alternate version of my poem WISH YOU WERE HERE ~ this version is more obvious that I am referring to my brother and how we drifted apart with passing years

Life sent us on different paths Miles and more between us Different circles different worlds With time we grew apart Life experiences incompatible We simply no longer can relate Less than nothing left to talk about Yet I can’t help think back to childhood When brother and sister we’d hang out We’d sit and overlook the world Dreaming up adventuresome escapades We had so much more in common Our love for running free What else could possibly matter When connecting at our inner core At times I miss you so that I would ache Like now when I’m on vacation Feeling like I’m in a paradise And there’s so much to explore I wish so that you were here AP: 1st place 2020 Posted on June 6, 2020

This touched my heart, I too am distant from a sibling, so much water has went under that bridge to ever go back to the innocent times. if only we could go back and redo.....
