The purrfect time for a cup of tea Is in the afternoon at three In my cosy chair I’m at rest It’s cat time I enjoy the best. A chance to read my latest book It’s about a cat who was a crook A gripping tale of woe it is He even stole from his big sis. Then I will take a short cat-nap With a warm rug upon my lap Glasses off and my eyelids closed To dream of catching mice as I doze.
