FADING LIGHT OF HISTORY*

Mysterious monuments,
magnificent monoliths,
ancient ruins 
capture our imagination.

Wandering through them,  
we become seekers,
finding mystery and beauty
in the decay.

The air surrounding them
thick with the scent of history.

We wander purposively,

Arbor arch purple wisteria
Brings reborn memories blooming
Colors of rainbows bursting
Delights of garden
Enduring sacred mission of honeybees

TIGER

There was tiger named Archie Hoggerpipe,
Who, weirdly, wished to swap every dark stripe.
A turkey quickly agreed
To meet Archie's costume need.
Thankful lions ate Arch, leaving no tripe.

The stuffed pride of lions later cried fowl.
O how the savannah shook with their howl.
A tiger without wishbone
Left all lions anger prone,

Up above
black clouds cry heavily
I sympathize the sky
that a good day can't come by
in due time
the darkness scattered
and the heavens
bless the town with a
seven-colored arch
I go outside
and stand before it
embracing its amazing grandeur
I see a city on the other side of the arch
I walk through the portal
ending up in a city of gold
