Anticlockwise Poems | Examples

Villanelle of whims

I know here and there I stand
to surmount a hurt of unknown
   differences, if not something bad.

   The devil may go anticlockwise
   but, I how dear
how bold, I know I supposed.

   Supposing I have to start
     start from the past century
then, how many cups of tea or coffee
    I should drink tonight?.

Or supposing this country of mine
I wished to change with another, another
    how to endure and where.

    Or supposing Africa and America
and Europe and Asia and Australia
are continents, how technocracy or aba?.

Like just brother the years to come
the wind a thing, the world
    like em, em, em,..........
      somewhat is something
which I felt is this sometimes wither
      in life.

A Worldly Wise Woman Is Solomon Wise

A woman who’s worldly-wise
In men’s rooms lies belly-wise:
Watching her you choke breath-wise,
A bed six meters length-wise!

You fail to look you’re not wise:
“Please, go and meet the street-wise
To stop being rather unwise
And your eyes permit the price”

A woman for the world wise
Could your dear life make her price,
Try to with it rise and rise,
Now choosing to move clockwise,
All too soon, anticlockwise…

Member of club For True Lies,
Her needs she gets from false cries:
She’s never the penny-wise,
Not when she’s Solomon-wise

Dew

Dewdrops, appears, its drops are myopic,
no blame angel falls,
convenience, not the hardships.

Dripping without mercy,
cracked ribs.
Move anticlockwise,
Learn to be wise,
set and rise.

Seeing them lined up,
in the courtyard of Hyperpolitan,
bear provisions for their destiny.
Saying the odd, asking blessings

The lucky one is the drum of worship.
Not Ghazal, the love poem,
wisdom of the hall, resident of embers.
For haters, winning alone is enough.

Soured and Faded

and now, colour blots whitewash on blanched wall; yesterday distanced from today’s gale—on the facade, from where, towards the end, faced face down time’s row in anticlockwise retrogression; the beginning from the end ends in the beginning, with each footprint laced—crowned in blue daisies, we giggled out “Oh! My God” as fleets of golden butterflies twinkled in broad daylight... I recall—a cyclone had begun, wafted us aloof

one deadwood
makes no woodland
terracotta shrub

and the struggle continues—like shadows in blank places and distant church bell gongs in the eclipse of our eyes like the moon and sun in a miniature wedding day—an endless abyss submerges the hollow of a burning ring with a gully wind rush through the needle’s eye as we dig deeper into dark secrets of our cardinal sins; apple's taste becomes acrid, putrid strawberry on coiled lips, whiffs of death scented coarse roses, stowed underneath sloshes of salt-waterfalls

wooden chest
bullets from her razor lips
words bank

The Cycle

THE CYCLE

Like a compass
We journey from a point
And return again to pass
What circumstances have anoint
Government like a cycle of glass

Yes, we have journeyed
But we revolve in one government
Outside what democracy need
The progeny of mismanagement

Moving in a clockwise direction
We urge for change of miracle
Journeying in an anticlockwise circulation
Yet we revolve to meet thesame obstacle
Enough of the manipulation

A journey in sphere
Democracy is confidently forsaken
Unless we journey fair
Unless this cycle is broken

Evility Bitters

Devils spawn, Beelzebub groupie
Sinister minister of hell fire
Sinner sister
Brother dire in a B-movie
Left handed without fealty
Never to sit on the right
hand of some imaginary deity
Cursed with evil notoriety
To abide with the devils pet goat
seething with bitter envy
Left handed, bereft of pity
anticlockwise to dither
slimy and shitty
A snake that slithers
Not you,
so pure
right on, right there.
Conservatively dour
Smelling of roses
benevolent snare
Correct, on message,
pointless,
caring,
so caring.

Moonless

Cried out eyes crimson,
The only roses to my valentine
The mind’s shut up
The heart’s stirred up
Tearing through pain and doubt
Broken and shutout
To find the moon rock
Gone on a permanent lunar walk

Perfect silence
Noiseless
Motionless quietness
Emotionless stillness
An ambiance of loneliness
A quote to the loveless
Mindless
Moonless

All her shining glory gone
All my life’s glow’s done
My core was her poles
Now my dullness shows...pales
I wear an artificial shine
Shallowness of a superficial mine

The days are none eventful
My nights less lunarful
My revolution’s anticlockwise
My rotation’s otherwise
Deprived of her near side
I dwell in a dark side
Loveless
Moonless

Pitch blackness
Spewed with heartlessness
Sky painted with a tarred hand
Night spilled into a burning band
Your phases captivated me like a clenched fist
I beg to open up to quench love’s thirst
In the desert of a deserted moon walk
Eclipsed in the dark

Five Points of a Star

Figure like Orion’s belt
An extended arm to the left
Points the way to her heart
To the source of the force field

Hair in a drag like a comet
Her direction anticlockwise like an orbit
Gaining speed the closer she gets to my heart
Traversing space faster than a lightning bolt

Moving light years from left to right
The sentinel to my darkest nights
She’s made of nothing but dark matter
Heaven sent like a sealed love letter

Understanding beyond age and maturity
Both feet firmly grounded in victory
Unshaken she’s the centre of me
Unmoved by prophecy a powerful deity

Her being shining from head to toe
Bearing more than just a simmering glow
Pointing from the centre of the cosmos
In all directions forever as photons

I Am Six Feet Tall

I am six feet tall
I am 59
I am not a monster
Don't hit me
I am extended in space-time
And never stay on a dime
Don't overrate me.
I run between left and right
And sleep between day and night
Don't cheat me.
I move clockwise
But dream anticlockwise
Repeat me.
If you can
Meet me.

Anticlockwise

When I was a child
I thought time travelled with
the ticking clock

Grandpa always said
His childhood days were better than mine
To travel into those days
I reversed the hour hand
as many times
as would be sixty years back

To this day, folks
I still feel his rough palms
Planted onto my cheeks
and his course voice pinching my ears
for breaking down his precious clock

Difficult Ambition

i saw the footprints on the sands of the oasis,
and the loamy soils around the rose garden,
i also saw prints on the mountains:
the strings that aid the climber, i also saw
them go the other way around;
(evidence of return,decent)

but i still look for the prints on the sky
around the moon,
and so i still stare up,neck bent,
cos she turned a million miles a metre
in the darkness of the woods, dungeon,
hungry heart when she smiled at me.

i saw me decend the valleys(i didnt know)
went anticlockwise(couldn't imagine)
high among the milky she holds my heart.
my feet never touched the ground:
no job,office,domain.

circles:the universe, clock ,and me,
impeccable gyration, for the arrow i fired
keeps decending, and so she still takes
me along(no direction)just the way it was
when i first saw her.
