Notes About The Poem

Since I don't have a DeLorean to travel though time

I travel back (I wanna go back) in the words I rhyme

(This is for Debbie)

10th Grade Stairwell

Everyday you pass her on the stairs
You’re not sure if she even cares
Or feels the same way you do
Gosh it hurts just lookin’ at you

Love rues yeah love rues

Does she feel the connection too
Or is it all in my mind as I’m passing by you
Then you catch my eye, and I turn my face
I’ll try again tomorrow, it's part of the chase

Love rues yeah love rues
