The Winds of Change

Change is coming like a vast, mighty wind. To shake up the foundation of the land. Rooting out all that's bad for humankind, Folks from all over can stand hand and hand. Hate and intolerance will be no more. Learn to live in a world where we are one, Allow kindness to fill us to the core; These are signs that real change has begun. Then healing can start in our heart and soul. Next, we can rebuild the nation with love, Walking in compassion will be the goal. Peace will rule us, a gift from up above. That's what can occur from the winds of change, Things will get shaken; lives will rearrange. 11/19/2020

You did this very very well, Alexis! Great syllable counting, FLOW and rhyming pattern, and above all, message of hope. unlike you, my sonnet is on the negative side. I cannot seem to see peace coming to his world. I guess the old religion in me keeps going back to the warnings of Revelations, and it's hard for me to believe that peace can ever come to us. I think this is what John was hoping to see from us, so kudos, I think you hit it out of the park!
