I go to nature to find my calmness and tranquility, To still my mind in the deep green- to repose quietly; Oh the sylvan birds sing to me from towering trees lovely. And in the deep forest I find my restful serenity, The lush green inspires my muse to sweet creativity; Grand and venerable nature stands placid in its own fragility. Trees primeval, ancient and mysterious with divinity, It feels that I have slipped into a strange world of antiquity; The canopy- like a church dome that I must bow my head in humility. I go to nature to find my own sweet serendipity, And I leave in a trance of wondrous and amazing possibility. ______________________________ May 9, 2016 Poetry/Monorhyme/My Serendipity Copyright Protected, ID 16- 788-044-0 All Rights Reserved. I enjoyed this read. Nature has a way of bringing us sweet tranquility...which, by the way, is one of my favorite words. :) Good luck in the contest.
