Gosh, the old tv shows. I am too young to remember some, but I confess to watching Bonanza. (Don't tell ) Such funny backdrops, music when the bad guy arrives and the son calling his dad "Paw" throughout the show. Black and white film painted in with new age color inks. Now so much junk on tv. It used to be so entertaining. I'm glad I found this one. :0)

"Injun" is an originally 17th century mispronunciation of "Indian", generally considered offensive today, used to mock or impersonate Native Americans' or early settlers'--It's all there! Hello Gershon thank you for visiting. Otherwise, I'm in like flint! And no, I am not a pretendian nor do I believe that there is such a thing as the "po po" of morality...just comments!

Thank you so much for the education, Anaya, and for all the insightful comments to my poems. With appreciation, Gershon (P.S. It's curtains for the 'I-word' for Indian for me. Hadn't realized that it was offensive. Thanks again).

Nice irony, GW. In my upbringing it was black and white, though I'll admit I didn't grow up watching westerns. It's amazing to consider how powerful Hollywood is/was to create an ethos where we all grew up thinking Indians were always 'the bad guys'. I like your wordplay between 'dying' and 'living color'.

Well, serves them injuns right… trying to invade the American’s land like that… Hang about… I think I might have that inside out. You say a great deal with few words, Gershon. Terry

So true. The nerve of those Native Americans trying to stop English invaders. Did we try to stop the Beatles?! No! Apt comparison there, eh?! lol. Thanks, Terry. ~ gw

Yep! Rather spend my time with real noodles and sauce -- oh, some good grated cheese. Joe. Have a beautiful day my friend.

Glorifying the days of America's practicing genocide. How delightful!

My sentiments exactly... Another pet peeve of mine is the glorification of common criminals, such as 'Bonnie & Clyde,' Mafiosos, and others of their ilk. Oh, well... No one elected me to serve with the 'Morality Police,' so normally I just bite the proverbial bullet. ~ gw

Clint Eastwood was my favorite actor in those movies. Blessings ~ Debra
