My Grandfather raised me to become a man
Standing on principles, and command respect
He often would state, “Life won’t be kind and nice, but stay tough
I won’t always be around, but listen up and take heed of my advice
Being a man takes full responsibility
A Lady wants a guy assured of himself
True Leader and not a follower
Beyond intimacy
Having standards that revolve
Moral values
Achieving is establishing
Focusing opportunity
Accomplishing in excellence of being successful
Strong in convictions
Setting a course with full force
Transformation vibe
Mirror Mirror what do you see?
A Grandfather who taught you well
Every stature being tell
Taking nothing for granted
Before my grandfather passed away, his last statement was “You are going to remember this old man”
Remembering I do, and his legacy my pursue.
Everything You Ever Loved Will Die Like It Was never There To Begin With. This is what was gifted to us at birth. That and we all get to die to someday. What the is this? Why? No one will remember me after six months. I need to be immortal.
Here's the poem.
My parents passed away ten years apart,
and both of them knew I was an alcoholic when they died.
I wish they could see me now—
happy, sober, accomplishing more in months
than I once could in years.
I’m grateful for the strength others lend me every day,
but still, a quiet sadness lingers.
A part of me will always feel I failed them.
Now, in middle age,
I finally have the chance to begin again.
I want to listen—really listen—
to make others feel seen,
to make them glad they took a moment
to share their day with me.
I want to love my brothers and sisters,
to make them feel safe and welcome
in my presence.
These are simple things,
ordinary moments of kindness and connection—
but they’re treasures I never knew
until I got sober.
Heard in so many situations,
when other words would suffice
(e.g., excuse me please)
tho' it's not a nice word
they're only trying to be nice
covering a multitude of sins
and every eventuality
accomplishing nothing nobody wins
without it and the obligatory
British cure-all cup of tea
as found in the board game
by Elizabeth J. Magie (1866 – 1948) Monopoly
somewhat similar to 'Hail Mary'
'Sorry!' seems to be
the perennial English card
to 'get out of jail free'
and if from the English language
the word from removal were to succumb
much if not most of the United Kingdom
would sadly be struck dumb
Politicians are paid as a last resort
to attend the summit accomplishing nought
but flap their lips expose their gums
feed their face and fill their tums
all the hot air they expend
I don't exaggerate
discussing climate change in the end
will only exacerbate
the ongoing problem long-since forming
a future foreboding of global warming
for every page and pamphlet printed
put in the post or stuck on walls
about ecology and saving the woods
it seems to me yet another tree in the forest falls
and I believe for every drop of acid rain
a flower dies
somewhere under the darkest skies
a new-born baby cries

All That We Dream
When George Harrison sang,
“Yesterday, today was tomorrow
And tomorrow, today will be yesterday”
He was making a simple observation
On the nature of Life as a flow
We attach our momentary labels of time.
But he could also have said this applies
To all of us simultaneously in the flow
While attaching those labels as if outside,
And that this simple shift in perspective
Is the key to liberation, at least
From the burdens of this Life’s stress and strains.
Each day we do things
And when they are done, tomorrow or the next,
We are not the same person who did them.
The beauty of this is the one planning
Is never the same as the one executing
Nor the one enjoying the result.
So plan away, aim for the stars
Take that step, take the baton
On the endless journey
The endless stream of doing
As time and being flow together
Effortlessly accomplishing all that we dream.
(9/5/25)
Lord, make of me more than I am today,
make opportunities for my life to shine.
In the shadow of the cross I long to stay,
accomplishing each task that you assign.
Lord, I ask not that my path be smooth,
but help me overcome the speed bumps of life.
For the burdens I carry only YOU can soothe,
and my day needn’t be filled with strife.
But each thing that I’ll encounter today,
is placed in my path not without cause.
Perhaps to build my faith so I won’t stray,
or merely to interrupt some unseen pause.
But whatever it is that you’d have me do,
in so doing I’ll have my thoughts on YOU.
A birth of new life
In the middle of the night
He stands still
Showered upon the earth
Bringing new hope and beginnings
Accomplishing their will
The making of curiosity
The earth's feature
Brought his mind and body on a hill
Facing my new reality can be overwhelming
I am blessed to be the mother of two sons
one of which is accomplishing great things
here on earth and the other is in heaven
I have always been proud of both of my sons,
and of course, I love them both no matter what,
but it is difficult knowing that my youngest chose
heaven instead of earth
Why is that? He was plagued by mental illness
on earth and now he is whole and at peace,
what mother wouldn't want that for their child?
Why is it causing such grief for all of us?
Because we are human, and God's ways are
sometimes hard to understand, but I am hearing him
as he tells me to "rest in me"
So, I will rest and trust and hope to eventually find peace
We can do hard things
Yes we can, we can be the better man,
or woman.
If that seat looks uncomfortable,
bring a cushion.
We do not walk alone,
our world is not so dark
We all have our superpowers
and our individual spark,
We shine and make our mark.
And it shouldn’t feel scary,
we need to embrace the journey.
Jump into joy,
express imagination and energy.
The enthusiasm we bring,
the willingness to try new things,
we are blessed,
we really should sing
Now imagine the chaos that choir would bring.
Yes ok, sometimes we do forget that important thing.
We might become insecure sometimes and cling,
Also we are masters of how to wing,
difficult situations.
But our courage,
now that could shake a nation.
Flourishing, hyperfocused, accomplishing great things.
Shut the door on the paranoia,
take a breath, rest,
let it go.
Because I promise you.
We can do hard things you know
“Each day drifts to our pile-
pray, it's stamped with a smile.”

Each waking day arrives as new-
it's up to us how well it ends.
What lies between really depends
on how we choose what we should do.
Must think about the day's value;
how every hour is used- portends
each waking day arrives as new.
It's up to us how well it ends.
We're happy when the day stays true,
accomplishing whatever lends-
to peace of mind, our choice attends.
Then face tomorrow with the view-
each waking day arrives as new.
As I try to still my racing thoughts,
and prepare to rest for the night
Everything I didn't accomplish today
runs through my mind and I feel defeated
Until I realize that I was kind today,
I helped more than one person,
I smiled and greeted those I encountered
Accomplishing a to-do list is great
but having compassion and being decent
are things that everyone should strive for
Never Give Up

Each person is given
an allotted time from birth,
We use this time, dubbed life,
trying to prove our worth.
Many will become famous
accomplishing great things,
While the disadvantaged
dreams of living like kings.
Many face daily laboring
in the days scorching heat,
Grubbing out an existence
without shoes on their feet.
While the affluent thinks daily
of a menu’s choice of meat,
The impoverished is questioning
whether or not they will eat.
Each person does the things
of which they’ve been made able,
While one dines like a king
the other, crumbs from his table.
But each is held responsible
for the things in their cup,
Many can no longer persevere
and just simply give up.
spent too much time on my
quest for global domination
might have forgotten for only a time what it means to be a pawn card in the deck.
So shuffled up and dealt to deal with the hustle and shuffle.
The unnatural shifts we call society.
It played out last time the deck was stacked and look at that
we all got another throw of it.
Everyone wants to be the deck builder or master,
but who wrote the flavor text?
The intelligent among us no doubt can quote in their parlor message boards,
glowing screen Balkans,
accomplishing nothing
yet proving even less
September 3 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 18-20
Key Verse – Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR LETTING US TURN UNTO HIM
Praise be to God for letting us return unto Him to:
Walk with Him by His wisdom
Work for Him through His Word
Worship Him along His watchfulness
Wait for Him willingly against worldly wants
Win against wavering, wantonness, and weariness
Ezekiel 19:1, 14 Praise be to the Lord for sending us
revival midst lamentation with His:
Love that lessens and lightens our load
Leadership for us as on Him we lean
Lifting-up while living by His liberty
Learnings with His life-lessons
Light in our lively laughter
Ezekiel 20:12 Praise be to the Saviour for sanctifying us:
Accomplishing His acts against our abominations
Asserting His authority above our arrogance
Affirming His attributes to our adoration
Approving our accountable attitude
Accepting our assured authenticity. Amen!

What matters most is their role fulfillment
as feathered fowls mentioned by the Scriptures
and they, as God’s wondrous ocean creatures
triumphant midst freedom-geared commitment.
Optimizing well their musical zest
song birds render their chorus with delight
while fishes exercise production might
achieving for the best, feeling so blest.
With contrasting pursuit midst their design
they enjoy serenely granted lifestyle
never competing, nor jealous... meanwhile
complementing each other as they shine.
Learning from birds, I would sing and soar high
then from fishes, maximize and share grace
being a blessing in running life's race*
accomplishing, whether I swim or fly.
*Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
