There comes that day, inevitable day
when God will have had enough.
When His promises, humans overstay
hence, He will have his rebuff.
God's covenants come with a consequence
as we humans play the fool.
His forgiveness appraises disobedience;
and He governs with sovereign rule.
Is it selfish to pray, "Lord, Jesus, come
to take your children home"?
Such brings the destruction of earth's kingdom;
yet shall tribulation convert some?
Away with the pretense of our praise;
God knows the song of our hearts,
His justice rolls as the rivers raise,
judgment will stream as His Spirit departs.

Blind from birth
A derelict tainting the earth
Lame, deaf, or broken
A weight upon Caesar's token
...draining provision
Voices, choices
Addiction, conviction
Taxes for the battle axes
Removing the Approving
...for lesser
Those who assign value
Based on accepted image
Will evaluate humanity
Based on lineage
LOVE appraises life
Precious and true
No matter what seems to lack
His presence is affirmed in blue
...sapphire

Guard your heart
from those,
who love you
only for their benefit.
Those who
value your time
only for convenience.
Walk away
from those
who steal your
precious peace.
That of the mind
appraises above all.
Never settle for less
than your due,
that will diminish
your view
of your intrinsic value…
never ending
in appreciation.
They know your worth;
play no fool.
You are the light,
the truth.
Nurtured by
the sight
of God.
To love yourself,
is to propose to God
with vows
in the form of
displays of
self-affection.
In return
expect an infinite yes.
anyone who disagrees
is to stay
as far away
as possible
from your peace,
your time,
and
your love.

Moments
I sit in the stifling heat of the car,
Taxi’s block the entrance like a boom bar,
Walkway broken, crowded with hopes.
An old white van stutters up ahead,
At back stark white coffin with gilt handles:
Family sit, heads scarved and drooped,
Red flag of death flickers, a torn bit of time.
Moving glances slide off the coffin like invisible tears,
Sorries unsaid, fears relieved, if only for a moment.
Death sits in an empty coffin,
Waiting to receive the spewed remains of Life.
Is this what it is at the end?
A moment of silence in the roar of today?
A young man jumps out the back of the van,
Appraises a young woman passing by,
Glances cast like invisible smiles,
They speak of hope and love and maybe’s.

Our Words Are a Testament
Of Who We Are
Written: by Tom Wright
7/2/2018
The words we voice tell others who we are,
Dishing hurt for hurt just isn’t God’s way.
But man Oft desires the parting au revoir,
Then upon reflection, morals make him pay.
Each uttered word God instantly appraises,
But previously spoken words we can rectify.
We use subtle words camouflaged as praises,
Then, in our garden of pretend, question why?

Guess which word irritates me in this poem?
If you do not figure it out, you can read my notes.
Who has the most clout? A carwife or a housewife?
Do we have to factor in the dollar amount paid for the car
and the house?
Would the two million dollar housewife be worth more or less than the
one hundred and twenty-eight thousand dollars housewife?
worth less because she probably can afford to hire help,
so does less of the housework?
or worth more because her house appraises at a higher number?
Shall we go ask the 1950's carhusband?

I’d like to gift you this diamond ring
Shining on top of the low karat gold
For, my dear, while Valentine’s coming
Your fine finger will look really untold
People glance would think authentic
Briefly, appraises for a pricey jewelry
Consider some adornments synthetic
Made celebrities glorious and pretty
Delight the jewelry that we possess
Be proud of everything that we own
The pricy things greed brings us sadness
Smile to the simple synthetic stone
In our hearts, we build up a happy life
Love won’t survive just on costly style

Many miles away, a mammoth journey to complete
Travelling by stealth, incognito, alone by wise choice
Hazy memories of his homeland and boyhood street
Friendless these lean years, no recognition to rejoice
Mercenary factions control his vagabond life
Icelandic fjords, volcanic rocks, desert dunes attend
Flash bye and fade, fragmented in perennial strife
Look far away, head and heart appraises to amend
Many miles away, a mammoth journey to complete
For seven long years he kept away, a lifetime ago
Hazy memories of his homeland and boyhood street
Aged in years, comparisons he hides well below
In cosmopolitan artificiality
He orchestrated ways and means for exited culls
Initiated to ensure free world buoyancy
To prevent corruption by power hungry moguls
Many miles away, a mammoth journey to complete
This last commission to undertake for MI5
Then return to his love ones, homeland and boyhood street
If the powers that be are with him he will survive

Pouring down to the depth of my soul
Struggling to give up a mighty position
To let this long driven desire take control
Humbling it is to my retrospection
Never timid, this deep voice appraises demands and opinions
Which destructs my discretion
Moments such as this, redefines the certainty of my division
Such as not being so humbling with tamed aggression
Set in the ways of self, my flame divides
Commonly set in the way of two, the fire burns
It was decisively made to stay in a woman's place on her side
And so the lesson continues to train the flame to learn
As it foolishly burns

Choose Wisely
Man
Living
Eternal,
Resurrected
Because Christ arose
And God forgives sinners
When they ask for forgiveness,
Has a consequence in the end.
Judgment, which appraises all choices,
Determines a soul’s success…forever.
