Premium MemberAustralis Dreaming - As seen Through Fish Magic by Paul Klee

Before you came
I spoke through rivers
and trees, the flat plains
spilling distance out to where
the world was a mirage
and time shimmered dreamlike
plunging downwards
into a vast inner sea.
Fish swam where now rocky
outcrops rise above the red earth
and exotic lifeforms floated
silently through a celestial dark.
All was an ocean of dream,
creations womb where earth,
sky and water were one
before being born
and pulled apart.

Map-Maker

With compass and sextant, paper and ink,
Bungaree, Nanbaree, Matthew and George
and a cat and a crew were at sea.
They went sailing and sailing, around and around
in Eighteen Hundred and Three.

The Investigator’s navigator calculated space
by meridians and parallels to draw Australia’s place.
With Tasmania as an island, and Bass Strait in between,
he mapped the coastal outlines with ink like lines of lace.

On an island east of Africa, where dodos used to roam,
he wrote a book, and drew more maps, in prison, far from home.
He’d travelled as a scientist; he’d met Frenchman, Baudin,
but, here to mend a leaking boat, they would not let him go.

The governor of the Isle de France let pirates prowl the sea,
but arrested Matthew Flinders as a spy and enemy.

Around Good Hope, after the siege -
from Mauritius, now British (not French),
back to London, sailed Matthew Flinders,
not knowing his days were brief.

Map-maker, map-maker, making a map,
right ’round Australia, and finally back.

Map-maker, map-maker, thanks for the book,
of Terra Australis and the journeys you took.

Biggest Plant Ever - Posidonia Australis

I
Five thousand years
Slow human gears
No internet ears
Seagrass grew

II
Now 200 rugby fields
Showcase Nature's yields
When humans are still
Posidonia, fiberball, grow it will
(Protected by God through Australia)

I Am a Bloke

I Am A Bloke.

I am a bloke you see
that I happen to be,
from Terra Australis,
and who likes to write about
the many things I’ve found,
that it is of the bush,
the scrub,
and other places be.
however, it is most of all
the animals that interest to me,
who creep and crawl about
inhabiting our land,
and in the course of my days I’ve found;
bush turkeys:
make a bloody mess,
wombats:
are cute, in their burrowing ways,
kangaroos:
like to bound about regardless,
red bellied black:
highly venomous bloke,
echidnas:
are prickly folk at their best,
goannas:
simply like to run up trees,
daddy-long-legs
are really and truly scary hairy beasts,
platypus and platypi
are not really seen by many,
kookaburras:
like to sit on boughs of old gum tree,
cane toads:
squishy, squashy are best left dead under feet,
great white sharks:
need to stay in ponds;
but for me on the other hand,
there are many others I could write about,
who play their part and make
the Australian landscape
as the only one of its kind,
and for this I’m proud to be,
a blokes bloke,
a bush balladeer,
and a poet from the land ‘down under.’

Dans Le Heure Bleue

“dans le heure bleue"

My skin feels alive
when you are
next to me
blood pulsing
from the core
of me
Root Chakra Red
My throat exposed
the Wolf now
lies next to me
in my warm bed
savage and smiling
he is seen, he
smells of
fresh crushed green
pine leaves
lemon
basil
bergamot
a heart blooming
with jasmine
rose
carnation
coriander
patchouli
sandalwood
and iris root, then
I’m on my knees
genuflecting
he says,
“Come here,"
He kisses me
and tastes
like
Star Anise

"sauvage
je reviens
vers vous
Rouge
dans le
heure bleue..."

(LadyLabyrinth/2019)

"Scent of a Woman
rising from
the Oceans blue
necklace of pearls
on a clam shell
salt and air
silver cut grass
then earthed
terra australis
Red"

Wild Indigo...
Color of my third eye
Elevates my soul
To universal realms
Of blissful peace.

July 3, 2017

Baptisia Australis or Wild Indigo:
Has a mild toxin that makes them unpalatable to cattle. The Wild Indigo Duskywing is an insect that likes the flower because the flowers have a mild toxin in them which helps defend the caterpillars that are layed on them. The root system consists of a single taproot. Considerable variations of moisture are tolerated.

Hearts Embraced

Love soaring high up above like a dove
The stars glow to show the world below
Through the cosmos we make our way
Passing Oslo's vibrant haze, your beautiful eyes
mirrored the swaying shades

Hearts embrace at daylight break
unto the horizon we make our way
Hearts embrace as the night fades
towards the horizon we go our way

Starstruck on Venus, the morning light greets us
through the eastern sky we make our way
To the celestial skies of australis
the southern beauty became my goddess

Hearts embrace at daylight break
unto the horizon we make our way
Hearts embrace as night fades
towards the horizon we go our way

Stardust dreams
in saturns ring
our love sweeps
in a cosmic breeze

Of Divinity's Oceanic Renaissance

Sitting betwixt these margins outside their box; exactly
Where they wish as need to be ? Growing somewhat weary
Artsy-craftsy's aurora australis articulations; dangling in poetics
Literaturistic high wires acts an arobic miscalculation ? Lese majesty
Essential's evolution morphed their scenes alabaster she and, a revolution.

Premium MemberKingdom of Sgobharaidh

Their lies on the West Coast of Scotland
A Kingdom that's rarely been seen
Where it's beauty radiates through ones eyes
Even closed you can only but dream

Natures gems thrive through seasonal change
Blessing colonies of sea faring birds
To witness the call of it's wilds
So many voices just have to be heard

Cordyline australis grace her lands
They are palm trees to you and me
A native from a land down under
Not Australia, New Zealand is where they be

This area where this Kingdom lies
With it's rugged and beautiful scenes
Freshwater lochs lure many anglers
To catch the fish of their dreams

Many visiting tourists, some in family trace
To discover where their ancestors be
Capturing snaps of their homelands, a past way of life
Filling the blanks of their family tree

Sporadic green forests of pine
With ferns and heathers, carpet the lands
Rugged juts off an earth from the past
Spewed through her juvenile glands

And this land through your eyes that you see
Is the Kingdom that's rarely seen
If you live here we call it Scourie
So beautiful in natures scheme

Aurora's Dawn......

Kiss me....hold me,warm the cold of the night
as we drift with the wind, keeping eachother in sight
Take me....show me,what we're missing in this light
above and beyond,Aurora's banded colors bright.....

Hovering....flying,pole to pole a gift adventure
borealis to australis,in this time, duration tenure
shaking....trembling,from the oscillating figures
towers of light, dwarfing all below too minature.....

Kiss me....hold me....

warm the cold of the night,
possibly someday
we'll all get it right......
