The wind howled ice-cold, clear-sky lullabies and awoke the moon, who gazed, heavy-lidded, at the stars around her Leaves and dust danced sambas and pirouetted along the desert's river, who was shivering uncontrollably while midnight birds struggled to fly upstream against the manic, stinging, musical currents of turbulence and wonder
