Affluent Poems | Examples

A painting without a name

I'm unsure of an image popping up in my head
A dot locates alongside a crowd, with a space reserve
Until now, of its decay from the fresh dark to pale light
Which has been started the image once begun to alive

It's been never so sure of that the disparity remained
As a balanced attraction and repulsion needed in-between
It's made affluent independence when the heart flies
Also, so much loneliness if solitude surpassed the edge

I now disclose this picture to let it to be identified
How is it genuine or illusionary generated in rubbish time

Citizen John

Am I a foul fellow when the house is longer than this morning? Am I the designer of the living room that doesn’t encourage formality, because we’re associated with rigid boundaries? I’m the next citizen of an affluent hovel. I’ll be the next coastal lowland along any gulf & hearing your voice, pattering on every rooftop, I cover all the island-dotted lakes with your shadow. Somewhere within, a breath produces vapour, making the sauna feel even hotter. Now if my shop doesn’t pay you, it means my family goes hungry. No public property is written off here. You’re the capital of these floating islands, a nice account in the only bank here, you can take my people for a holiday to May Isle. I get a bit of capital, nothing is your own, is it? It’s for her, my daughter in a white mask.

Third day of CNY

2025.1.31
Third and final formal celebration day.
Three main days of CNY,
Have peacefully enjoyed by many Chinese.
The affluent people will continue
Celebrate upto 14 days.
The red packets, AngPao or lixi
Will be given out to friends and distance relatives.
I had given two to BB,
I believe he is single and still available.
This Sunday, the Lions dances
Will be demonstrated in the Melbourne CBD.
The Fortune tellers, palm readers, caligraphor,
And many others will be there,
The traditional New Year Chinese songs and dances
Are the entertainments of the event.
Arts and Crafts, food and drinks
Will be available for people to gain energy.
Happy Chinese New Year.
May everyone be safe, happy, healthy and has lot of money in the year of Snake.

Never Give Up
Miracle Man
11/20/2024

Each person is given
an allotted time from birth,
We use this time, dubbed life,
trying to prove our worth.

Many will become famous
accomplishing great things,
While the disadvantaged
dreams of living like kings.

Many face daily laboring
in the days scorching heat,
Grubbing out an existence
without shoes on their feet.

While the affluent thinks daily
of a menu’s choice of meat,
The impoverished is questioning
whether or not they will eat.

Each person does the things
of which they’ve been made able,
While one dines like a king
the other, crumbs from his table.

But each is held responsible
for the things in their cup,
Many can no longer persevere
and just simply give up.

Premium Memberjaspers clandestine occupation

we always thought
Jasper’s occupation was clandestine
He works in Chicago and Miamai
where gangsters work, right?
So is he a mobster?
He dresses like one, all in black.
We dared not ask him what he did for a living.
Having no idea he was in commodities
Legal gambling for the affluent.

Premium MemberThe faint smile

                                   Thoughtful but seldom happy
                                Feigned by concerns and craving
                                Reigned by dishonor and shame
                                Ridden with regret and remorse
                                 Seething with paucity and pain
                               Battered by unreturned hard work
                                      Helplessness writ large
                                    O poor! sorrow and slight
                                           Are your destiny.

                                    But, be straight and upright
                                           You are not alone
                                Those calling themselves affluent
                                  Confined in their ivory towers
                                 Depressed, jealous and worried
                              Riddled with insecurity and mistrust
                                       With chronic illnesses
                                        Counting their days
                                    Are million times unhappy

Premium MemberNazarene

Mingled with the rural soil of Nazareth, he laboured
He played with the rustics, who were quarrelsome yet loving.
Farmers, carpenters, ironsmiths, weavers, and the shepherd
These were teachers from whom wisdom, like clear streams, flowed, gushing

He pondered along the coast of the Sea of Galilee.
Where the breeze amalgamated with saline sea scent blew
Where fishermen's strife had been a daily reality
In him, the friendliness of the sea folks, day by day, grew.

He found the philosophies and theologies of books
Put into practice by the Rustics in thoughts, words, and deeds
The affluent, on the other hand, seemed cunning and crooks.
Nature held them all in equipollence, mending their creeds.

Each herb, shrub, plant, tree, bloom, fruit, and weed imparted him wisdom.
He drew, by his love, each creature towards Abba's kingdom.

The Beheaded

I go to bed at three,
I usually wait beneath the plum tree,
That tree is useless like my name,
You and I are in a blissful game!

You are too sweet for me,
Never lived inside me as if you were a great flea,
You are too weak for me,
Never spent a day without thinking of me!

But do you care who I am?
Do you know what it means to be my charm?
Are you my affluent appetite?
I am never your desired guide.

I am the master of manners to you,
I was not willing to sacrifice my mind for you,
You are always ready to make a voyage with me,
I never think of you that we can be a cherished memory.

My coffee never turns cold when you are sitting beside me,
Sleep tight until the sun rises in your daydream,
You do not need to discern what's inside my head,
I am on another trip just before you wake up and call me the beheaded.

Premium MemberThe Day My Lover Left

A spiritual sickness enveloped my stagnant heart.
I searched for her in darkened obscure visions,
A futile illusory chase that led to a desert of love.
Had I become addicted to her presence?

Deep in my heart, I knew that all was distorted.
I wondered if I really loved her,
Yet I could not bear the loss, knowing her as I did.
Finally, she disappeared from circulation,
It left my strength sapped from a wide goose chase.

Life trickled by slowly, as I lost my job, wasted my money,
Rendering my situation an almost irreparable ruin and loss.
Looking back, recollecting my bad choices
It took me some time to discern the inevitable damage
That rendered my skeletal life beyond repair.

Could I renew and restore my affluent fortunes?
Life had its ups and downs, like desert dunes.
All I needed was a fertile oasis. Walking on the hot sand
Was painful but I had to try. I began my journey anew.
Will I ever learn? Who knows? One can only hope.
After all, the desert is never endless though it may seem so.

Premium MemberWith Eyes Stained In Blood

He smiled with eyes stained in blood,
there was intrigue without a word;
The stranger pounded my head,
soft walls left with a grisly splatter;

There was intrigue without a word,
so stunning his silent melody;
Soft walls left with a grisly splatter,
a haunting vision of timeless art;

So stunning his silent melody,
vibrations run right through me;
A haunting vision of timeless art
dances on the curve of his lips;

Vibrations run right through me;
Affluent history of being a vampire
dances on the curve of his lips;
Fangs hang onto the moonlight;

Affluent history of being a vampire,
the stranger pounded my head;
Fangs hang onto the moonlight,
he smiled with eyes stained in blood.

If it wasn't for poetry

“Poetry allows the poet to give vent to rage
and despair in words, instead of action.” ~ by poet

Oh, you don’t wanna know
what it would be like
if it wasn't for poetry.

Living this life would be unbearable,
The false preaching of the pompous priests
The false promises of the crooked politicians
The false hopes of the cheating charlatans.

Whenever I am disillusioned
and my heart aches at the wickedness of man,
I sit down to write poetry
to lessen the pain.

Looking at the wretched condition
of the downtrodden and
the hedonistic lifestyle of the affluent,
the pent-up rage in me is ever raring
to burst forth and burn the world down…
if it wasn’t for poetry!

The Most Inescapable Desideratum

I will wait for your soft, curled vines,
The fake cascade causes tiny, unspecified water droplets to flow over it.
I will not wait for you to be a destined no man's land,
Nobody could allow you to be begotten by the tiny spikes.

I will wait for your buttery redemption,
With every penance, there is the rise of a new dawn.
Your sighs and sorrows are a tree full of grey leaves,
Except you, nobody can ever discern how thin the pinnacle of your chin is.

Is the river Life an overflowing drain to you?
Does the water flow like a train passing through narrow tunnels?
Is this river filled with empty sirens?
Or are they merely whispers in the language of our gurgles?

Nobody could define your silky cotton mood so well,
I misunderstood your appearance, as tattooed arms seem to be.
I want to rely on your ever-driven heart,
Just as a consummate river flows, bearing no dirt.

Is this river a phase?
Or is it just a stage?
You are the most inescapable desideratum to me,
And I am certainly conceded as an affluent hoarder.

VESSEL SANK

           Sea wasn't turbulent.
           Wonderful largest liner
            floated just safely.
             Luxurious cruise started.
             Tension-free vessel
              took affluent passengers
             in joyful voyage.
              Suddenly it was hit by
               a hidden ice berg.
               Rush of water flow flooded
               deck causing ship wreck.
               To accommodate each one,
                not enough life boats.
                Signal claiming help didn't work.
                Captain Smith only
prayed in vain till his last breathe.
               Titanic just sank .
Helpless souls in mass to face
                 tragic destined death.
                Ship Carpathia sent to
                rescue, reached too late.
              Weeping women and children.
              to be carried by
few life boats that still floating.
            Carpathia sighed.
             No trace of Titanic seen.
