I'll always remember the vows we made on that Special Day,
I promised that I would Love, Honour and Obey.
As I look back on these years just one thing comes to mind
If I had searched the whole wide world,a better Man I wouldn't find.
You were the starlight in my eyes, the reason for my life,
You gave me five beautiful children when I became your wife,
You made me laugh, you made me cry you gave me Comfort too,
I know I wasn't perfect but I tried very hard for you.
If I could have just one wish I know what it would be
That all the lovers in the world could be as happy as you and me.
I Miss you so much Darling, life will never be the same,
But the love and all the memories will forever remain.
So on this very special day my thoughts are all of you,
I know that you will give me the love and strength to carry through.
One day my Darling I will kiss ?? and hold you tight,
Until then My Darling Mike you'll be my guiding light ??.
God bless you Darling
It's a promise to laugh at the good.
Be silly, spontaneous and comfortable being yourself.
It's a promise to be supportive.
Be the shoulder. Be the rock.
Be the hand to hold each other up.
It's a promise to accept.
Accept the flaws-the big and the small.
It's a promise to disagree.
To argue and get mad.
It's a promise to forgive.
To listen and understand.
It's a promise to compromise.
To make decisions together.
It's a promise to share.
Share your hopes and dreams.
Share your crazy ideas and fears.
Share your bed. Share your heart.
It's a promise to give.
Give each other attention.
A touch. A look. A smile from across a crowded room.
It's a promise to show how much you mean to each other.
A goodnight kiss. An I love you text.
But most importantly,
It's a promise to be true.
It's a promise to always be there.
It's a promise to love.
From the first girl scout cookie to a glad gift of gold - sold!
In her eyes sparkle bright and true, a true hymn of your divine view, when she's near my world takes onto a new hue, though many lay before me, they've never been you, with every glance my soul begins to soar, a never before seen lore carved into my core, here's my ode- my love for you to see, a sonet of our loves harmony.
The Passing
By Franklin Price
01/18/2025
The anniversary today
Is of the passing of my wife
It has been three long years ago
That she was taken from this life
Taken home, to God, in Heaven
Who brought her through the Golden Gate
Christ, His only Son, had saved her
That's why I celebrate this date
Two and fifty years together
Since we had said our wedding vows
Our lives were always blessed by Him
We never asked the whys or hows
She a Catholic, I a Baptist
As Christians, we were far apart
Belief that Christ had died for us
Was always in our life and heart
So when she passed three years ago
I cried then, and morn her still
I missed her then, and miss her now
And I know I always will
She is now in Heaven watching
Her spirit is still here with me
When my time on Earth is over
She will be waiting there to see
For those of you who read this
And either have a man or wife
I hope that you are also blessed
As I have been in my life
Happy Anniversary to me
Forty years ago, we said “I do”
You pledged to me, and I pledged to you
And in a fleeting moment’s span,
our journey through life began.
Our friendship over time has grown
Despite the curved balls, life has thrown.
God has His divine magic spun
Uniting our souls into one.
As we have grown closer to Him,
Our love was kept from growing dim.
His love for us makes ours strong
Even at times when things go wrong.
A better wife I could not find
One so affable and kind.
You have been patient with my faults
When my ego itself exalts.
As we start another year
We can do so without fear.
For the one who pilots our ship
He never falters, nor does he slip.
In this world engrossed in sin
May His light shine from within.
So, a soul forlorn and lost
Will be rescued from life’s frost.
I'll always remember the vows we made on that Special Day,
I promised that I would Love, Honour and Obey.
As I look back on these years, just one thing comes to mind.
If I had searched the whole wide world, a better Man I wouldn't find.
You were the starlight in my eyes, the reason for my life.
You gave me five beautiful children when I became your wife.
You made me laugh, you made me cry, you gave me Comfort too.
I know I wasn't perfect but I tried very hard for you.
If I could have just one wish, I know what it would be.
That all the lovers in this world,Could be as happy as you and me.
I love you so much Darling, life will never be the same.
But the love and all the memories will forever remain.
So on this very special day,my thoughts are all of you.
I know that you will give me the love and strength to carry through.
One day my Darling I will kiss ?? and hold you tight.
Until then My Darling Mike, you'll be my guiding light.
In forty five years of love
It was a great journey that we share
At this time there were a lot of tears and joy
From day one, our love has grown
Our hearts are filled with love
From day one our love continues to grow
There are so many memories to hold to in forty-five years
Our hearts are full of love that is worth more than gold
Forty-five years is a milestone these days
My life's beautiful memories are with you
Thanks for sticking with me all these years
Without you, I wouldn't be the man I am
Memorized His T-Shirt
Your eyes I’d memorize, emotive brown.
I think you memorized those lines, oh you…
Tinged pink, the peaks of youth, don’t let me down.
You knelt at my curved knee to tie my shoe.
I ride your bike on handlebars, so cool.
Our bodies fit each other like a glove.
Your arms and legs, steady, don’t be a fool…
I’m safe as long as you don’t crash, my love.
We stretched our wheels a bit too far. Twilight
simmers, our experience shows, who cares…
Fate linked up with friends - not stranded tonight.
The moon is nigh, unspoken dreams we share.

*If I told you, you had a good body*
*would you hold it against me - shirt’s bawdy*
**************************************************
Your racing bike is broken with a bad derailleur.
I look back at my life and admit it’s a failure.
If a daft old hen laying scrambled eggs, so sad, can,
Then I will concede that I’m an addle-brained madman.
Like a leafless tree holding a kite frame skeleton,
Your arms and my legs are no stronger than gelatin.
As an eagle whose threadbare wings will no longer fly,
It’s time now for me to find a quiet place to die.
Wish we were just married.
My trusting head upon your shoulder.
When we had so terribly little,
Yet.... so very much.
And we seemed to have beeen
blessed with the magic touch,
That made us to the world far,
far bolder!
Watching the spiritual fog,lift the
San Francisco sun each dawn.
Like a deer, wakes each morning,
to feed her dear, precious fawn.
Really, few precious vittles to eat.
Nontheless,we walked to Nortn Beach,
To be with other poets for a Mocha treat.
The San Francisco streets welcomed us.
Those dewy, foggy nights, did embrace
embrace us…thus!

Hearts in love stroll
midst ecstatic bliss
Basking under caressing warmth
of vibrant morning glow
Thanking God for togetherness
marked by romantic chimes
Away from home works
and kids' nursery rhymes.

Many years ago,
a simple kiss made her glow.
Love was everywhere,
sweet flowers filled the air.
That day there was no snow,
the warm sand covered a toe.
Her blue eyes and blond hair,
with that yellow dress she wore with flare.
July 4th was a big show,
they said I do with a playing banjo.
A beautiful white dress she did wear,
a heavenly day brought him a tear.
The Wedding Prayer
Your hand I hold,
your ring I place,
our future dreams to unfold.
I see you there,
all gowned in white,
our union we will share.
I pray my Lord,
this bond we hold,
will keep until we get old.
Past chapel fair,
past garden grounds,
our marriage we declare.
And if in sickness,
we cannot be as one,
being by each other’s side,
we preseve our love,
cherishing memories,
and to each other still abide.

If only I had never met him!
I would still be in Chicago, afraid to say how I truly felt.
Yet, it got my family to heights, with cards we never were ever dealt.
I was raised to be a quiet, obedient child.
But he got me out of my warm, comfort zone.
And elope to the West Coast, which became our home.
I felt as though I were on another planet!
Poets, artists, musicians, did not have closed minds.
But were open to ideas, most would never abide.
Eloping in a blizzard at eighteen years of age!
Having high hopes and dreams was our intoxication.
Wanting to have no part of the conformist nation.
So many great people, he brought into our life.
Today our wedding anniversary, sixty- four years!
You died at thirty, our memories never washed away by tears.
Just wanted to say, thank you, I still love you, my dear.
And being able to use a poetic pen, without guilt or fear!
You freed me from the that jail, called “conformity.”
That nowhere place, hallmarks still..humanity. You
Love you forever,
Panagiota
