The Science Behind Falling Leaves - Premier Tree Solutions

The beauty of your life is so easy to see, In the colors and lines of your symmetry. After a time with the tree of your life, Severed from your stem by the wind as a knife. To ride the wind and swirl to the ground, To please another as your beauty is found. I can see in your color a purpose you serve, Formed to perfection, each little curve. Planted in rich soil, the tree grew quite tall, A steam flowing near, gave water to all. The roots, limbs and branches their part so bold, To bring out the best in the warmth and the cold. But it is truly my solemn belief, A tree is most beautiful because of the leaf.

I've read some of your poems this evening and this one has been my favorite. I live in Florida but spent over 50 years in West Virginia where mountainous woods are plentiful; we know autumn color. Yes, I do love the leaves and you have done them justice, but I also love the stark beauty of a leafless tree. The bark and form can be as varied and lovely as the leaves. Thanks for your visit.

Your very right, Faye, few see the beauty of the tree without the leaves. The shape and the bark are beauty in their own way. I lived in Youngstown, as a boy. Our family used to take Sunday afternoon drives through W. Va. It's a beautiful state. Sorry for the slow response to you comment, I didn't notice this new comment until today. Have a joyful day, Bill

A tree devoid of leaves will be a sorry sight. It is the leaves which give beauty and symmetry to the tree.. ! A lovely tribute to the fallen leaf ! Each little leaf is an art in itself with corrugated edges and a pointed tip or curved in shape. A well written Ode

My wife and I walk daily and in the Fall we pick up unique leaves we see along the way. The designs in them are awesome. Thanks for your comment, Valsa Bill

This is such an awesome tribute to a leaf, Bill. An individual leaf doesn't often get to shine like this. You've really put one in the spotlight! Very nice. Best always, Gershon

Leaf it up to me, lol We so often miss the beauty of parts because of the overwhelming beauty of the whole. Bill

You are a poet whose heart feels what mine does about the demise of leaves. Their use and beauty are too short lived, too often taken for granted by those who do not appreciate them. Sonnet form is perfectly applicable for your sentiments, Bill.

So true, I think, too, Bill. Never really thought of it that way, but it is the leaves that make the tree beautiful. In the wintertime, the tree resembles a skeleton.
