Our Worth
Though Midas had his fabled touch of gold
Real treasure comes with that first touch of spring
Upon arrival swollen buds explode
In colors that would thrill a golden king
That kind of beauty can't be bought or sold
Such richness in the bounty which she brings
Reminding us in her own subtle way
Our worth is in the beauty we display
