Let Me Be a Lion

I observe the stimulation of my feet,
How tendons tense and then relax again.
I am surprised that where I once felt pain,
Sensations are absent beneath this sheet.
This funny thing sends pulses through me fast.
Legs twitch without my explicit consent.
Although they move, they look like hard cement:
The way they used to be in their white cast.
It's strange because I want them to be limp...
They won't walk anyway, so what's the use!
I love my wheels, have nothing left to lose.
Just let me be a lion, not an imp.
My wheels are fast, they do just what I need
I need no stimulation of my feet!
