Distance

Between you and me,
Distance is gravity,
A Distance makes you moon,
And me sun, Your beauty,
Is nothing but from a distance,
Life is only the a status of,
Being at distance from death,
Things are things from a
Specific distance,
Love is distance from hate.
Who made the world
By the distance, or,
By the God,
Who made the God?
By the distance!
Who made distance ?
By the God?

Lips

Lovely to behold, the curves
Inviting to be kissed, touched
Pretty quickening my nerves
Sweet nectar when our lips clutched.

Premium Memberkraken bagged his first clipper ship

kraken bagged his first clipper ship on a Monday afternoon.
I love the feel of it in the bag, he told his cousin Swoon.
Swoon thought that keeping a ship in a bag was bad luck.
He asked how the creatures would breathe, but
Kraken did not give a gut

Premium Membersexy alligator sue

sexy alligator Sue sat alone, nursing her drink at the bar
the umbrella in her rum turned a bit, not very far
Whispered to her you are going to find the love of our life
Along came an English man, but he was with his third wife

Sue knew she was a hottie, she played it to the max
The next fellow she saw, was carrying a super large sax
He played sorrowful blues music, which caused her to blush
Against a thin wall, you could hear a toilet flush

This is a dive, thought sexy alligator, but I dare not give up now
Next potential date brought his mother, a persnickety cow
Women who eat in bars are pathetic, she said to Sexy Alligator Sue
Pointing her hoof in a nasty way – mean lady, that cow Lou.

Our unfinished story?

You were nothing.
Closing any chapter with you feels like heartbreak,
The small crinkle that the crack makes,
That little sigh my heart takes,
You, oblivious to the stakes.
Hoping you only look this good in my arms.
Hoping you only miss me when you’re drunk.
Hoping for you.
Wishing you understood; you were poetry I wove with my own two hands.
You were ordinary but in my mind you were magic.
My love turned you into flowers blooming at cemeteries
and rain filling up crevices of drought.
But
You and me;
We’re a living testament that loving someone is not nearly enough.
The pain won,
But I hope you know, to me,
You will always be worth the inconvenience.
I will always remember you;
In little flowers behind ears
and rearview mirrors,
In Parked cars conversations,
and last minute cancellations.
You were everything political
You were everything painful
You were everything heartbreaking
You were everything beautiful
You were everything I once wanted
You were everything mine
You were everything.

The silent kiss

We sit so close, yet worlds apart, breathing the same air but trapped by our fear. Your hand brushes mine, and it’s like the universe pauses, a trembling spark I can’t name, a kiss that doesn’t need lips.

I want to tell you everything... how every glance of yours steals my breath, how every moment without you feels like a storm. But my voice falters, my courage hides in the shadows of doubt. What if you don’t feel the same? What if this fragile thing between us breaks?

And still, the silence speaks. It presses close, heavy with longing, and I feel your heart echoing mine in the spaces where words cannot reach. The curve of your lips, The warmth of your hand, it’s a kiss I can feel in my soul soft, trembling, infinite.

I ache to close the distance, to let the world vanish in that single moment, but fear pins me still, and yet even in this quiet, I am drowning in you.

"This silent kiss is everything I've ever needed, though it never touched your lips."

Civilizations Come and Go

Every civilization has an hour glass
Filled with both a future and a past
The top is filled with the sand of Love
Slowly leaking with the pouring into a cup
Over time the world has seen
The cup receiving love is the cup of iniquity

Gone are civilizations that worshiped idols
Inhumane practices taught by
Lost souls and fallen angels
Gone are the nations that did not follow God
That feeling that something was wrong in their heart
The soul has eyes that the Spirit gives to see
Before it's too late it is time to flee

Going are the lost who tell the lies
All for a price thinking God is not alive
Blind are the eyes that refuse to see
The filling of the cup called Iniquity
Though their end has yet to be
The end is coming to that society

Too late came the call to get on the boat
While they were yet preparing to have a vote
Too late will be that day when justice mattered
While media takes the stand to give them flatter
Lost will be the day that was long ago sound
The end of a civilization our for fathers found

Cross-Examination by My Nosy Friend

Do you have a crush on someone recently? you pry,
Girl, you sound like Sherlock, but with less alibi.

I know, I know- but are you sure? Perfectly sure?
Yes, unlike your math skills, my answers are pure.

You're not lying? I read your poems- caught my eye…
Congrats on your reading skills, do you want a pie?

Did someone else write that, or was it you?
Honey, plagiarism requires brains- guess who has two?

So you admit it? How can you? you yell,
Relax, this isn’t Judge Judy, I won’t go to jail.

You write love poems based on famous ppl? Srsly?
Yes, and unlike your crushes, at least they notice me.

I doubt you can write so much without going through it,
Yet here you are gossiping, proving my wit.

You post so people can read too, right?
Well duh, unlike your diary, mine sees daylight.

You had a crush in the past, I know it for sure now,
Congrats, Miss Detective, take your awkward bow.

You say I roasted myself- well that may be true,
But trust me, my dear, I roast better than you.

Premium Member10th Grade Stairwell

Everyday you pass her on the stairs
You’re not sure if she even cares
Or feels the same way you do
Gosh it hurts just lookin’ at you

Love rues yeah love rues

Does she feel the connection too
Or is it all in my mind as I’m passing by you
Then you catch my eye, and I turn my face
I’ll try again tomorrow, it's part of the chase

Love rues yeah love rues

Premium Membertribute to Ostira Goddess of Spring

she breezes in with the April winds
a lovely lass pure and romantically inclined
baby animals frolic with her in the meadow
the tulips struggle toward the sun to whisper hello
she is Ostira, Goddess of Spring

Refreshing grasses wave in wonderment at the princess
Iris stand proudly, hoping to be noticed by their monarch.
zinnias sit back and relax, confident in their beauty without praise.
in their oranges, pinks, and yellows what can be prettier?
Every plant feels newly-done, rejuvenated, refurbished
spring is leaping in the air with joy for she is here!
Ostira, Goddess of Spring

many think they know her; the lilacs do.
The daffodils created her for they are the cheerleaders
Arriving first, like conductors, guiding the flower brigade
Bleeding hearts, daisies and dandelions love her also
She is Ostira, Goddess of Spring

Premium MemberSummer of love

heart full of wishes
lips full of kisses,
roses red with bees,
twitter, twitter trees,
summer abloom with love.

shopping malls are full,
new fashions their pull,
laughter, giggles, cheer,
beauty walks new wear,
Summer abloom with love.

ice cream vendors day,
amidst kids at play,
shorts, hats and sun cream,
romance, hearts in dream,
Summer abloom with love.

brook slithers slowly,
lilting sweet lovely,
long while to sunset,
when world looks the best,
Summer abloom with love,

…. and in my arms my angel.

When Peace Became a Memory

By Tanvir Mostafa

Where are our those days, where is our lost society?
What we behold right now—is it the proper system of community?
Does goodness prevail or exist in the mid of us really?
We find soundness of reason and justice only occasionally.
Many a poet says the world is the right place for love and peace,
But perhaps that thought belonged to their own time, not this..
This is the time of anarchy, violence, and indiscipline,
We find people talk about problem and suffering.
Now people deal with science and technology,
But many noble souls died for their ideology..
People in this modernity, with what they have, can’t remain happy, Their restless minds still chase a missing harmony.
How can I embrace the sayings of poets?
Instead of love and peace, the world is a place of riots.
Deadly weapons are made to put an end to lives,
As if only hatred and bloodshed survive.
