Hey YOU, Yes, I’m talking to YOU Please listen to me… You used to comment on almost every poem But you don’t visit me of late So I have to ask the question, Why has your support turned to hate? Actually… don’t bother answering that because now I know A little bird told me the reason why They’ve been advised on 'twofacedbook' NOT to comment on my poems. It's a sad fact they did not deny. So we have a puppeteer who pulls so many strings Sadly, blinkered marionettes keep dancing to tunes and keep doing these petty things. Well, to be honest I’m glad you’ve cut the ties It’s a pity folks can’t make up their own minds and not listen to malicious gossip and lies. 12/22/17 Background to the poem. I made a comment on a poem about a lack of reads and comments recently. Totally out of the blue another person informed me they had been requested via twofacedbook not to comment on my poems but thankfully they took no notice of this. They did not mention who is behind it and to be honest I don’t want to know, but I am just sad that someone stoops so low. Comments or no comments I will continue to write and be an active member of the soup community and will deterred from posting on soup

This is funny, I have something similar a message to put out there I don't care for dickheads that say my poems are too long, I joke with a some people when their poems are too short and I say can you shorten them hah But I do dislike other this is what I had to say to them https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/you_-----------------_prudes__996806

I as long as a poem grabs my attention from the start I will read it long or short, pah to the morons who say your poems are too long, will drop by your poem:-) hugs Jan xx

Don't fret, Jan, that's like taking a bow at the Albert Hall and seeing someone tell their partner not to clap, while the rest of the auditorium does. My poem ' here we go again' I published a week or two ago hasn't had any comments, but I don't panic. I'm expressing myself, it's cathartic for me, sometimes gives joy or empathy, but every poem is like a Chinese lantern- hit 'send' when you're happy, let it go and the winds will do as they will. Keep on trucking. Viv x

Hey Jan It wasnt me! Ha ha so I did plumbing job for a fake friend who promptly fired me halfway through the job "saying your heads not in your job its more on poetry" perplexed I just left and then found out his wife was rhyming a bit and saw mine also on fb. Hers was drivel and then it dawned on me. Its jealousy!! She told him to fire me and being a wimp did just that. When I saw her in the shops she ducked between the shelves ha ha

Hey let's not blame Facebook for human nature. Its a social site so naturally it will get twisted for evil purposes by that's not its fault. Also its strange they would even mention it without being asked. Trust no one

I have had such support and am amazed I got POTW ... only one commenter has suggested that I should have ignored it and I shouldn't have spoken out but I am only writing the truth no matter how distasteful it is. It's just not right to urge people to blacklist other writers. It makes no sense at all. We are free to read and comment according to our choices; imposition never harvested any good! Keep on writing, Jan, your way. I have a FB account, but hardly ever find the time to use it. Hugs // paul

Thanks Paul I agree with you that there has been a noticeable lack of reads and comments over recent months but when you are informed by 2 people that they have been told not to comment then this is a different matter. I don't do 2facedbook for many reasons and this pathetic behaviour makes me glad of my decision!:-) Hugs jan xx

Really sad to hear of such things happening, Jan, and I'm glad that I'm not on facebook..each one has his/her own choice to read or not, others shouldn't dictate terms:( you keep on the writing and enjoy your holidays with your son:)

Jan, I saw your note on my 'Mute It' lim that you had posted this-so I came to see. It's sad indeed if this is happening. Personally, I have never been asked by anyone on FB to NOT read someone's work. That's ludicrous. We all have our own minds and make our own decisions. Not sure why anyone would actually heed a command like that. I do know that there are days at a time when I don't have time to read PS... and with the holidays maybe this is what's happening with your comments??? Write on!

Thanks Judith:-) I agree that soup is very quiet but I've had it confirmed by several people they have been 'advised' on 2facedbook not to comment on my poetry ... I hope whoever is behind it has read the poem and will see I will not be bullied and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of reads and comments this particular poem has generated which is the very thing they are trying to stop:-) hugs jan xx

Jan, you keep writing and doing what you do, comments are great but the amount of comments on our poems do not define our poetry or us as poets or people. The childish, stupid and just plain mean spirited thing about this is not only the person who started it but the mindless morons who followed. I wouldn't and couldn't name names Mo I am dumbfounded as to why I have been targeted but believe me I will never be bullied by faceless morons who try to get other people to do their dirty work. I am sure whoever is behind the stupidity will have seen the poem and I hope they can see the support I have in highlighting this pathetic behaviour in fact I have so many reads and comments on this one poem far more than many i have posted in the last few months :-) hugs jan xx

I can only agree with you Dale -its such a shame someone has to stoop so low on 2facedbook but they will be wiping the smirk off their face as this poem has had more reads and comments in one day than I've had on many of my poems posted in the last few months so their childish behaviour has backfired and they have been caught out. I don't think they expected someone to ignore the request not to comment on my poems and for them to tell me what was being done!:-) hugs jan xx

aww Thanks Akkina:-) I have learned so so much since i wrote my first poem in Nov 2013 and started posting on soup in Feb 2014. Wow, Jan, you really struck a nerve with this; it looks like so many are rallying behind you. I am so glad to hear that you will not let the bullying deter you, and I am saddened to that others will not be renewing. The amount of reads and comments and support is wonderful to see John. My poem highlights this petty behavior is going on via 2facedbook - i hope who ever is doing this to me can see I really don't give a toss about their puerile actions. I have a lifetime PM and i am going to use it as long as i can hold a pencil:-) hugs jan xx

Hi Jan, I can relate to the lack of views. In my case it is probably because time has pulled me away and I have not posted as much and also not commented as much. I do try to visit the people who still read my work. You are one of the sweetest people here, I’m sad that this behaviour is directed at you or anyone else.

I was stalked and bullied on FB about four years ago and decided it was not for me and I don't miss it a bit. It's refreshing, actually, to not have that gossipy crap to deal with. Deactivate your FB account and breathe a sigh of relief. I've read there are more fake FB accounts than the whole population of Egypt and I sincerely believe it. I'm saddened to hear that Tim Smith and Lin Lane are not renewing...that's exactly what the trolls want. Sad. Keep writing, Dear. Be strong!

I don't use twofaced book Rhoda and I'm so sorry you have had such terrible issues. I wrote a poem called 'being bullied' on a young Manx girl who committed suicide over on line bullying - I'm sure FB has some positive aspects but also creates deeper and darker issues and I don't use it.:-) hugs jan xx

Look at the number of comments you are getting now... So whoever, whatever, they're doing...it's not working... It's amazing why a poet would not uplift another poet...What is there to gain... Only weeds try to choke a flower ... All the best Jan

They say what goes around comes around so hopefully karma will bite them on the bum. I have noticed a reduction in comments and reads overall on the site but for someone to actually tell you they have been told not to comment on your work is pretty disgusting:-( makes me smile this poem has had more reads and comments than many I've posted over the last 3 weeks, so i have touched a nerve somewhere! lol:-) hugs jan xx
