They say I inflated
It's they that conflated
Political lies with their version of facts.
The mess they created
Will long be debated
Another attempt to silence and styme.
As often I've stated
Which leaves them frustrated
I'm worth every cent of the Billions I claim.
The reason I'm fated
And by some surely hated
Is my obvious success and the money I make.
Letitia's now grated
Quite a bit aggravated
That her bark is so hollow with clearly no bite.
Not one to be intimidated
My strength celebrated
Let them throw what they will and watch it dissolve.
My lawyers are rated
This case armor plated
Watch these bogus new charges soon dissipate.
In the meantime I've slated
For the fans I've created
More rallies to drive my winning points home.
I'm buoyed and elated
Evermore motivated
For the White house to bask in my presence once more.

As a cloak, it protects—a barrier of sorts,
A safeguard, like umbrellas to rain.
A breastplate not worn; a mask unadorned
A rampart-type bulwark, restrained.
Initially triangular, now morphed to encircle,
An offensive Vibranium guard—THAT DEFENDS!
Red, white, & blue armor, plated to sparkle.
Ensuring swift justice, as a means to an end.
Captain America’s shield is a symbol,
For times when character wanes.
An instrument of warfare—that's nimble,
Serving good wrapped in villainous chains.
The shield defends freedom,
And the American way.
An armored symbolic medium,
Dispersing the evil of human decay.

Roly poly armor plated,
Clumsy gated beast.
Looking for a juicy worm,
A creepy, crawly feast.
Sleeping mostly through the day,
Prowling at night,
seeming quiet, docile, shy,
He can put up a fight.
Not a trouble maker,
It's just his lot in life.
He does his best not to be seen.
He's trying to survive.

The corridor to her heart
Was lined by shelves with dusty books
The walls were adorned with a myriad of portraits
For whom all had haunting looks
Upon first entering there was ample room
One could turn around to run
And now it is as though I'm a bullet chambered in a gun
Bleeding through my armor plated chest its clear to me
There's no such thing as manifest destiny
In the hallway of my life I stand before
The last door at the end
To petrified to knock, much less let myself in
The open palms of want were turned upside down
As offerings were thrown upon uneven ground
Isn't it funny how quick things change
When what we want gets re-arranged
Sides chosen for their beauty can turn ugly by time
And the air just gets thinner the higher up that we climb
In a bed of tragedy wicked thoughts are spawned
As one lover drowns the other in a heart shaped pond
Investigators send samples of the water to a lab to be tested
Where there is a man in a white coat who has nothing invested
The results are rich in iron and high in agony
A crown of thorns laced with bitter irony

The 100 Year War
I rise
Mighty and strong
Armor plated and ready for battle
I shall behead the infidel
I shall conquer the evil doers
I am a warrior
Both great and bad
I am a warrior, and
I am sad
Tears fall upon my sword
I know not why
This great warrior why do I cry?
I can battle an army and rise the victor
Yet I can not rise out of me bed
I am sad and lethargic
I am weak in the knee
I am depressed
To much sadness in me
Lovers a plenty
Conquered lands and treasures
I have it all
Yet the sadness invades
The depths of me soul
I give my heart to all that I love
I feed the poor
From the spoils of my wars
Yet here I am, I think a kind soul
Burdened in darkness
Depression is my hole
My love I know this seems bizarre
You have all you wish, a rising star
A Black Knight with honors flying high
To you I say forgive me please
For battles you never shall see
I lie down
In our garden of roses
Thorns to make me feel more than I do
For the darkness robs us both
For me to feel you
Good by my love
Notes: Anyone for has suffered depression, knows that a 100 year war is nothing compared to battling depression.

FIERY SKYSCRAPERS
City is dull as a fired gun
When the sun goes down
Lights not yet lit, buildings dun :
Sunset’s last gleaming on the town.
Reflection from buildings follows
The lowering flaming sun. Glaring,
He makes gilded castles, mirrors windows
With orange-yellow fiery flaring.
Armor-plated against the forces of darkness
These Gideon-polished glass shields *
Inflict sun-reflect on an enemy helpless.
A golden weapon he wields.
Standing proud above they seem
Fearless of the dark, signaling to me -
As the Shining Towers of Illium gleamed *
When Helen first spied them from the sea.
…………………………………………………………………………………….
NOTES
At sunset the windows of many skyscrapers are dazzling in the reflected sunlight, often turning the entire building to shimmering gold.
* Illium = Troy. Helen was the woman ultimately responsible for the destruction of Troy.
* Gideon was a famous leader of the Israelites in Biblical times, winning a battle by polishing his soldiers’ shields and blinding his foes with reflected sunlight.
