Afraid but totally, to be unsupported,
With not posting, the poetess cavorted!
Till a blythe, joyful spirit appeared,
Allaying all those ghostly fears to disappear!
With that, she penned with saisfacction .
Not even a broken hearft, coud halt her traction!

Sun’s rays have weakened lately. Cool winds blow,
Effectively allaying summer heat.
Perhaps fall lovers should be patient, though.
There’ll be more hot days. Summer’s not complete.
Enthusiasm reigns on Labor Day.
Most backyard chefs are firing up the grills.
Because it’s summer’s “last hurrah,” some say,
Each fan of hot days relishes these thrills.
Responses to the end of summer range
From great elation to a sense of pall.
Autumnal coolness, each expected change,
Leaves turning red and gold~~I love it all!
Let every season reap admirers’ praise,
Since each possesses unique winning ways.

In the warmth of your smile,
Crystal vibes radiate, calming my soul.
Your gentle eyes, a haven for me,
Infatuating, yet serene, setting me free.
Allaying fears of losing you, I hold tight,
In the cage of my heart, where love shines bright.
You're locked in my embrace, forever safe,
Cherished moments, an eternal escape.
In dreams, your presence trespasses,
Relishing moments, forever caressed.
My love for you is unfathomable and deep,
Eternal and soothing, a peaceful sleep.

Drained of creativity,
Finding nothing left to say!
Sorrowful of world events,
Returning to packing for chaos.
Saving what I can.
Universal sanity,
Is coming to an end!
No one sees the gathering clouds,
Or at least,
Cannot say out loud.
Living in harmony,
Has just passed!
Peace will not last.
Only understanding,
That each person has a strength.
Relishing the positives,
At length!
Finding the common ground,
Moving thoughts around.
Sharing many ideas,
Results in allaying fears.
Destroying the chaos we create,
Making room for thoughts to wake!
Finding solutions,
That will not forsake,
The humanity we've left behind!
On dust heaps and wars,
Hatred of a kind,
That leaves us drained,
And full of disgust.
For all the horror,
We have created,
Being sorrowful is a bit belated!

From Monsoon clouds, rain descends in shrouds,
Thunder and Lightning, in fear we are enshrouded,
When rain bids adieu, Sun's glow reappears,
Rainbow graces the skies, allaying our fears.
Birds serenade, while the rainbow stands tall,
Nature's artistry praised by one and all,
Twists and turns, events nature confides,
A dance of elements, where wonder abides.
When one is in love, world seems to be a lovely place,
When one is alone, world seems to be a lonely place,
When quarantined due to pandemics, world seems to be an isolated place,
When social activities flourish, world becomes a habitable place,
This is a twist and turn event in which social desires take place.
When you succeed, joy prevails,
When you lose, agony awaits,
When you are pessimistic, gloom prevails,
When you are optimistic, happiness awaits,
This is a twist and turn event of survival, life anticipates.
Countless life's events, shape where we strive,
Embrace optimism, for sunbeams will arrive.

Come, consider his story,
People not used to fear.
He tells a tale
And we entrust him,
But he and his kind,
We simply disgust them.
Prosaic dupes,
(We’re quite the fools)
Praise God as he goes on
And on . . .
. . . and on he tells of glory,
Battles won - in time.
Salute the flagged boxes,
There’s no disagreeing.
Trust in his word.
Praise to his being.
Dim-witted lot,
(We’re quite the fools)
Blood-letting assaults for days
And days . . .
. . . and days transform to years,
Numb to a fall from grace.
Treacherous idols,
Allaying fears
Between each smile,
Count souvenirs.
Addlebrained chumps
(We’re quite the fools)
Selling our souls for a penny a pound.

i’ve seen among the shadows
in the corner of my eye
a foreboding melancholy
ever present pure and nigh
upon forseen inception
came the beast without respect
laying claim to all emotions
pouring darkness down my neck
clouds of memories will float
inside of distraught dreams
allaying but for precious breaths
the pain of tortured screams
a prayer for those who suffer hell
from loss of man or wife
for these poor souls bear misfortunes
taxing sojourns throughout life

Kohl is nightfall when bright hours decrease
Etching the silhouette of trees ;
Beneath drooped willows, grief ‘s ache unravels
A mourning in fallow shade
Twisted as petals, cold:
How endings throb again again
Without his blossoms for our sky;
That gushing out into soft rain
Lamentation is my reply .
Murmurs of branches
Deepen a caressing tune,
Allaying eve’s wail
Still, crystal leaves pour on grounds
Misty like fluid tears… ebbing.

Midnight breezes echo a snuffed demise from this lament ,
While time hangs amidst moments on pale skies from this lament.
A lone ibis drifts on weeds reflecting my emptiness
When summer dreams grow dull through ashen eyes from this lament...
How bitter this grief of a mother stripped by innocence--
To touch to nestle a child without cries from this lament.
I recall laughter shared before eve’s veil wrapped my babe , cold :
Now , plush dawn gives way to angst of goodbyes from this lament.
And each bursting tear stains a frock I wear to memorize
The hour I closed life and prayed for what’s wise from this lament.
Till a little voice hums like a cherub across moon’s view
Allaying glum heart taming breath which sighs from this lament.

I like many others have lived in our dreams
In this world where I lived amongst forests and streams
Where the Great Plains stretched and our rivers flowed
If you could see through my eyes, how my tribe glowed
Born from my mother of Arikara descent
My father a Sioux warrior, his stature, augment
My growing up was no different than the others around
For the learnings that grew from our ancestors surround
Hunting and fishing, being told of the dangers in life
Cultural indifferences, to fearing tribal strife
But it's what my father taught me every single day
To learn from our lands for through the years they'd display
Tracking, seeking, searching, living from our lands
Every year more learned, growing in understand
From a boy to a man becoming a warrior through my years
Protecting what was ours, allaying modern fears
But the changes that we faced, suffocated our souls
There was only ever one outcome, other man's goals
I like many others, to live and eventually fall
Born from Arikara, Sioux, my name was 'Standing Tall'
..
A little story from my heart, where the Indigenous will always be.

Old Roxie is dead. She's gone to her bed
Near the drop-off where leaves are decaying.
Yet she rises again from that terrible fen
In a manner grotesque and dismaying.
The grave that we dug, although tidy and snug,
Was too shallow for her to be laying.
So the volatile gas that shot from her ass
(Excuse me for vulgarly saying)
Overexcited, spontaneously ignited
And created a monstrous spraying!
The guts and the hide were strewn far and wide,
Festooning the branches, displaying
Those rotting remains and even the brains
Of her corpse. The crows are buffeting!
There's no consolation for miscalculation,
No comforting words for allaying
Our grief and chagrin for committing the sin
Of the mess for which now we are paying.

Stillness envelops me now
Wishing I could hear your whispers
But mortar shells rattled my ears
From air raids on the battle front
Constant blasts pierce anvil and hammer
Leaving me deafened through echoes of night.
My return leaves you waiting among flowers
Allaying fears and speaking through warm eyes
I go damn , damn to those who harken your calls
Like sweet pitch of birdsongs playing on those lips
Whipping gently on my furrowed chest
As my heart listens to the tap of your touch.
And the swish, rumble , purr of your skirt
Cascade with the usual morning breeze
Remembering how we moaned on our first kiss
Where l howled at evening’s sweet chorale
Now, we lay on the sheets of moonlit grass
But the silent code between us wakes me up.

Grassy verged mounds
On a country roadside grace
Where a canopy of browns
Declare autumn in place
The branches rise
While winter nears
As if they were praising the sun
Allaying their fears
For after their fall
Another colour may grace
In crystal form
And the lands will embrace
The whitening ices
Grounds barren to white
Crisp starry skies
Like sparkling lights
With a flick of her switch
She turn spring on
As the buds appear
Singing a totally new song
Through the bright months they grow
As the temperature warms
Natures miracles
In all shapes and forms
Our smiles get wider
As the summer blooms
Fragrances aplenty
Like scented perfumes
And here we are
It's autumn again
The seasons like great symphonies
Always proud and replaying
