The Narrow Way

For Catie's "Road Less Traveled" contest I didn’t have to search for him. He was there within the room when I took my first breath of fresh air upon leaving Mother’s womb. For nine long months she’d carried me to the little church on Sunday, where she listened to the gospel words which were not forgotten Monday. My whole childhood was one of love and learning of God with wonder. A bond was forged so fast with Him it could not go asunder. I went to a little country school. The teacher started our day with prayer. There were no laws then that would forbid her true love of God to share. There have been many precious people who have been glad to show the way. Guided by love with every step there has been no need to stray. “For God so loved the world he gave His only begotten son that for whomsoever believes in him eternal life is won". The Bible verses are still there, upon which I have based my life. Reading His word led me to be a better mother and wife. Mathew, Mark, Luke and John St. Paul and many others have written the story for all of us. It’s retold by fathers and mothers. By Joyce Johnson 4/19/11 Won 6th place

Joyce, I wish this were the road MORE traveled. If everyone had been raised in a loving home where faith was so important, can you imagine how much better our world would be today? You have a gift of grace and a talent for expressing your thoughts so eloquently. Wonderful entry for Catie's contest. She's sure to love this as I do. Hope spring is being kind to you. Have a wonderful Easter, dear. Still praying for your brother. Love, Carolyn
