Lol, yes, U imagine, utterly scary! I am glad to see you back Bill! I too am off for quite some time and then back for a little while. This poem was fun! I never milked a cow though my uncle had one on his farm and they tried to get me to a few times, then said "Don't go on that side, she'll kick you!!" I was like NOPE! It sure is good to see your poem, I'd looked for you two awhile back and was disappointed, but yay! Bills back! I hope that you and sweet Sara are doing well :)

Outstanding poem humorously captures the challenges of managing a large dairy farm. It emphasizes the hard work and dedication of the farmer, Larry, while also highlighting the daunting task of milking a significant number of cows. My very best regards to you and Sara, I hope she's doing well.

Thanks for the visit and comment, my dear friend. Sara is doing well. She's been published in several magazines each of these last 4 months and is still write four or five poems a day. We've both missed the banter and friendships here at poetry soup. I've struggled with the separation much more than Sara has. She's been wanting to do more writing and publishing and her love of writing poetry 6-8 hours a day was impacting her ability to write memoirs and short stories. Thanks for the regards, Sara says thanks too. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Hello Bill, First let me say I have missed you and your wife and the many poems and comments back and forth. I loved your limerick, and having grown up on a dairy farm where we hand milked, this made me smile. I hope you and your wife are doing well. Autumn Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

This is a delightful limerick to read today my dear friend Bill. I never had experienced milking a cow so I want to try one someday but to have that large number, it's absolutely scary. Thanks for the smiles and sharing this precious limerick. God bless you always. I apologize for the late visit my dear poet friend. Thanks belatedly also for faving my Why I became a poet poem. Good one, Bill. I imagine dairy farmers thank God every day for electric or gas operated milking machines. LOL..They still have to put those on the cows and take them off but at least the worse or hardest part is made easy. Thanks for sharing the humor. Sara K
