FADING LIGHT OF HISTORY*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mysterious monuments,
magnificent monoliths,
ancient ruins
capture our imagination.
Wandering through them,
we become seekers,
finding mystery and beauty
in the decay.
The air surrounding them
thick with the scent of history.
forces us to tread lightly,
our hearts attuned to whispers of the past.
We wander purposively,
sifting through the grains of time
listening to the ruins speak
of the
Winds of March through Golden Arch
this may seem (sound) absurd
up much trouble he has stirred
being tough old bird
an honest life lead
wife and me we had been wed
prayers to God had said
winds would be of March
when I was dry throat parch
blown through golden arch
coffee and donut
drank then ate and my mouth shut
against wall head butt
saved from sin will need
God surely
HIS SKY ARCH CANVASSING
Seeded by seminal rays
Of sunshine,
Out of the pregnant womb
Of breaking water,
She comes;
Doming over
The throne of earth:-
No less than always,
Her crowning has been
A reflective multi-hued
Bouquet only God
Can gather and
Gloriously arrange:-
As old as time–
But not altered by its history–
Is her everlasting
Hemispherical radiance:-
From time immemorial,
The world has been
Privileged to see
Her radiant, colorful glow:
Nothing has
Premium MemberTIGER
There was tiger named Archie Hoggerpipe,
Who, weirdly, wished to swap every dark stripe.
A turkey quickly agreed
To meet Archie's costume need.
Thankful lions ate Arch, leaving no tripe.
The stuffed pride of lions later cried fowl.
O how the savannah shook with their howl.
A tiger without wishbone
Left all lions anger prone,
Until round the striped turkey they did prowl.
The Arch
Did I notice the arch
The bend in me
That caused the shift
When did it begin
When did I start manifesting it
Do I even know why
Why I was so desperate for a change
Yes I know why
Of course I do
Because what I said I would never be
I had fully
Arch
Are you symbolic gesture that
Premium MemberExecution - Collaboration
Despair of spectres whispered, John heard it muttered
Fears spoken, centuries of shame sunk into stone
Hanging tree hoisted him, feet above ground fluttered
Rope bound neck bulged, blood starved eyes shuttered
Aghast, entertainment starved spectators absorbed gore
Under his breath they heard it uttered,
" I am among the lowliest, and the last"
Sentiment collected by authorities,  soon to
Sneaky Jeja
While walking past this tree
I thought it said
"Can I have your sandwich"
I thought
"Did you speak to me"
He stuck out his hand and doubled it and took it
Before i said "yes"
Without a twitch
I handed it over again and laughed all the way home
What a cheeky Sneaky Jeja tree.
Amen.
Up above
black clouds cry heavily
I sympathize the sky
that a good day can't come by
in due time
the darkness scattered
and the heavens
bless the town with a
seven-colored arch
I go outside
and stand before it
embracing its amazing grandeur
I see a city on the other side of the arch
I walk through the portal
ending up in a city of gold
