What needs, have I? Can my soul be renewed? Give me O Lord a clean heart. Life has made me weary, I plod on and on seemingly achieving nothing. Others distinguish themselves, Not I, alas. What should be my goal? Can I reach it alone? Have I not tried? I found nothing worthwhile. Only darkness and despair. A daily life full of ills, shortcomings all the way. But you O Lord are full of mercy, generous in forgiveness, a giver of new life. As I feel your saving grace I am refreshed. I live. Let me be the light, a beacon of example to others less unfortunate than me.

I can empathize with you, Victor. As I've aged I ponder some of the same things...am sad sometimes, too, with the regrets and the frailties that come with aging. But like you I find hope in each day and strive to be a beacon of hope. Well said, Victor. Sara

Victor! I doubt i complete 98% of my poems without a nod to you. Truly. Now, you know you do always walk toward the Light & that that IS success. At 72, i’m a bit fretting over my legacy. I’m not the “great” poet I’d hope, but means more to me really, to tell of & spread God’s ways & optimism. Victor, you exude desire & imagination & appreciation. God has used U 4 His work all along. Come, sit with me awhile & we’ll laugh at our foibles. (I’ll show U my foibles if you show yours…!

Can we relax in the arms of Jesus as we age? We marvel at His words with less words of our own to say back. I’m sure you have been a beacon to draw others into the arms of Christ. Blessings, dear one!

A prayer coming from your heart. But onething I can't understand. Despite all the gifts God has lavished on you, why do you feel worthless and incompetent. May God give you a cheerful disposition and better health, dear Victor.
