Gee, and I thought 'wassail' was like 'Wassup?' --OK, not really. I may be senile, but I'm not gone yet... Keep smiling, gw

That’s the way to use alliteration so that a poem makes perfect sense. Not just a string of words beginning with same letter. Excellent form. Sara.

That sure is a lot of ‘W’s, Sara. You didn’t wanna go making life easy on yourself, did you. Your contemplative walk on the wild side, with such abundant alliteration does you proud. Enjoyed muchly. Terry

Dear sara, i love that picture youv used, and i always felt like growing up, i was a wanderer, i must also highlight the alliterations and seamless flow of them and how youv delivered this too is beyond moving and thought provoking. Youve expressed here how sometimes as time goes by and we face woes and more through weary walks, we ponder and think of life beyond and after as thats whats next. I guess so many must have gone through that state of mind: pleasure always reading your work.

something else we have in common, dear Ink....I was a loner and wanderer as a kid...living in my own world unincumbered in a way...lost in my own thoughts and imagination. I agree...sometimes we face woes and our walks are weary....well said. Thanks for stopping by; have a splendid evening, hugs, Sara

Dear Sara, What a breathtakingly vivid winter scene. I love the flow and how the wassail warmth contrasts with the "wrath and woe." And that last line...! Intriguing and thought-provoking. Great use of aliterations. A FAV! - Blessings, Daniel

Brilliant alliteration in your verse Sara, saw some man's tee-shirt the other day and it said, 'wanderers are not always lost' , that's me when I go shopping with my wife lol. Tom
