You got me to a bower of mulberry blue,
And made me stick to it like with a glue,
You gave me the joy of expressing the self,
And filled with the books of joy - My shelf.
When I write you I feel I am in heaven,
And I won't be harmed even by the black raven,
You gave me joy and made me pine,
For writing you and craving for you time and again-
Like a glass jar of sweet red wine.
Write concerning words even though it will be a kind of a shortest poems ever known to man.
Write as if nobody can do it for you, perhaps, you are right.
The art of writing pooetry for John lawless
I never know when I’ll write poo-etry
So I keep a pen and paper with me
If inspired when I sit on the loo
Toilet roll can prove so handy too!
My writing it looks like a spider
who’s drunk on strong apple cider
I may strain when I use a long word
Oh yippee I see word rhymes with turd!
I can class myself as a poop poet
my poems are ‘dire ere' and I know it!
But I try to bring some fun your way
and sometimes get Poo et of the day!

Pieces of what I know sparkle like glass,
refusing to coalesce into concrete thoughts
My fingers reach the words, but fail
to download them into that place we call the brain
Cerebral gnats tickle the edge of my creativity
They want so badly to be words on a page,
seem to hate me for my lack of eagerness to write
because I am falling apart
I whisper to them as if they were puppies
"Come here, please." I entreat, offering them
bits of rewards, a poem, a haiku...something
They shake their heads, shy away, trembling
If only words could be out of the ether
in clouds of perfect and impeccable scribbling
But that is not the nature of the beast and I sit here
picking each one, like pinching fleas off a dog
First come up with a catchy title
One that will draw the crowds
Throw in a bit of Mojo
A little pizzazz, a lot of Wow
Give it a twinge of what people want
A slight tweak of what people need
That can stand on it's on, slap them square in the face
How about you call it FREE MONEY!
Now that you have the hardest of parts
Tightly locked in place
It's time to spin the ultimate rhyme
One that will blow them all away
Throw in a little love for all the ladies
One or two car chases for Dad
So as not to leave anyone out
Dinosaur's and bunny rabbits for the kids
Now take it and mix it together
Slightly shaken but never stirred
Till you have them eating out of your hands
Devouring your every word
This will keep them coming back for more
They will always be waiting in line
For your next junket through
The world of mysterious rhyme
I hope that this has been helpful
And in a way has enlightened you
Now go out there Mr.and Miz Poet
There's a line outside waiting for you
Trapped between two worlds
Expressions of paint and ink
The art of writing.
