heart ~ a wild collage of gold-smeared skies pressed within oil-washed layers of breathing melancholy as leaves curled in cashmere greens trace condensed contours between the restless air stroking the pine needles soaked in the dewy-dreamed breeze of piercing persimmon where time takes a trembling leap sailing into vermilion arms of the colorful oblivion... and herbs of hope f a l l like iron nails of silence as the sun seizes saffron sighs of love caged amidst the tangerine tips of tomorrow, peeking from the edge of f l e e t i n g summer, as amber embers s w i r l and s w a y above roots of resilience rushing with grains of patience while you question the velvety filter of fatigued fog as if every burden I’ve worn~ almost bent and broken, is a fabricated lie sketched not with tears... O lovelorn twigs forlorn ferns this I frame in windswept woes ~ an aesthetic archive in the museum of r u s t l i n g murmurs…

The concluding lines are poetry of the best sort. When Van Gogh created a masterpiece with paint and brush, you have created a masterpiece with ink and pen. This poem stands testimony to your amazing talent. "heart ~ a wild collage of gold-smeared skies pressed within oil-washed layers of breathing melancholy" The opening and the closing lines are equally breath taking. I see another chance of you flaunting a trophy. All the Best , sweet friend. I have been away for a day and busy with guests at home. So couldn't read many of your poems.

It is truly extraordinary how Van Gogh created this painting using a spectrum comprised of only two colors, and of course the texture, the living texture that only he could do...all expertly balanced by instinct and painstakingly developed technique. I love his vibrational light. You hold the energy of his heart with no rigid preconceptions, just a joy for the life of Van Gogh's depth of feeling Poetess. "Cashmere greens...where Time takes a trembling leap" Your emotions are a gallery of trials

Brilliance, poetess I truly felt every line, the pine trees accentuated to emphasize size and coloring wild against the "gold-smeared skies" and the "dewy-dreamed breeze" wow, display artistic and a 'True' ekpharsis as well! Emphasizing on the famous painter's honestly beautiful work, rather than 'Just' insights of the poet. Bravo. Brilliant both painting and poet ~ xhugs!!!! Faving

Dearest Ink, The poem "Heart ~ A Wild Collage" explores the intricacies of human emotions, including love and despair. The artwork depicts a profound interweaving of pleasure and grief, highlighting existential challenges, hope, and fortitude in the face of life's hardships. The poem explores the fleeting essence of time and the beauty found in sorrow, eventually conveying a feeling of desire and regret. Your diction in the poem is rich and expressive, including vivid imagery and sensory elements. Phrases like "gold-smeared sky," "cashmere greens," and "saffron sighs of love" create a rich, visual world that pulls the reader in. The use of color (e.g., "vermilion," "tangerine," "amber") adds emotional depth by linking sentiments with particular colors and experiences. Best wishes for the contest.

IE, you have some wonderful insights into this picture. There's a lot going on, and I liken it to a struggle, which you capture very well. We are so lucky to be able to see all these things and to have an interpreter such as you. Take care and smiles!!

When it comes down to which I prefer... an original van Gogh or an original Ink Empress... on this one I'll pass on the van Gogh. Master that he was, all I see are olive trees and not pines, and an angry sky that blazes like orange flames. See what an on-point art critique I am? Seriously, Ink, I like your shorter lines in this write.

I love this! It's deserving of all the accolades (as you might say) :) just wonderful imagery that draws the reader deeply into the painting and overwhelming emotion. I read with speed, I presume as directed by your short lines but felt almost breathless as I neared the end - creating a really immersive experience! Such skill on display here that I'm really lost for words to convey how impressed I am - excellent!

I was just one of few doing ekphrasis rather than any talent at it. I'm thrilled to see poets exploring the form more. It's like 4D poetry :) I'll check out POTD! ;)
