They giggle upright, albright, these days
They are doing quite well
And wellness is not an overnight cameo
Or a clearance clothing deal
Some are awakened, some are healed
Some are some over maidens in a mending
meant mending around normal and Bloomington
They all meant Tora, a wishing well
To bring back the bird hoodhood, again!

Attitude Determines My Day
Miracle Man
3/7/2023
My day always starts out Robin Egg Blue,
But soon life’s nagging problems will ensue.
I begin each day running in high gear,
but I quickly slow as dark clouds appear.
Pleasant things in life I have oft looked past,
to the raspier I'm bound, hard and fast.
Sometimes I think, I ‘ll recall forever,
but these thoughts from my past I must sever,
“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems,
but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort”.
Herm Albright
Late trailblazing top American diplomat, Madeleine Albright
Possessed a steely resolve and was exceptionally bright
Political giant and the first female U.S. Secretary of State
Czech-born, she was but a shiny spoke on the wheel of fate
Date written: 03/26/2022
Albright left our earthly night
To a place where women help each other
Be she minister, president or mother
Be she feeble or has might
She misspoke it was not woke:
Those who’ll help you not
Woman to woman may you rot
Deplorable folk
In hell’s very special place
She rephrased and made it positive:
Women who help women shine
A star through any haze
All bright as she did live
And drink sweet angels’ wine
Art of Ivan Albright
I hear a death rattle
feel gloom
despise grayscale-ness
flat black paint kind of background
lecherous guy
creepy skeletal hands
craggy face
shirt looks dingy, dirty, smudged
tablecloth is dank, dour, dusty,
grays and blacks, morose, macabre
I run from his art, screaming pink and orange.
People are murdered, yes, but no one was murdered here today.
People are mean.
Not always.
People are unfair, unkind, disrespectful.
Who are you hanging around with?
Let’s think a bit about what Albright said.
We can choose to be upbeat, positive, happy.
We can strive toward enthusiasm, happiness, hope.
Cut those people loose. You can do better!
Let’s take a walk. Feel the sunshine? See the happy dandelions?
There goes a squirrel who is delighted with the bird feeder.
Who could dream up anything perkier than that daffodil?
Have you ever seen a more refreshing green?
How are you feeling?
I am feeling depressed, down, dank, dark.
What is going on?
I don’t have any friends like you. I don’t know how to have joy.
Stick with me, kid. I am here to reteach. Look at that sky!
How do you do that? She asks me.
Do what?
Remain positive.
I think for a second, then I reply. “I focus on positive things.”
She is silent for a few steps. Then she asks “That’s it?”
“Try it,” I tell her. “It is enough.”
In Her coffin
Miss Amelia Albright
glowed like a nightlight.
Her perfumes:
Ambergris, the testicular glands
of musk deer and rat. Extract
of Angelica,
were all buried with her.
A distinctive and troubling miasma.
One darkly attired mourner
parted his lips only to gag, mid-splutter.
The frail priest fell to his knees,
beseeching Holy Jesus
and his Mother.
Pure soul to the end,
(thank God and all his Saints),
she, with no hint of pique,
or complaint,
was not directed down to hell
for not even the devil himself
could withstand that smell.
Thus it was that Amelia,
transported on the shoulders
of strong stomached men,
stank all the way to heaven
and hell, and back again.
Big Bore in Bora Bora
Saw lovely lady called incredible Dora
Who was met by me in Bora Bora
The biggest bore I must have been;
Didn't want to see me again.
Now a new poem you can begin
Even if written by women or men
Why think of selling someone short
Other women should offer support.
All right with Albright.
