
sends by God
savior of soul indeed
wisdom's awed

A solitary man meets God
Beneath the moon on frozen sod.
Rock walls caress that quiet place.
Amid the snow and open space –
There, God can speak to heart of man.
Share great truths and give commands.
Each man who waits for Christ’s return,
Within his soul shall soon discern.
There is no place upon this earth
Where a soul’s growth has greater worth.
That pensive place alone with God,
Where He and nature can be awed.

I stand in awe and contemplate nature's beauty
Deep within I feel a very real sense of duty
Awe that I can marvel at a butterfly's flight
Then from my heart be able of butterflies write
I contemplate how plants can sustain survival
Especially when it is such a dry year all upheaval
Yet God the great designer knew just what to do
To assure food, beauty, life as seeds strew
I muse on little happenings in nature
As a water droplet trickles down to nurture
Small creatures of the early morn and give sup
As they can drink from the leaf as if a cup
I meditate on God's goodness at these times
In His presence I humbly bow and flows rhymes
This meditating releases stress worry in time
I can feel the touch of the Great Sublime
I understand there is a Supreme Being
When I look at his creation I am agreeing
Of his forethought on making the earth
With all its beauty, constancy and rebirth
I stand in awe at the wonder of it all
From the Grand Canyon to an ocean squall
I stand in awe at the mountain ranges capped with snow
Of God's love for those in the valley below

God awed me last night
My spirit took flight at the sight
A shooting star prepared for me
Flew out across the sea
The sea of the sky, it did fly
Seemed so close; so close to my eye
I felt that I could reach out
And touch; its white light in route
Did it come on and land on earth?
Or was it in the sky giving wide berth
Touching on sand in a neighboring land
I know that it gave me a feeling grand
It was prepared some eons ago to bless my soul
How many others I'll never know
God is so good to let me this memory hold
Somehow his blessings on me daily bestowes
(Rhyme sort of. Read Psalms 89:5-8 just type it in on the internet search
engine:)

At the steering wheel,
I am inanely awed
by how my car greedily gulps down
into its hood that interminable stretch
of gray highway snaking out as a huge,
obsidian conveyor belt
from the edge of the earth
where the rim of the opalescent sky
at daybreak
begins.
In the same oafish wonder,
I see the pavement itself rush in
and zoom in an ashen blur
under the wan headlights,
only to be belched out as smoky smithereens
filling up the rearview mirror,
disappearing into the oblivion
of speed and distance
far, far
behind.
