Dozen divers delicately drop dinner,
Diving dolphins, dash, dart... devour delicious discovery.
Dolphins delightfully dance.
Divers decide dolphins deserve dessert,
Dolphins dig deep dividing delights.
Don't distract!

The sneaky, slimy, slithering, squirming snake silently sat shamefully,
Stupendously-stumped.
The seated, sizzling, sneaky, slimy, slithering serpent still stupendously-stumped,
Squirmed slowly searching signaling scents.
With no stopping the squirming, silently-sneaky, slithering, shamefully-stumped serpent searching sign, the snake slithers sizzling surround sound.
Only with punishment, the slithering, slimy, silent, shamefully-stumped serpent stops sin-searching.
Now, be a bumble bee, buzzling big bumble bubbles and not a sneaky, slimy, squirmy, sin-searching, soul-scary, shamefully-stumped surround sound serpent-sizzling, sazzling, skimmed-scaled snake..•
Cunning cuckoo, craftily creeping,
Cackling, cawing, constantly cheating!
Clocks keep clanging, chiming, churning,
Cuckoo’s call--chaotic, concerning!
Cranky critters, clueless, confused,
Chased the cheater--cleverly bruised!
Cuckoo, chuckling, cheekily flew,
Claiming nests like cuckoos do!
Wouldn’t trust that cuckoo chap--
Crafty con artist with a claptrap trap!
bumblebee bertie
belongs beyond begonias
buzzing beautifully
henrietta’s hippo had a habit
hopping happily in a tutu like a rabbit
with a twirl and a spin
she’d giggle and grin
leaving the crowd clapping madly out of habit
At popular Pennsylvania State Fair,
ponies were preparing for prissy pony pageant,
promenading ponies' pretty polished hooves,
parading promoter, Percival Poppycock,
promised prize-
pauses, perplexed,
as Penelope Percheron,
a primping draft horse,
prances into pavilion,
petite ponies patter,
prima donna Penelope presents
perfumed self,
pricey pink ribbons, pearly teeth,
panache!
Prestigious panel of judges
promptly present Penelope as
"Princess Pony",
she pirouettes, pulverizes display
of plentiful pumpkins,
pummeling stands,
pure pandemonium,
people, popcorn, peanuts everywhere,
Penelope picks herself up,
proceeds with precious Princess Pony prize,
proudly preening,
positively pompous!

For friends and folks of foolish forests' frogs!
Darkness deals with your dusty dirty wares,
Shadows shine, shimmering in sheering sears,
Stars twinkle topmost on the tossing trees,
To crisply cuddle the blistering breeze.
Fearless forests friends forbid foolish spies,
Listen long, lively laughter lifts no lies,
Even evenings eager to call you fools,
And shame the sour scents of your playing pools.
Ban any boot of blame from your long legs,
Many mysterious mouths mock your eggs,
Hidden hearts hum horrible haunting hymns,
While their fears for you fret on fragile limbs.
Godly ghosts guests fought fetish friends and folks,
Fresh fears then froze your frantic frenzy croaks,
Marring you from making mendacious cry,
While waiting where the worst will walk you by.
Connor Constrictor
crept through the carpet.
Marianne Marmot
marched through the market
singing, “Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Boys and girls join in singing,
“Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Tutu Toucan
turned to and fro
while Wally Walrus
watched in slow mo.
Singing, “Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Boys and girls join in singing,
“Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Kami Chameleon
chewed a crumpet
and Tommy Tortoise
tuned up his trumpet
playing, “Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Boys and girls join in singing,
“Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
All the animals
clamored for more,
more of the funny
musical score
singing, “Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
Boys and girls join in singing,
“Hi hey hi hey hi hey ho!”
A dauntless dachshund was my darling dog.
He was charmed to chase the cavorting frog.
He always ran and romped with great agility ,
For sniffing and smelling mice, he had a special ability.
He was rock black in shade and was very bold.
He stayed loyal and lively and never grew old.
His swaddling gait and swiveling move,
Brought much joy. From life, all boredom he did remove.
Safeguarded and shielded our home with a surveilling eye.
Lazily loitered with us under the lulling evening sky.
His sparkling starry eyes shone with joyful delight.
He sought snuggles and cuddles as if they were his right.
Sad, one day, our darling dachshund for ever departed.
Dropping his doggy duties, from us, he silently parted.
The memory of the magical moments he gave, merrily stays.
A faithful friend who gave us funny and festive days!
I walk through the woods of words
sentences seep as melting snow into
rushing rivers of chime and rhyme
adventurous animals arch with alliteration
with some nibbling on letter leaves
I chase leaping lizards who hide limericks
irises ignite and inspire my imagination
while their colors blaze on muse mountains
pansies provide me petals of the poems
poppies pop puzzled punctuation to me
meaningful moon mediates with metaphors
sun streaks and peaks with symbol stanzas
clouds clap communication to me
now home I type like butterflies in flight...
April 12th 2015
Sunlight spills on sprightly steeds,
Spring's sweet song stirs sleeping seeds.
Spirited stallions, sleek and swift,
Sashaying through the springtime mist.
Silken shadows shift and sway,
In the serene, splendid break of day.
Three thoroughbreds rambunctiously thrive,
Their thunderous thumps come alive.
Pastures painted in subtle shades of green,
Outstretched playground, pure and pristine.
Playful prancing, powerful paces,
Pleasure painted on their faces.
Celebrating, chasing, carefree,
Cascading manes, wild and free.
In the cozy, comforting light,
Spring's splendor shines so bright.
Frolicking freely, feeling fine,
For this trine, dazzling day so divine.
Eternal energy, ever so spry,
Beneath the vast, vibrant sky.
Dotty doggy duo, daily derring-do,
descending leaves decorating yard,
Beau-black as coal,
brown-eyed batty Gus,
barking brazenly, bounding,
both bonkers?
a boisterous, "You betcha!"
Kings of calamity-
canines of chaos,
squirrels scurry for sweet sanity,
scolding silver September
acorn gatherers,
sedulously seeking sedatives!
crone control your dragon dragging it's claw
crone your claw dragging too… dragons two
both of you, yes, you anger it's fire to flame
crone soothe your dragon its deep scaly skin
crone your scaly skin too… soothing dragons
“Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam …” —Dr Brewster M Higley VI
Oh, give me a home ...
where the big bison bellow,
bellowing in beautiful
bucolic backgrounds,
backgrounds begging
backpackers beware,
beware of being beset by
big bison bellowing!
Beset by a bison?
Bison basics best behavior—
Better to back up bovine-like
than be busted up by a bison
Better believe it!
