the sun the wind the freedom
as surface childish passions
the urge to be adventuresome
expectation of lollipop rations
nothing holds me back
when i hear summer’s call
you’ll laugh at the silly jokes i crack
while swinging high and tall
i squint my eyes
and look up at the skies
youth seeming omnipresent
timeless and filled with wonderment

Looking at the clouds turning to pale
In this late afternoon film
My mind wander like a lonely kite
Floating soaring to the wind
I sit here in a big stone a lonely prince
Observing the sleepy sun to set
Life is temporal, yet you have to strive
Keeping yourself intact for tomorrow's fate
Though life is tough and adventuresome
I still see and I pass people smiling
This affect me more inside like sparkling light
Always hopeful and optimistic that one day
Good things comes my way at the right time.

Three adventuresome triplets were challenging the forest of the fey
When the sky turned to night, and the regular colors turned away.
A psychedelic hue came upon everything they saw including them.
Neon purples and turquoises changed every mushroom leaf and limb.
There she is, said Weewee, the leader of the triplet three.
Indeed, she was, right in front of them, the Goddess Missy Mee.
In the form of a giant jellyfish, as promised by the prophecy.
It is as the soothsayer told us, said Weewee’s sister Twee.
Their brother Bart was terrified, he hid his eyes under his cloak.
They were overcome with snickering from an overbearing oak.
It’s not nice to make fun of people, Weewee said to the tree.
I was laughing at something else he said, “Please excuse me.”
Goddess Missy Mee gave them some ideas, put them into their head.
Let them wander around, thinking about them, before they went to bed.
Utilized these ideas when they grew up, converted others thoughts too.
Many journeyed out here to see Missy Mee, I was one of ninety-two.

adventuresome kitty cat
materializes at other edge of my driveway
brave to venture in this dog-infested yard
mostly white with caramel face and tail
she stops and stares
startled I am there
because I am silent
I make no moves
the pony dogs are no where in sight
God must be on this creatures side
neither shows up
I know they are out here somewhere
do they not smell or sense this interloper?
she prances up the hill toward the street
I imagine the dogs will give chase
Seconds later they chase each other back to me
from the other side of the house
that cat must have some powerful guardian angels

Tuesday of last week was humdrum said Cap
I had to take a luxurious old person’s nap
Boredom put me down hard, I reposed in a stream
Ready for an exciting adventuresome dream
My body loved it so much, he wanted another
But alas, I was awakened by my hundred-year-old-mother
Did you feed the chickens? The horses? The sheep?
I had to leave my castle and surrender my sleep.

Strolling through the meadow in early spring
Butterflies and honeybees are arriving,
Fresh growth appearing on all the perennials
Clearly the natural undergrowth is thriving,
Promising shelter for the smallest creatures
Perfect wildlife sanctuary in my neighborhood,
I spot some adventuresome critters about
Think about Mother Nature, and how she is good.
Some new fencing, I thought might be trouble
Isn’t interfering with the movement of wildlife,
The pathway I choose has not been blocked
There is much evidence of healthy loosestrife,
To my sweet meadow new birds have flocked
Such a glorious place cannot be overstocked.

Battles waged on foreign shore
Brave soldier tis no more
Young adventuresome lad
Relinquished valor all he had
Engraved script, chiseled track
Humble words on ebon plaque
“Here he lay, this noble knave
Honorable tis life he gave”
Danced on edge of sword
Freedom an ultimate reward
Somber elegy, tethered to stone
Countryman’s name unknown
Tattered flag proudly wave
Lofty wafts upon a grave
Glorify red, white and blue
Call of duty heroes ensue

Strong and bright
A shining light
That's my precious girl
Mediating every fight
With her mature sight
That's my peacemaker girl
Curls so tight
Her fun style to delight
That's my beautiful girl
Learning what might
Help her take flight
That's my adventuresome girl
Has great insight
Usually right
That's my intuitive girl
She'll go to the highest height
To see the moonlight
That's my nature loving girl
I wanted to write this poem tonight
So she would always know she's my sunlight,
earthlight, moonlight, my bright light
-Bella you make me happy always
Keep shining ??
Love,
Mom

Your goodliness and Godliness parades around in my head
and makes me scoff.
I used to be that way too but the devil came by with her enticing ways.
She had such a convincing spiel, I followed her gladly.
Understanding now that the sinner part of me is more fun than not.
Do you want to be stagnant? Stale? Left in the dirt?
An old maid or worse?
Your prissy ways and persnickety attitude
is going to cause you to petrify.
You will never experience the little death if you remain on this track.
Come play with me, hear the pipes? Frolic and dance; the time is ripe.
You deserve to live; eat from the fatted calf, drink some red wine.
Stop standing in the mirror of others, nurture your wanton side.
Lust and love, that’s all there is baby, and money and greed.
Let yourself have a taste of the life you crave, the good life.
They who pressure you into purity are jealous of your youth.
They want you to become moldy, green, yesterday’s bread.
Do not waste your talents, your hunger is vast
You are voluptuous, adventuresome. Taste some life my friend!
Let me help you by leading the way.....

Flower of desert
resplendent at dawn
withered at sunset
firework splendor
brightening heart
few instants
vanishing
like dew drops
are possessions
rags shed
at the gate
only covering
love hope and faith.
love being the greatest
mirroring a child's heart
carefree, adventuresome
full of fun and laughter
a jump
into arms of waiting parent
trusting is being loved
and happy to love back
but parents
in whose arms do they jump
trusting will be provided
with festive bread and wine?
Parent of all parents
to Whom belongs the past
in whose hands
the future rests
known to give the best
for happiness and health
seeds to plant and harvest
life to life restart
body of beauty and strength
to follow His sweet commands
with Sundays resting stops
to pray and reflect
on how one missed a sign
and switch on reverse
to get back on path
and reach the finish line
Paradise of playful
joyful rest
and who in truth can doubt
looking at the Crucified
His eternal love for us
His children for whom He died?

The origin of name Hispanic
from the Hebrew came Carmel meaning Garden
even On a Winter's day you will shine through you
you have an energy for the truth Good Nature
and good sense are usually companions but probably give more in a relationship then you receive
always on the move adventuresome
destined for greatness.
They can't hold you back you

Life sent us on different paths
Miles and more between us
Different circles different worlds
With time we grew apart
Life experiences incompatible
We simply no longer can relate
Less than nothing left to talk about
Yet I can’t help think back to childhood
When brother and sister we’d hang out
We’d sit and overlook the world
Dreaming up adventuresome escapades
We had so much more in common
Our love for running free
What else could possibly matter
When connecting at our inner core
At times I miss you so that I would ache
Like now when I’m on vacation
Feeling like I’m in a paradise
And there’s so much to explore
I wish so that you were here

Visionary,
I am imaginative, adventuresome, dramatic and funny,
Bob, my hubby I love, writing and birdwatching next,
ideas of mentoring new writers, teaching and dreaming,
feelings of contentment, positivity and hope,
fear of heights, monsters in my closet and being alone,
a bucket list of writing a novel, traveling and antiquing,
a resident of the Potato State,
