There is a science to silence
Sometimes it's sweet and soft like
dipping strawberries in chocolate.
When you are like a rock in solitude,
striving for spiritual consciousness.
When wounds bleed onto white fabric,
despite washing, still bitter and stubborn.
Existing like an ancient solitary tree in a field,
surrounded by cow**** and broken branches.
Motionless like a soggy pillow at 3am,
with speechless tears reflected in poems.
Predictable like a scared fly on a cobweb,
trapped and awaiting its forthcoming fate.
Like a cemetery of haunting photographs,
urns and coffins unable to provide answers.
