A sonnet was invented by Shakespeare, the love bard who wrote without any fear. He had little problem with flow and rhyme, his words still admired after all this time. But, did he have a beloved like mine? One whose beauty comforts the stars to shine. That's why her eyes show me the way at night, one simple glimpse inspires my pen to write. Tender rose that blooms deep within my heart, her petals are a unique piece of art. A dedicated love that's hard to find, her voice brings peace to my burdensome mind. to use Shakespeare in a love poem is rather fitting, for the poem to be a sonnet is not only fitting but correct...well done...poet

LOVE FLOWING LIKE A RIVER IN THIS FINE SONNET MY FRIEND. Shakespeare wrote so well about love and mankind's need for it , as well as even the dark side of love--when evil creeps into relationships. Love is truth but in relationships sometimes truth is abandoned and then darkness reigns. Love this uplifting sonnet,
