Mine is the School of Life

      My school has no walls
         or ‘administrators’
      No hall passes or bells

      Mine is the school of life
      ‘On-the-job training’
      without a life coach

        Every day
          a new challenge
          a rare opportunity
          a singular test or two

Walking the Tightrope

   Walking the tightrope so narrow
      Careful not to lean to either side

   Public safety over here, freedom of speech over there
      ~ In the end, administrators so damned scared

Report By End of Day

Administrators want us teachers to record anything physical that happens
This is a grade school, so a lot of physical things go down.
Throwing, hitting, punching, kicking have to be reported.
We enter it into a computer program in our spare time.

In between required meetings, classes, lunch, recess, etc.
Then we get little notes back like this valuable missive.
Did you mean throw, toss, pitch, heave, fling, or sling?
I decided that I was too busy to reply to this insanity.

'changing the World's' Stupid and Absurd

Why do rich kids grow up thinking they can change the whole world
    It's inconceivable, dishonest -- not to mention stupid, absurd

  They rarely, if ever, change their parents' or siblings' opinions
    No to mention their school-teachers' and administrators' decisions

  Confront 'em with the Truth: It's hard work, so up and at 'em
    And you'll probably have to start way down at the bottom

  But that's not appealing to rebels with 'global community' dreams
    So they protest for 'equity,' go to jail, get out and imbibe lotsa James Beam

Deliver Us From the Future

Oh, Electromagnetic spectrum,
Forgive us our transgressive Trojans,
As we forgive those who send us viruses, malware, and spam.
The configuration of wisdom starts with a simple click,
Encrypted commands obey at the flick of a switch.

Will the 30th century be fully automated,
With digital newspapers and magazines synced to our brains?
Will there be a single leader to rule the world,
Rising up to the stars and ruling other worlds?

What if IT administrators are locked out,
Three failed attempts and the human administrator is sacked.
In the year 3030, will biological intellectuals be driven underground,
For using technology that ends hunger and poverty?

Oh, Electromagnetic spectrum, give us today our daily dose of tech,
So we may spread your marvels and wonders.
Children are born with cameras and recorders in their nerves,
Every crime and sin captured and sent to the sin police for punishment.

Our eyes will glow with technology,
Nanotech releasing happy chemicals in awkward or hostile situations.
Oh, Electromagnetic spectrum, lead us not into the future,
But deliver us from the future.

Amen.

A Regressive Definition of Terrorism

They're truly dumbfounded as to why hordes of parents are pissed.
That their children are being labelled inherently racist. 
or perpetually oppressed...
When all children want to do is share a square of sand 
(no regard to the color of skin).

They're truly clueless as to why hordes of parents are pissed.
That they're children are being drilled with complicated topics of sex
When they don't even know how to spell or do simple math.

They're truly dumbfounded as to why hordes of parents are fighting back.
Against "teachers" and administrators who want to shove innocence down their dark rabbit hole of hormonal tinkering, genital mutilation and moral oblivion.

Let them grasp what a noun is before tossing funhouse pronouns at them.
let them walk a rainbow instead of constantly being slapped in the soul with a barbed version of it.
In short let them just be children... 
Fill their heads with the blossoms of literacy, kindness and respect.
Don't fill their hearts with the ball bearings of every societal tremor.

I'm dumbfounded as to why they fancy to call good-attentive parenting an act of terrorism.

If America Is To Survive

If America is to survive,
it must grow up and realize that its very
soul is very full, too full
of hate, racism, crime and disrespect for
its fellowman and its creator.
We all believe that police forces have 
only decent officers and administrators, 
but, no so and too many of those
administrators, keep looking the 
other way while the evil and bad in their forces
commit illegal acts on citizens, especially 
people of color.
Once a citizen has been injured 
or killed by a police officer or vice a versa, the injury 
lasts a lifetime, and the dead cannot 
be returned.
Presidents, governors, judges and administrators… 
Must all start looking at 
crimes committed by police officers
and citizens as criminal acts and stop looking 
the other way. Charge those who do such
things with criminal offences
and let the judges do their things without
wearing sun glasses at times.
If something is not changed very, 
very soon…look out America.
America, America, 
Now what’re you gonna do?

Death Warrants

Paying for their own execution,
the collegians trod on

Trapped inside their smart cellular phones,
in groups, but still alone

The administrators harken back,
slave owners long outlawed

And charge the most outrageous sums
for ‘knowledge’ truly flawed

The best among them dropping out,
before real harm is done

Like Gates and Jobs and Zuckerberg,
the future on the run

As zombies risen from the dead,
they march from class to class

Chasing a fatal document
—death warrants duly cast

Adaptive Adoptions

Plants conservatively propose;
people liberally dispose.

RNA organisms nature,
DNA humans nurture.

Economic environmental systems co-invest,
Ecological political systems absorb
to re-invest.

Earth bleeds cultures of health
and pathology.
Humanity feeds histories of wealth
and poverty.

Legislative economists cooperatively propose
and occasionally choose.
CEO public service administrators
competently dispose
and occasionally build cooperative WinWin ownership.

Earth natures cooperativey adapt,
Human spirits regeneratively adopt.

The Dating Game

If you like adventure you will like Match.com,
But many of them you won’t want to take home to meet your Mom.
Each guy you see is a brand new slate.
It's like an interview, looking for a potential soulmate.

Some dates have a good sense of humor and seem great,
Then some on the first date have been real cheapskates!
I’ve had some dates that I could not wait to leave,
As they whined about their ex, wearing their heart on their sleeve.

One professor met me on the first date with roses, and was so sweet.
But I discovered he had a love for his drink, and I couldn’t compete.
There have been school administrators, men in business, and sales,
Some that seem very easy-going, and some as tough as nails.

One of the most interesting by far was a farmer…
Living a country life with his animals, he was a real charmer.
There are many shysters on match too, pretending to be single,
But married… and just looking to intermingle.

There are those that are looking for money that are crooks,
That will wine you and dine you with their good looks.
To protect yourself, get a background report before you date,
Then you don’t have to wonder if you will meet an inauspicious fate.

The Decline of Tao

On the decline of Earth's balancing Way,
    The doctrines of "human ego-nature" and "eco-Yintegral harmonics" arose
When deduced knowledge and anthroprivileged cleverness appeared,
    Great hypocrisy and foolishness followed in Earth's Trimming and Tipping wake.

When the six internal-linear sequential dynamic frequencies of primal spacetime
    no longer lived with optimal confluence, harmony, and interactive peace,
    There evolved positive-deviant praise of "kind parents" and "cooperative kids."

When normative self-governance culture fell into chaos missing healthcare leadership,
    There was praise of "ecotherapeutically comprehensive ministers and systemic trauma informed administrators"
    as mutually redemptive win/win community mediators.

The Pain

A true poet knows
What is the pain of another poet!

Poem-writers don't understand the gravity.

where does
evil rest assure
but
in the hands
of our
advisors
administrators
magicians and
court jesters or
fire in the
hands of
Prometheus

If It Isn'T Broken

New administrators,
Often shooting in the dark,
Think (quite falsely) they must shake things up
So they can make their mark.

Thus they challenge well-run programs,
Up the ante, change the rules
And when bedlam follows, sure enough,
They look, to us, like fools.

In the meantime, though, we suffer,
For their efforts make things worse;
As they strut and flaunt their power,
We can only grouse or curse.

Sometimes justice will prevail
And their ideas will all be nixed,
Proving if it isn’t broken,
There’s no need to get it fixed.
