Fifty one m1 Abrams tanks.' Australian donated it would
Break a small bank' to cause more misery..While many
Live in tents.' War and destruction, and madcap bents.?
Young Australians denied an army job.' Why were they
First obtslained.? Must have cost some bobs." Why not
Employ them as temporaty accomodations.' Thats how
Dire things are in our nation.' I never thought this could
Be the case.' I hear of war on want.' We need breathing
Space.' A time to consider? And that is now! Start fixing
Up each country, they should not be ( cash cows ) help
Your own..' Just stop bending over' to the god of destruction 'who at the moment' has a camoflauge of
Of green clover."

Australia is so beautiful
Tropical forests go on forever
Plants not known anywhere else
Brightly colored flowers bloom
And grasses reach into the sky
So many animals, insects and birds
Life abounds in every meter
You must always be careful
Make sure you wear the right clothes
All Australians know the truth
Everything in Australia wants to kill you
So just stay locked in your car
You may be safe
But that is not guaranteed

Albo shall go..Lambie too.!
There are some camps lying idle
I hear we need a digital zoo?
So don't come the 'raw prawn'
Now Australians ! what say you.?

No Welcome Needed
I DO NOT need a ‘Welcome’
to the land where I was born,
This country called Australia
I proudly call my own.
I’ll THANK my great, great, grandpa
who sailed across the sea,
Then settled here and built his farm
When? in Eighteen Sixty.
He did not steal his little plot
he bought it fair and square,
His house he built from fine sandstone
and raised his family there.
His children all Australians
when ‘welcomed’ here on earth,
Though ‘Swiss Italian’ heritage.
all Aussies were by birth.
And through each generation
his descendants still reside,
Throughout Australian landscapes
now scattered far and wide.
So YES, upon Australia Day
I’ll proudly celebrate,
This nation built on sweat and toil
that I appreciate.
My country that is lucky
still free from war torn strife,
Where we can come and go as pleased
and live our peaceful life.
So, raise our flag red, white, and blue
let’s sing our national song,
Give THANKS for all we have right here.
this land where we belong.

dainty painted lady butterfly
Australians claim you but so do I
your lively looks, your delicate way
enhances my garden on this Tuesday
delicate painted lady, your browns and white
bring me joy and happiness, loads of delight
Your spotted wings so symmetrical and fair
I love seeing you as you fly off into the air

You remember the mud blood and mosquitos
And the Agent Orange brought back as a memento
In your jungle greens at Vung Tau
Nui Dat memories won’t fade even now
Picked out of the lottery for National Service each one
Taken by the Vung Tau ferry or Qantas your Vietnam service begun
Each soldier on their tour in sacrifice for country
In loyalty to Australia fighting for others to be free
Regulars and National Service in pride you stand
It’s been 50 years and Australia remembers each woman and man
We are proud of these Australians one and all
Who stood tall for us in an unpopular war at our beck and call.

I have considered at some length, the incronvertible
Evidence of malignant intent also conspiracy to end
Lives of those oblivious to, and devoid of any ill intent to others (murder by any other term)
I am enraged..Which beleive me does not cover the
Depth and levels of my revulsion, that ' new Australians
As for instance' I would describe Harry Horseman ' are
Not safe ? in my country.' What a terrible feeling.! I am outside
Of enraged.' I feel almost personally responsible.' Which
Is bizarre. Is it bizarre.? Or is it the realization I have been
Betrayed.' My trust so abused.' I used to think how great
An ethos overall my country had.' Nurturing the spirit to
Overcome' the mateship to overlook small mindedness
The readiness to share.' I am reseloutely determined to
Oppose the sick idealisam that all this narcissiam is rooted In.' I love life freedom equality that is tenable not
A placebo reality that causes frustration, because it is
Ultimately an untennabilty that is advertised to create
All humanity's demise

Leon Byner has left the building
After 23 years of people bargaining
He was the people’s voice to be heard
And on most things he was undeterred
I remember him spinning discs in the 60s and 70s
As a radio disc jockey so cool you see
Before shifting to talkback radio at 5AA
Where he would take on the issues for SA
So like everyone he has reached his
final show
And today 1/12/22 it was his time to go
There will be people now taking a sigh
As South Australians we wish him well and goodbye.

Do you hear what was done
Those years ago under the Australian sun
We came to what we were told
Was an empty land for the bold
Some had no choice as a convicts fall
When their sentence was at the old Bailey’s call
Free settlers paid their way here too
Thinking it was all for them to do
So hardships were worked through
Making a life for their family too
But some were pushed aside
Making their lives hard to abide
The Australian Parliament has apologised
For the way First Nations were treated and ostracised
So time marches on with some bridges mended
But it seems the progress isn’t good or as fast as intended
So now we go from one issue to the next
Leaving Australians so perplexed
How many times do we need to go through it again
I wonder when will this all find an end?

It wasn’t me the notorious outlaw said.
His mother was Ellen, his father Red.
They used to sell illegal liquor, so he was ill-bred.
A case of mistaken identity, said the Kelly, Ned.
Horse thieving and hurting policemen too.
We know it’s you! We know it’s you!
It was not me, the horse thief Ned Kelly lied.
But he abruptly lost when his case was tried.
He’ll be hanged, by cracky! The Australians said.
We’ll string him up ‘til he is dead!’
But he saved my life! One of the jurors cried.
He saved me from drowning. Can’t we let this slide?
It wasn’t me! The outlaw lied. It wasn’t me! It wasn’t me!
It was him, the police said, and they all did agree.
They tied him up, and let him hang and he soon died.
And the boy he saved from drowning was the one that cried.

Another Australia Day has dawned again
The question s why can’t we all be friends
A flag flies over us
Including the Union Jack makes a fuss
We are here now and will remain
The years and wars attest our fame
And there are things that I feel
Were abhorrent in our deal
The first Australians had it raw
And it’s difficult to even the score
It seems that colonialism still echoes on
Even though it is long enough gone
So our national day occurs
Where excuses are like saddles with burrs
Should we be left to make it right
When we weren’t even in the fight.

Australians all let us raise our voice
For we were young and free
This makes my blood boil on my own soil
Our home is encircled by airlines
Our land abounds with political gits
Of no beauty, or rarity
In history's page let every stage
Advance Australia unfair.

He enlisted with his great mates
And embarked with his life left to fate
To Egypt and its desert sands
Training hard at the Army Heads commands
He was at The Landing at Gallipoli
Battling the Turks in Shrapnel Gully
Until he took a piece in his back when doing his best
And to Egypt for treatment and to convalesce
He went to one of the new battalions when they were formed
To England and Salisbury Plain as was the norm
Enduring the Bull Ring then to the Front Line
Finally falling at Pozieres where the German artillery was not kind
They buried him on the broken battlefield
On the ground that he refused to yield
And his papers recorded a postscript lastly meant
“Where the Australians lie” in soil
cared with reverence.

Are the exploits slowly fading of the folk who forged this land?
Are there more important factors, today for us to understand?
Are we prepared to lose our national character?
Erase our borderlines, and forget about Australia,
where squatter and selector, fought fire, flood and drought …
the Shearer and the drover helping cut the wool clip out.
Self-reliance in this dry land; suspicious of authority,
physical and mental toughness, laconic humour tempered eagerly.
The exploits real and fabled, our robustness could quite relate,
so in our generation - old qualities are ours to celebrate,
for the musterer and stockman on a cattle or sheep run.
The swaggy and the bagman tramping 'neath the burning sun.
The diggers and the miners. with their quest for precious ore.
Bushrangers and the troopers who were the lawless and the law.
The footsteps of explorers and those who died in war.
Bullocks and the Walers; axe ring and crosscut saw.
'T'is for the struggle of our pioneers,
and who's souls we can’t restore,
that we must preserve the heritage,
of Australians who have lived before.
