There is one melancholy place that I've only been to once but will never revisit; the gravesite of my parents. I sometimes think of going back there, but I never follow through. It's not out of disrespect; it's that I've turned that page in my life, and I do not wish to revisit the pain I felt at their passing. I do not seek them in that place, for they were never there, to begin with. The only thing buried in that cemetery are memories, and they're not all fond ones. If I genuinely believe all humans have eternal souls, then they are beyond my reach, and I need not visit their mortal remains, for there, they will return to the dust they were made from, although I sometimes wish I could bring myself to do so.
people visit plots
where their loved ones lie buried...
yet souls cannot die
