The sense of peace and silence that you bring as you are present is unlike any other.

Your golden calf
 speaks artfully in my ear
 marketing its millions of worshipers- 

 whispers of temptation to be like you-

If all life produces are idolators
from the gold calves they adore,
where are its gardeners
its realtors
its nourishers
its doctors
its listeners
its philosophers
it cleaners
its mothers
its fathers?

Sand and Starlight

Your hand touches mine, 
a tether of warmth shimmering like
starlight.
Days spill into nights, and still,
your embrace cradles me as the dawn 
unfurls,

Breach dug in doubt - fear engineers
imperfect thoughts, brave minds adhere,

Finding myself in tune
With steps in the wind blowing
My dance then to construct
And in love a face a glowing

Nymphs spellbinding in the heart
A maiden with the music they sing
I see those trees - the hues of desire
The God's look in awe dancing with wing

The muse with glee and opportunity

    A lonely scarecrow in the meadow
      never stopped a forager

    So when the sun shined down on them
      myriad wildflowers adored her

Ode to Pasta

You are the stuff my culinary dreams are made of.
Unending shapes and sizes.
From skinny linguini to the rounded orecchiette 
and squiggly fusilli.
As my tongue tastes morsels of your saucy tubular goodness,
I compose a rhyme of the ancient marinara to atone
for my over-the-top pasta love.
Stuffed, plain, buttered. Swimming in Sunday sauce.
The tastiest were those plain whites

Most radiant host, angelic glory be
Within thy blesséd grace, Portal of Faith.
In simple form You came, yet still through thee

Wild Mountain Honey

Old Mountain tales of love spin 
     'neath dawn's blush,
Elderberries, purple ink drop pearls 
     drawing me nigh.
