The Conclusion of the Delusion

Evil creeps upon the face of the earth Like lengthening shadows in a hot sun All that it touches loses its true worth Chaos and delusion, have now begun The ultimate illusion has caught man There is no stopping it until the end Driven by greed instead of one’s need It will seem like we’ve lost, then Truth will win You’re probably asking what we can do The light of God’s Love will show us the way In Him alone is the victory sure He’ll soon return, what a glorious day

Hello Bill. Good Morning. This is lovely. I especially liked your first quatrain and how smooth and poetic it is and how the rhyme was never forced. That one stanza alone is poetry Bill not that the rest of the entry isn't. And yes, you ended and left us with a positive note and thought. (smile) Have a wonderful morning and day. Yes, Valsa, a hint of warning, for my heart aches for those that are caught up in hate and destruction. When a person begins to thing the only way to win is by spreading hate of others, it shows the lack of Love in there hearts and thus a lack of faith in Love, Truth and Light. I am very moved and energized by what you have written, my dear friend Bill. This poem is one of my favorites, and I think the final verse is particularly strong. The glow of Divine love illuminates the path before us, and it is only in him that we may find triumph. This is a beautiful poem to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of joining PS.
