A cabin in Tennessee
A chalet on Lake Annecy
Sunsets in colors so bright
A wood stove that's nice and warm
During those big snowstorms
Loving you all through the night
Pink sands and turquoise seas
Baccarat on the breeze
Holding hands, stealing a kiss
Art museums, living dreams
Behind you inside moonbeams
Klimt made a painting like this
Always your troubadour
Always, forevermore
Always I've had you in view
All of the words and odes
All of the songs composed
Always were always for you
One guitar with four hands
Reading off the same stand
I doubt that we'll play very long
There's much more we have to say
Let's put that guitar away
And make our own sweet new love song
Always your troubadour
Always, forevermore
Always I've had you in view
All of the words and odes
All of the songs composed
Always were always for you
It sure was fun to write these
Each and every day
Nine hundred posts here not for you
That's quite a few I'd say
"Then who", you'd ask, "was meant to be
The subject of all these?
Andres, were they really for
Some lady overseas?"
And I would say to you, "My dear,
For her they were indeed!
Now tell me, do you like it living
There on Lake Annecy?"
As long as ink is in my pen
I'll write bouquets galore
And post them for you while you sleep
"Bonjour, mon amour"
I love you Bluebird, stay inside
I hope that someday we can glide
And soar above the earth below
Take me with you, I will go
Land wherever, I won't care
As long as I am with you there
I have so much I want to share
And I will love you anywhere
From Avonlea to Lake Annecy
From letter A to letter Z
What you want is fine by me
And where you are, there I will be
Preferably physically
Perhaps though only mentally
Two hearts, one mentality
I'll love you for eternity...
I will
Once upon a time
In a land not far away
Two people started playing
One hoped for a someday
He'd met his perfect pardner
With her he saw himself
He realized that he loved her
But kept it in on the shelf
Then one day he told her
Of a dream he'd had by chance
He played guitar, she sang a song
It was all about romance
A picnic in a meadow
A place called Lake Annecy
*He proposed to her at sunset
And there she married me*
*The part he never told her
All my dreams of you are sweet
With no one else do you compete
You stand alone I here declare
With no one else do you compare
We'll write our songs both night and day
With no one else I'd rather play
I want to visit Lake Annecy
With no one else, just you and me
A rustic cabin in the woods
With no one else, you pick the books
A private beachfront getaway
With no one else, let's leave today
A flute of frosty Veuve Clicquot
With no one else but you, you know?
A fluffy quilt, soft satin sheets
With no one else, just us beneath
My favorite comfy, cozy chair
With no one else, just us in there
These and more with only you
With no one else I'd want to do
I love you little Bluebird
Incredible you are
I hope someday to marry you
I'll wish upon that star
Down on one knee I'll ask you
If you would take my hand
And turn that ring of promise
Into a wedding band
We'll walk the aisle, no drama
Cowboy boots you'll wear
And I will be in denim jeans
And I'll still have long hair
And then it's off to Paris!
A chalet at Lake Annecy
To live the dream that I first had
Of France with you and me
I still love you with a love that goes beyond description
A love so full of passion that on my arm there's now inscription
It started on a day when I saw you on the stage
And ever since I'd look for times to get you to engage
In any conversation, any subject did comprise
To serve my real, true purposes, to hear your voice and see your eyes
Looking back into my own when you then spoke to me
While inside my heart was beating through my chest, good thing you couldn't see
Little did you know although through inkling it did seem
Until the day I told you that I had had a dream
A dream of us together, sitting in a park
Singing songs and drinking wine, a picnic until dark
Right near a lake with mountains, no thought where it could be
But then one night I browsed the net and saw it, Lake Annecy
And even now I still have dreams that you and I are there
Looking down from verdant hills as the world goes by somewhere
Please don't leave me sweetheart
I don't know what I'll do
I'll be good I promise
I won't write those for you
I want to know your schedule
And tell you what I do
I want to write you poems
That speak of my love true
I want to play you love songs
Sans words, just from my heart
I want to dream of Annecy
Where we'd never be apart
I want to still do crosswords
My pardner, tried and true
I need your downs to help me
I won't do them without you
I want to have our book club
To share our thoughts and run
Down literary pathways
Together, two as one
I want to be your right hand
In everything you do
In worship, projects, everything
I'll be there for you
All to say I love you
And for you do I long
I just can't seem to help it
You've become my heart's love song
Parlez-vous Français?
No, but I wish I did
Then it would be much easier
If ever we did live
In Annecy or perhaps Provence
Or somewhere in the Alps of France
I'd love you often, all day long
Serenade you with French love songs
Evenings in Paris, the city aglow
Stroll Champs Elysees at a pace that is slow
And unhurried, why rush? It's only us two
In the City of Love, where all things are new
And how honored I'd be to be walking around
With you on my arm, the talk of the town
Sing for me bluebird
I love your voice
I love you too
And I so rejoice
In thinking one day
You will take me away
On your wings I will ride
To our Annecy chalet
Play for me troubador
Skillfully on the strings
New melodies each morning
Never knowing what love brings
Dreaming of the one day
When we can fly away
Together hand in hand
To our Annecy chalet
Open up the Veuve Clicquot
Only the best will do
I don't like faux anything
When it comes to you
Real Irish sweater
Real hardcover book
Real thoughts in letter
Real Martin Brooke
Real chateau, Lake Annecy
Only the best will do
I don't do faux anything
When it comes to you
Like a moonbeam on a starless night piercing through the dark
A beacon bright as sunshine lighting pathways to embark
On a journey far across the sea
For a quiet picnic in Annecy
With a glass of wine and my guitar
I'd play you Lauro one through four
And long after the last refrain
Still my song it would remain
And just to show you what I would do
I'd drink a glass of milk for you
